    Chapter 1590

Leah ducked to the side, hoping to escape from Hogan''s grasp.

He leaned in without holding back, and there was a deep burning look in his eyes. He drew in closer

to her, intent on kissing her on the lips.

Suddenly, a strong arm yanked Hogan''s wrist away. The owner of the arm said with his deep voice,

"Forcing yourself on a girl who doesn''t like you, is this what you like?"

Hogan was stunned and looked up at the person who stopped him.

Leah''s eyes followed suit andnded on Ernest.

He stared Hogan down. Ernest was about 4 inches taller than Hogan, and his strikingly handsome

face, he looked even more powerful.

As he grabbed Hogan, he wasted no time rescuing Leah and pulling her to his side. No words

needed to be said. The aura he emanated was more intimidating rather than scary.

Hogan couldn''t help but frown. "Who are you?"

"Do I need to tell you who I am?" Ernest responded without a sliver of courtesy.

Hogan was stunned. He looked at the handsome face of Ernest and then turned to Leah in surprise.

    "Who is he?"

Leah nced at Ernest. His chin was tight and angled with sharp lines.

He seemed enraged, it caught Leah by surprise. Her gaze traced down his arms and saw hands

gripping Hogan''s wrist, unconsciously squeezed hard. The blue veins on the back of his hands

    throbbed along his jutting knuckles.

She blinked then turned to Hogan. She answered coldly, "He just gave you an answer, there''s no

need for me to tell you who he is. You understand, Hogan?"

Hogan was dumbfounded. He couldn''t fathom that there was such a stunning man in front of him. It

was hard to ignore his natural brilliance.

Hogan looked at Ernest and exerted a bit of strength, trying to break free from his hold.

However, Ernest''s strength overpowered him, and he struggled breaking free.

Leah was protected by Ernest''s tall stature. His domineering aura made it hard to look straight at

    him.

Leah was once again astonished by Ernest. A man should know when and when not to appear, else

he''d be the cause of more trouble. His sense of

    propriety was unrivalled.

If Ernest hadn''t interrupted, she might have been kissed by Hogan.

Luckily, he made his entrance at the most crucial moment.

He ceased all selfishness for the sake ofing to her aid. There was no doubt that he was a

    responsible and honorable guy.

She was fortunate that Ernest appeared when he did and saved her from her first kiss, or else she

would have died of a sickness.

All of this led to the present, where Leah made a decision to keep her mouth silenced in favor of

    shutting down Hogan.

"Let me go," Hogan gnarled. "Who are you? Don''t meddle into other people''s business. I said let me

    go, did you hear me?"

Ernest red at Hogan unflinchingly. When he saw Hogan''s twisted face, a hint of contempt shed

across his eyes. "He''s a man who can''t even bear a little pain. What right does he have to like

    Leah?" he thought to himself.

Hogan was stupefied, and his face was stered in awkwardness.

"I''m barely using a quarter of strength." Ernest said in disdain, "Does it hurt? Are you usually like

    this?"

Leah couldn''t suppress a hystericalugh, feeling like Hogan was overreacting a bit much.

Hogan became hostile as he saw them mocking him. He cried out, "Do I have to spell out let me go''

    for you to understand me?"

Ernest let go of Hogan''s hand. His gaze fell on Hogan''s face spoke viciously, "Did not you hear

    Leah rejecting you?"

"She rejected me, but those aren''t her true feelings. And who are you, exactly? What authority do

you have when youe in here without even identifying yourself?" Hogan''s mouth was steel as he

spoke. He gritted his teeth, not wanting to sumb to defeat.

"You seem to have been mistaken. At least I''m the one who''s weed by Leah, it doesn''t seem

that way for you. So, who really has the right to stay here?" Ernest''s spoke indifferently.

His words were frank and unsparing. It struck Hogan''s heart fatally, leaving him speechless.

Despite it all, how was Hogan ever willing to back down?

He didn''t want to leave like this, so he faced Leah. "Leah, tell me, who is he? Is he your boyfriend?"

Leah''s heart skipped a beat and she instinctively nced at Ernest.

Ernest looked at Leah as well, and she couldn''t look him straight in the eyes.

How was she supposed to answer Hogan''s question?

Should she tell him that Ernest is her boyfriend? Obviously not, but if she didn''t, Hogan would just

bother her even more. What could she do?

As she was swimming in a dilemma, Ernest spoke sternly, "Stop bothering Leah. She will never like

you, especially if you''re forcing her. If you really like her, you would respect her decision, and you

wouldn''t be acting this recklessly. Furthermore, what right do you have to interrogate her?"

Hogan was stunned by his obstruction, and he yelled in response, "This is between me and Leah. I

told you to shut up. I don''t care who you are, I just want Leah to give me an answer."

Hogan was in his own league of stubbornness.

Leah looked at Hogan standoffish, feeling the disappointment rising the more she took him in.

Not only that, she felt extremely disheartened. Leah lowered her head to conceal the unhappiness

in her eyes. "It doesn''t matter who he is, it has nothing to do with you. And he''s right, you''re not

qualified to question him, nor are you qualified to question me. He''s wee to be at my ce, but

I can''t say the same goes for you."

Hogan went rigid, and there was an unspeakable shock in his expression.

Leah smiled and said, "You can leave now, Hogan. We''ll just be nodding acquaintances in the

    future."

Deep down, Leah wanted to cut off all contact with Hogan.

Hogan couldn''t ept it. He looked at Leah and his sadness on his face tightened. He asked loudly,

    "Did he stay herest night?"

    Leah''s eyes widened in shock.

    Ernest knitted his brows.

"Looks like I was right. I thought I heard the voice of a maning from the inner corridor when I

dropped byst night. I thought I misheard it, I didn''t think you''d be such a leach."

"Shut up." Ernest growled, no longer being polite. He looked at Hogan and said brutally, "You

disrespect Leah''s reputation, ndered her, and rudely used her. What right do you have to talk

    about liking her?"

"You dared to answer. Haha, it seems like this is the case. Don''t talk all high and mighty. What''s

done is done and bes unspeakable. What kind of reasoning is that?" Hogan became even

more frenzied and turned Leah. "Tell me Leah, isn''t that right?"

"That''s right. He was herest night, and the night before. Not only that, he even slept in the same

bed as me. So what about it?" Leah shouted back at Hogan.
