Chapter 1571

    Chapter 1571

The living room of the house became quiet after the children had left.

By then, all the children were gone, leaving only Grace and Heinz.

Then, Grace looked over at Heinz and said, "Why aren''t you going upstairs? It''s already prettyte."

Heinz looked at his wife in surprise and then looked at his watch. "Is it thatte?"

Grace paused for a moment andughed. "It''s not even seven o'' clock. Yeah, it''s notte. I might be

getting on in my years, because I feel lonely after all our kids have left."

Heinz frowned at what his wife said, "What do you mean you''re getting on in years? That''s not true

    at all."

To Heinz, Grace had always been the most beautiful woman to him. She didn''t look old at all, and

she remained the evergreen beauty she was when he first met her.

"I''m only pretty to you. Sylvia told me I had white hair yesterday," Grace chuckled.

Heinz was stunned. "How''s that possible? I heard white hairs are due to ack of a certain type of

hormone in your body. Have you been having problems with that?"

Grace was a little shocked. "What, you''re a doctor now?"

Heinz nodded. "Well, I know a little about these things. You keep rejecting my advances recently,

and we''ve had less sex recently. Are your estrogen levels low? Guess it seems like I have to work

harder to slow down your aging,"

Grace rolled her eyes and gave him a sideways nce. "Cut that out. I''ll be going upstairs, and you

    shoulde with me."

"The children are all busy with their own things, and we would be doing our things separately once

we go upstairs. I want to do it, but you don''t want to, so why should I go upstairs? I''d be happy to

come with you if you promised me a good time."

Grace blushed a healthy red as soon as she heard what Heinz said. "Heinz Jones, you''re an

    animal."

"What? I didn''t say anything." Heinz smiled faintly and his tone was innocent.

Grace couldn''t help but roll her eyes when her husband pretended to be dumb.

In fact, Grace knew that she had found a treasure. Her cousin Hermione said that it was a miracle

that a man was still so energetic when he was nearly 40 years old.

If they could still do it every night after the man was past 40, then Grace should thank her lucky

    stars.

It was a miracle if one or two men out of a hundred could be like this.

Although this was what she thought, Grace did not say it out loud.

They had been married for so long, so they understood one another well. She felt that Heinz

insisted on staying downstairs because he wanted to speak to Ernest.

"I''ll go upstairs first. If you want to speak to Ernest, then wait for a bit." After saying that, Grace went

    upstairs.

Heinz had a reason for staying. He wanted to stay here and tell Ernest a few things.

He didn''t get the opportunity to tell Gary before he got together with Celeste. Heinz wondered if they

were a good match for one another.

Hence, that was why he wanted to remind Ernest of a few things. Consider it being well prepared

    before the storm.

He was afraid that he would regret it if he didn''t say anything. If so, he would have been an

    irresponsible father.

Meanwhile, Ernest took a shower and changed into a new set of clothes before he headed out.

He didn''t expect to see his father sitting on the sofa staring at him when he went downstairs.

After saying goodbye, he was ready to leave.

Heinz stopped him. "Don''t be in such a hurry. Come here, I have something to say."

Ernest was very surprised before he came over and asked, "What is it, Dad?"

"I want to tell you something. Take it as advice from someone who''s gone through the same thing

    as you did," Heinz said.

Ernest was stunned and seemed to understand what his father meant. "Alright, let''s hear it."

Ernest sat down on the sofa and looked at his father seriously.

Heinz then said, "Since you''re spending the night with a youngdy outside, you have to be careful.

    Take precautions."

"Dad, what are you thinking? I''m not spending the night with her. I''m taking care of her, she''s sick."

Ernest blushed furiously as he spoke.

"As long as you understand what I mean. Anything can happen when the two of you are alone at

night, and that will catapult your rtionship to the next level."

Ernest was speechless. Heinz was reading way too much into this. "It''s not that serious, Dad."

Although he did have feelings for Leah, he wouldn''t act recklessly before he was sure.

Heinz was calm as he gazed at his son. "I know that she must be special to you for you to care for

her. If you don''t like her, you wouldn''t do so much for her. But I know that sometimes your desires

will get the best of you despite your best efforts."

Ernest felt very helpless. "You''re saying that you don''t have any self-control, right?"

"How could you say that? I''ve already put my pride away to tell you this, and yet you kick me when

I''m down? How could you?" Heinz felt absolutely mortified.

"Okay, I get what you mean. I''ll be careful, okay?" Ernest decided to let his father have his way.

Heinz had actually tried to y coy with him.

"Nope, I still got some things to say," Heinz replied. "Ernest, you''re barely 21 years old, so you don''t

have to be in such a rush to find a girlfriend. Even if you want to date someone, you can give it a

shot, but don''t be so sure to acknowledge your rtionship so quickly. Furthermore, you can''t sleep

with her before you''re sure. No one can turn back time."

Ernest nodded and said very seriously, "Dad, don''t

worry. I won''t repeat your mistakes, and I''ll make sure to control myself."

Heinz opened his mouth and said, "It''s fun to tease your father, huh?"

"I''m just saying. I saw what happened between you and mom as well as with Jodie. I saw what

happened between my grandparents, and none of them had good endings. Marriage isn''t child''s

y, and I have to be careful when I pick a wife. So I''m not in a hurry at all."

Heinz raised his eyebrow at his son''s words. He felt both relieved and annoyed as Ernest had used

    his own experiences against him.

"However, I''ve seen your rtionship with mom over the years. I hope that I can stay with the girl I

love in the future for the rest of my life. If I''m not 100% sure, I won''t do anything. Don''t worry,"

    Ernest replied.

"Good. I''m relieved to hearthat. Go on then." Heinz noticed that Ernest was a lot more rational than

    Gary and himself.

Ernest had always been a very calm person, but he was very opinionated as well.

He heaved a sigh of relief before he went upstairs.

Grace saw Heinz and asked, "Have you finished speaking to Ernest?"

    "Mhmm." Heinz nodded.

"Did he tease you?" Grace asked.

Heinz frowned. "How did you know?"

She smiled and asked mysteriously, "What do you think?"

"Did Sylvia tell you?" Heinz asked.

    Grace nodded.

Heinz was astonished. "When did she overhear? I had no idea she heard what I said to Ernest."

"Sylvia has a way of getting whatever information she wants. I think she''s going to be a paparazzi in

    the future."

"Do you want her to follow in your footsteps?" Heinz frowned.

"What? Do you think I''m a paparazzi?" asked Grace.

"Nope, you''re a literary journalist. You''re far above the likes of the paparazzi." Heinz quickly hugged

his wife in order not to anger her.

"Hmph, the first time we met, you treated me like one. Tonight, I''m the queen, so you''d better beg

    me for mercy," Grace replied.

Heinz was shocked and his eyes widened in disbelief at his wife. "You, you''re really... we''re going to

    do it?"

She snorted and blushed slightly. "Shut up, or I''ll go back on my word."

"I''m going to close the door now." Heinz quickly mmed the door shut and locked it to prevent

them from being interrupted. Then, he walked over and hugged Grace. "Yes dear, you''re the queen

tonight. Do whatever you please to me, I promise I will serve you faithfully."

"I said shut up." Grace reached out and ced her hand over his mouth.

Heinz kissed her palm and turned the lights off. The room was immersed in pitch ck darkness.

He knew that Grace was shy, so he took extra care with her in order to satisfy her.

In the end, Grace got what she wanted. She was the queen, and Heinz her faithful knight.

They fit well like two pieces of a puzzle, and they had a great time.

Outside, Sylvia was trying her best to stifle her giggling. Then, she turned around to go back to her

room when she ran into her brother.

"Sebastian!" Sylvia called out in surprise.

Sebastian raised his eyebrows, and he looked very mature for his age. "You''re eavesdropping

again, Sylvia." "No, I wasn''t. I was just wondering if mom and dad were asleep. What are you doing

here? Are you trying to keep tabs on me?" Sylvia shook her head in denial.

"I''m not as idle as you are," said Sebastian with ease.

"Don''t say that, Sebastian," Sylvia replied coquettishly before her eyes gleamed with delight. "Let''s

go check out what Gary and Celeste are doing, hm?"

Sebastian frowned when he heard this, and he looked eerily like Heinz when he did so. "Are you

crazy? Gary isn''t like mom and dad. If you do that, he''ll kill you."

"Kill me? Now that he''s home, he should count himself lucky that I didn''t y any tricks on him."
