Chapter 1433
The next day after they arrived at Oxford, the butler, Pedro, called and told Gary, "Young Master
Gary, Miss Janice is back."
Being woken up by the phone call early in the morning, Gary was in a very bad mood. "Get her to
pack up and fly back to Boston."
"But is this appropriate?" Pedro felt rather bad. "After all, she''s a girl. It''s not right to drive her away."
Gary snorted softly, finding Pedro interesting. "Seems like you haven''t understood something."

you?"
"What?" Pedro was taken aback once again. "Madam didn''t say that. She only said Miss Simpson
wasn''t your girlfriend."

"I do. I''ll ask Miss Simpson to leave right now,"
Pedro hurriedly said.
Gary figured Janice might not leave so easily, so he said, "If she doesn''t want to leave, ask the
driver to send her to a hotel."
"Got it."
Pedro understood that he shouldn''t have assumed things so easily after Gary issued his
instructions.
"I''ll make the arrangements."
Gary saw that Celeste was staring at him after he hung up the phone. He immediately smiled in
greeting."Are you awake?"
Celeste nodded; a bright smile appeared on the corner of her cherry-red lips. "I was woken up by
your phone call. It''s time to get up anyway."
Seeing that she was in good spirits, Gary smiled as well. "Good. Looks like you''re in a good mood."
"You too." Listening to the conversation on the phone, Celeste knew Gary had taken her feelings
into ount, and he made Janice leave. She was indeed very d about that.
In addition, it was good news that Janice had returned safely to London.

Upon receiving Gary''s instructions, Pedro immediately shifted his attitude and said to
Janice, "Miss Simpson, why don''t I help you pack your things."
"Pack up my things?" Janice asked in surprise. "Mr. Butler, I haven''t decided to leave yet."
"Oh, really?" He smiled and said, "Then, you can stay in a hotel first. There are many hotels in
London, and Mr. Smith isn''t at home. He didn''t say to wee you either, so we can''t make any
arrangements without further instructions."

"Miss Simpson, he asked you to stay in a hotel." Seeing Janice didn''t want to leave, in addition to

After leaving the vi, Janice went to the airport to catch a flight back to the United States.
When she was about to board the ne, she sent a message to Gary. "I''ll be boarding the ne to
Boston in five minutes. Thank you for your help. I''ll return the money to you after you''re back. Thank
you for taking care of me, and please say hi to your girlfriend for me."
Gary checked his watch after he received the text. It was already in the afternoon.
Then, he replied with an okay.
After that, he spent a few moments in deep thought.
When Celeste walked over to him, she noticed he was in a daze. She couldn''t help but ask, "What
are you thinking about? Do you have something on your mind?"
Gary immediately returned to his senses and shook his head. "Nope."
"Really?" Celeste shrugged. He looked to be bothered by something.
"Oh, Janice sent me a message saying she''s gone back to Boston." Gary showed it to her.
Celeste took a look at it and saw the perfunctory reply he sent back.
Then, she nodded in satisfaction.
She should have been happy that Janice left. However, for some reason, she had an indescribable
feeling.
Janice''s words echoed in her mind, and Celeste felt rather upset. No matter how, she didn''t seem
like a person who would give up so easily.
As soon as she lowered her gaze, Gary snaked his arm around her waist. In a gentle and doting
voice, he asked, "What''s wrong? Are you unhappy?"
"No." Celeste shook her head.
"Hey, cheer up. You should be happy that demon has left." Gary smiled and gently hugged her.
Celeste nodded and lowered her gaze, not allowing Gary to notice the sh of sorrow and worry in
her eyes.
She was still distressed, but she was confident there would be a solution to this.
With that in mind, Celeste calmed down soon after.
Meanwhile, back home.
Maria managed to sign the contract and bought the rights with Leah and Ernest''s help.
Moreover, She had be friends with Leah.
Ernest also arranged for her family to be hospitalized.
Maria''s family had returned home as well, but she hadn''t had a chance to catch up with them as
she''d been too busy researching.
Zachary realized that his daughter seemed to be very busy, and he wanted to ask her about it a few
times. However, he decided to just observe her in the end.
Finally, after five days of observation, he found the right time to go into Maria''s room and ask her.
"Maria, what have you been up totely?"
"Dad." Maria was sorting out documents when she heard her father''s voice. She raised her head
and looked at Zachary.

like fine wine, and Maria had to admit that her mother''s taste in men was superb.
"What are you reading about?" Zachary came over and nced at theputer. He was surprised
to find that she was looking at information about public rtions courses. "Are you looking to study
public rtions?"
"Yes." Maria immediately smiled and felt a little embarrassed. "I''m seriously considering it; I''m not
messing around."
"I know." Zachary burst intoughter. "I didn''t say you were, but I''m surprised that you''re so serious
about it. Don''t you want to take a break?"
"I did." She smiled and said, "I do leave the house. Public rtions is just a recent development."
"Can you tell me why you want to study this?"
"It''s useful." Maria looked at her father, and she could tell that he was worried from his gaze.
She was astonished and quicklyforted her father. "Dad, are you worried about me? It''s okay; I
know what I''m doing."
"What are you going to do after you graduate?" Zachary sat down opposite his daughter and
chatted about her current situation.
"Will you be mad if I tell you?" Maria looked at her father tentatively.
Hearing this, Zachary instantly frowned.
"Dad, don''t jump to conclusions." Maria said with a smile, "It''s not like I won''t get a proper job. I
know what I''m doing. It''s just that it may not be what you want me to do."
Although Zachary still had a frown on his face, he calmed down a little. He looked at his daughter
kindly and said, "Let''s see what it is first."
"It''s like this. After I graduate, I want to be a manager and enter the entertainment business," Maria
said.
