Leah looked at Hogan with shock, a startled sh lit up in her eyes. He knew?

He knew that she used to have feelings for him, but he pretended not to notice.

Wasn''t he always cold to her?

She had once developed feelings for him, but her emotions gradually dwindled as time passed.

With her recent experiences, she could make out the disappointment she was feeling in her heart.

And now he''s saying that he knew?

Hogan looked into Leah''s cynical eyes. "I know you had feelings for me over the years, but we were

so young. I knew that you liked me, and I felt the same way."

"I used to think that I was too young to say anything, but now that we''ve been in college for over two

years, I think we can take the next step. So today, I''m here to confess. Leah, I like you. Be my

    girlfriend."

"Hahaha..." Leahughed nervously at the revtion, feeling sour and glum.

He knew she had a crush on him, and yet he continued to pretend that he didn''t know he was close

with Rowane. Now he had said it upfront, Leah could affirm that Hogan was definitely not her type.

He clearly knew of it and pretended to be oblivious. He saw how she had liked him and knew that

she didn''t want to involve Rowane in any matter, but Hogan ultimately went to Rowane for

    everything.

    She could onlyugh.

Inparison, Ernest''s image was ced higher on the bar. Only a guy like Ernest, who was

introverted and tough, was a man who really understood love.

Hogan was no longer a good person in her heart.

Afterughing, Leah''s gaze turned much sharper. She looked coldly at Hogan as if he was a

stranger and red at him. "I don''t like you like that, Hogan. Sorry, I can''t be your girlfriend."

    It was a clear rejection.

Hogan''s face froze. He looked at Leah in shock. "Impossible. Leah, you obviously like me a lot."

"Who told you that?" Leah responded curtly.

She looked in the direction of her bedroom, feeling like Ernest could hear her.

Embarrassment rose inside of her. The person she liked was in her bedroom, listening to the

confession of the person she once had a crush on, and all of it from a capsule of her younger

    ignorant days.

She knew no one would befortable listening to something like this.

She also knew that this was something she had to face head on and address clearly.

Otherwise, the situation would be buried as a secret, never to be brought up again.

She didn''t want to be someone who bottled up their past feelings, especially in front of the person

    she liked.

Hogan furrows his eyebrows and said, "I can see it clearly. Do I need someone else to say it straight

to my face? Leah, I reciprocate the feelings you have for me. I''ve been waiting for us to grow up."

"I don''t have such feelings for you." Leah didn''t like to hear such words. "Please don''t say that as if

we really have something between us."

"No feelings? That''s impossible," Hogan retorted in a deep voice. "Leah, there''s no point in

    deceiving yourself."

"Hogan, you really are a funny man. Alright, we''re talking about this today." Leah turned serious.

She looked at Hogan and spoke with a deeper timbre, "If we don''t clear this up properly you''ll

probably get the wrong idea. I won''t deny it, I used to have a crush on you."

Hogan replied without a second''s dy, "See, I knew you had a crush on me. You like me."

"It''s now a far cry from a crush," Leah interrupted haughtily in a cold voice, "I already lost all my

feelings for you when you chose and care for Rowane over and over again. Haven''t you noticed that

I''ve never taken the initiative to contact you these past two years?"

Hogan''s body stiffened. He raised his eyes and looked at Leah in disbelief.

He recalled the events of the past two years in university carefully, and realized she never once

contacted him first. It was always Hogan making the first move every time. However, Leah was fine

whenever they exchanged words, at least she was civil whenmunicating with him.

    Their rtionship wasn''t that disastrous.

There was no doubt that Leah hated Rowane with a passion, but he also wanted to help reconcile

their rtionship and sisterhood. That was all.

He thought Leah understood him well.

Why hadn''t she taken the initiative to contact him for the past two years?

"Leah, you never took the initiative to contact me first, but I know you''re angry with me. You''re mad

at me for forcing you to make up with Rowane, aren''t you?"

Turns out he understood all along.

    Leah chuckled again.

To Leah, Hogan was repulsive in her eyes.

He knew everything, but faked being oblivious. It hurt her gravely.

"Stopughing, Leah. My heart stings when you do that." Hogan reached out his hand to take

    Leah''s.

Leah brushed his arms away, stood up and took cover to the side.

Hogan stood up in suit when he missed. He whispered softly again her, "Leah."

Leah took a deep breath. Knowing that she had to face this, she turned back around to face Hogan.

In a low voice, she said, "Hogan, I think you really misunderstood the situation. You think too highly

    of yourself."

Hogan was stunned, and his face morphed into shock.

"I had feelings for you that were positive, but that was when I was a child. Later on in life, I lost

those feelings, and even started hating you. I thought you wouldn''t understand why, but looking at it

now, you knew everything right from the beginning."

"Yes, it was because of Rowane. I despised her so much I wanted to strangle her. Why? You

probably wouldn''t understand. She was never as innocent or amicable as she appeared.

Underneath that fapade lies a malicious and deceitful person."

"But what did you do? You always wanted me to give in to Rowane regardless of how I felt. Why did

you ask me to do that? Who do you think you are? Even my father never dared asked for something

like that from me, but you? Do you really think I have feelings for you? Why should I like you?"

"But I thought Rowane was your younger sister." Hogan looked at her, startled.

"My younger sister?" Leahughed bitterly. "My sister who''s thirty days younger than me, and yet I

have to give in to her? Her existence is direct evidence of my father''s degenerated behavior. Do you

really expect me to tolerate her? You''ve meddled into our family affairs, you really think of yourself

    as one of us!"

Hogan frowned. "That''s all in your father''s past!"

"Hogan Wells!" Leah admonished, her voice vicious with fury.

Hogan jolted. He looked at Leah in a daze.

He had never witnessed Leah shouting his name in such a hoarse voice, let alone his full name.

Her voice resonated in the room with rage.

He pursed his lips and looked at Leah to say, "Leah, calm down and speak slowly."

Leahposed herself lightly. "My father''s cheating history seems to be very important to you. You

said you like me? You don''t have any empathy for me, do you? What do you even like about me? It

seems that you like the feeling of Rowane and I talking to you, is that the kind of emotion you''re

    seeking?"

"I used to think that I might like you. But ever since that year I was preparing for university, I

detested you. I detested you so much. I kept you around when we met and smiled at each other

that day because we grew up together and we never looked down on each other. I felt awkward, so

I just smiled. But you actually thought that I liked you. How are you not ashamed?"

"When you were preparing for university?" Hogan was stunned.

"Yeah, you told Rowane and I to pursue a specialized course. Who do you think you are? The

course I choose is none of your business."

"Leah, I only wished for the three of us to study in the same school." Hogan tried to exin his side

    of the story.

Leah said in a low voice, "Then you really are funny. Why should I study in the same school with

    you?"

Hogan was shocked and gave Leah a nk stare, "Well, I didn''t think it through. But I''m willing to

consider you now, so can you be my girlfriend?"

"No, I don''t like you. How can I be your girlfriend?" Leah t out rejected him. "I just rejected you,

    did you hear me?"

"Leah, I know you''re angry. I won''t force you to do anything in the future." In Hogan''s line of thought,

he believed that Leah was angry at him because of matters with Rowane, and she was purposely

avoiding admitting her feelings. "You don''t have to y hard to get."

"Hah!" Leah sucked in a breath of air. She was truly annoyed. "Can you stop being so arrogant?

Why are you still so self-confident? I already said I don''t like you that way, yet you''re saying I''m

ying hard to get. Hogan, your attitude is incredibly abhorrent, you know that?"

"I can''t believe you''re saying you don''t like me." Hogan also seriously said, "I know you''re mad, I

understand that. You can go ahead and scold me to vent your anger."

"I don''t need to vent my anger. I don''t even want to be friends with you anymore. It''s exhausting, do

you understand?" Leah felt like she was being too cruel with her words, but Hogan on the other

hand, thought she was still ying hard to get.

She felt dejected when she realized she couldn''tmunicate with him, her efforts to trample on

his counter arguments were in vain.

Hogan asked in response, "What should I do to make you willing to be my girlfriend?"

"There''s nothing you can do, I''m not willing to be your anything." Leah shook her head.

Hogan frowned and reached out to take Leah''s hand and enveloped it with his own. "Leah, stop

overreacting. Do you need me to kiss you for you to say yes?"

"Hogan, you would dare do something like that?" Leah screamed to the point where she almost lost

    her voice.

She would not let her first kiss be given to the likes of him.

Hogan smiled gently and pulled Leah into his arms with force. He held Leah in his arms and said

word by word, "Do you think I don''t dare? Let''s see how you''d react if I kissed you. Little Leah, you

were always stubborn when it came to me. I know you like me, so don''t toy with me anymore,

okay?" "Let go of me!" Leah shouted harshly. "If you keep acting like this, I won''t y nice

    anymore."

"Alright then, don''t. I want to get a taste of how that would feel. Come on." With that, he moved in on

    Leah.
