    Chapter 353


    Keegan stood outside the clinic to wait for them, and he did not realize that he had caught a lot of


    people’s attention.


    Obviously, it was because of how attractive he looked, and the fact that he apanied his wife here


    to see the doctor, so thedies there got very interested in him.


    However, there was one particrdy that gave him a very strange look.


    Keegan noticed it, and he thought that he was standing in her way. So, he moved to the side.


    However, that chattydy opened her mouth. “Young man, you look like a decent man. Why would you


    hire such an assistant?”


    Keegan was puzzled.


    Then, thedy continued mysteriously after seeing the confused look on his face. “Your assistant kept


    walking back and forth outside like a cat on a hot tin roof before you arrived. Who would be so nervous


    while seeing the doctor with somebody else’s wife? Also, why would you even hire such a young


    assistant to take care of your beautiful wife? This is never going to end up well!”


    The edge of Keegan’s mouth twitched. Then, he pursed his lips and said, “He’s been working for me for


    many years.”


    Thedy pped her thigh. “That’s even scarier! I’m sure that the bastard has developed feelings for


    her after so many years!”


    Thedy told Keegan about every suspicious thing that she noticed while spraying spit all over Keegan.


    She only stopped talking when it was finally her turn to meet the doctor.


    She even added before she left, “Young man, you’d better keep an eye out on him if you don’t want


    things to get worse.’


    When Aldor returned with the water, Keegan looked at him fiercely.


    Aldor’s heart sank. Then, he immediately put a smile on. “Mr. Kane, are they not back yet?”


    “Nope.”


    Keegan’s voice sounded a little cold.


    So, Aldor said cautiously, “Mr. Kane, do you want some water? I have both warm and cold ones. I


    bought some drinks too. What do you feel like drinking?”


    “There’s only four of us. Why did you buy so many drinks?”


    “It’s better fordies like Mrs. Kane and her friend to have warm drinks.”


    Keegan stared at him for a second before he said out of the blue, “You’re pretty thoughtful.”


    Aldor was speechless.


    Keegan’s strange tone did not sound like he wasplimenting Aldor at all. The look on his face was


    very odd too, and it made Aidor feel like Keegan was a little bitter and angry.


    Aldor was a very self-conscious person, but he could not figure out what he did wrong which


    could’ve to this unusual reaction from his boss.


    That was why Ste and Felicity saw how ufortable Aldor looked while standing in front of Keegan


    with those drinks in his hands.


    “Why are the both of you standing right at the entrance?”


    Ste pulled Keegan to the side. “You’re in somebody else’s way.”


    Aldor saw Ste, and he felt like he was liberated. Then, he quickly grabbed two bottles of water and


    said, “Mrs. Kane, Ms. Thompson, are you thirsty?”


    Ste took one bottle from him and said to Felicity with a smile, “Go inside. I’ll wait for you here.”


    Felicity took two steps forward before she turned back and grabbed the other bottle from Aldor’s hand.


    Then, she said to him with a smile, “Thank you.”


    Ste twisted the cap open and, out of courtesy, asked Keegan, “Do you want it?”

    “Yeah,” Keegan said.


    Ste paused. She had no choice but to hand him that bottle of water, and she got herself a new bottle.


    Keegan tilted his head and looked at her.


    Ste had been spending most of her time outside the house, and Keegan barely saw her at all. She


    would still be sleeping when Keegan woke up, and she would be working at the set when he went to


    sleep. However, when he was less busy and waited for her toe home at night, she would go right


    to sleep after taking a shower.


    She just would not talk to him at all.


    Keegan hated the way things became.


    So, he braced himself and said, “Are you…”


    Felicity came out of the clinic before he could finish his sentence.


    Ste immediately went to her, so Keegan swallowed back the words he was about to say.


    “Hey, what did Dr. Steven say?” The happy look on Felicity’s face disappeared, so Ste was a little


    confused. The doctor said she would be just fine after the ultrasonic inspection. Yet, she looked very


    down aftering out from the outpatient department.
