going toe up with all sorts of excuses to show up in front of me every day?”

“Why else would you stop me halfway?”

He went silent for a while before he finally said, “It’s bad for your eyes to be read when
the car’s moving.”
Victoria could feel herself feeling annoyed yet again.
“Are you toying with me? Weren’t you the one who asked me to check the agreement
just now?”
ric looked at her seriously. “It didn’t ur to me just now. You can check the
agreement when you get home.”
