Chapter 1432
Being struck by her sudden retort apanied by Flynt''s warning, Gary''s anger red.
He could no longer take it. Before he was about to explode, he pulled the car to the side of the road
and suddenly stopped before he turned to look at Celeste.
Celeste was confused by his actions. She couldn''t help but ask, "Why did you stop all of a sudden?"
At this moment, his handsome face was filled with harsh emotion. His unblinking gaze was sharp as
he swept it over her.
"Why are you looking at me like that? Why did you stop?" Celeste leveled a puzzled gaze at him.
Gary fixed his gaze at her the entire time, stern. He looked like a husband who had caught his wife
having an affair.
Celeste didn''t know what she had done to provoke Gary, but his behavior made her irritable.
"What? Did I say something to upset you?" Celeste looked at him, still puzzled. "Or do you think
you''ve suffered a grievance?" "There''s nothing between Janice and me," Gary said seriously.
"I know." Celeste nodded. "There''s nothing between Flynt and me too. What I''m trying to say is you
know how I feel now, do you?"
"Celeste, are you trying to get back at me and p*ss me off on purpose?" Gary asked in a serious
tone. "How would you know what Flynt is thinking?"
Celeste frowned slightly. Flynt''s appearance was a coincidence. She really didn''t know he was
there, nor had she ever taken the initiative to contact him.
However, he must have said something to Gary just now to make him so mad.
Were they just going to argue in the car?
"I''m not." Celeste shook her head and said in a serious tone, "I don''t have the time to annoy you on
purpose. Flynt must have said something to make you so angry. What did you guys talk about?"
Gary''s sharp gaze fell on her face for a few seconds, and Celeste felt rather inexplicable.
Feeling uneasy, she said, "It''s not only because of Flynt, isn''t it? You''re angry because Janice didn''t
come with us."
"What does this have to do with Janice?" "Then tell me, why are you suddenly so mad?"
Celeste retorted; she couldn''t help but raise her voice.
"You think I''m mad?" He frowned, asking seriously.
His tone was so cold that it could kill.
"Your anger is killing me. I need some fresh air. You should take the time to cool off. I don''t want to
argue."
She was about to get off the car, but before she could put her hand on the handle, Gary grabbed
her wrist to stop her from getting off.
Before she could react, he pulled her over. He leaned in and scolded, "Do you know I''m pissed?"
"Even a blind man can tell," She said bluntly.
"Then why won''t youfort me?" Gary said matter-of-factly.
"Comfort you?" Celeste was really confused by his words and angrily asked, "Mister, what are you?
Three?"
"You don''t love me at all." His tone remained steadfastly childish.
The usation waspletely unreasonable.
Thus, Celeste was speechless.
"Gary, why are you acting like this?" Celeste was exasperated. "Don''t you think you''re being
childish? You''re asking me tofort you?"
They were in the car on the side of the road, yet he was treating her like this.
"Can''t you? Is your good side only for Flynt?"
Celeste was rendered even more speechless by his childish attitude. She pushed him away and
said, "Gary, you''re missing something here, aren''t you?"
Gary''s eyes turned cold as he looked at her. He frowned slightly and asked, "What?"
"Janice likes you," Celeste said harshly. "I don''t know if you are ying dumb or you really haven''t
figured it out. With your intelligence, you should be able to see it. She likes you to the point of using
any means to get you. She even told me she would never stop loving you. She won''t give up just
because we''ve publicized our rtionship."
Gary was shocked.
"Judging from your expression, Flynt must have figured it out as well." Celeste sighed andughed
self-deprecatingly. "Everyone can see how much Janice likes you. What Flynt said to you just now
must have something to do with her."
"Flynt likes you too." Gary was shocked by Celeste''s words. A hint of shame and annoyance
shed across his eyes, and he even told Celeste Flynt liked her.
After a moment of dumbstruck, Celesteughed.
"You''re making a fuss because Flynt likes me?"
Gary didn''t say another word.
Hence, Celeste also fell silent.
After some time, Celeste said, "Are you going to leave or not? Are we just going to stay here and
argue?"
Gary froze for a moment before finally starting the engine.
However, on the way back, the atmosphere between them became strange after Flynt spoke to
Gary.
Finally, Celeste took the initiative to speak to him when they took a break from driving. "Let''s talk."
"What is it?"
"Be reasonable." She looked at Gary seriously. "I don''t want our rtionship to be as strained
as before."
Gary understood what she meant.
They almost broke up that time, and their current awkwardness naturally made things hard.
However, Gary did not reply. Celeste''s heart thumped, and she felt a little annoyed. She pursed her
lips and said seriously, "I hope we''ll be fine. I don''t want unnecessary misunderstandings to pull us
apart."
Still, Gary remained silent.
Celeste''s gaze shifted downwards.
The overly quiet atmosphere made her feel a little ufortable. Celeste looked up and saw
Gary''s cold expression. His brows furrowed tightly, and Celeste''s shoulders slumped helplessly.
Gary was mad again.
His expression was tense, and his lips were tightly pursed. He was obviously livid.
"In the future, I will keep my distance from Flynt, and of course, I will have no other contact with
him." Celeste said, "I''m in Oxford, and he''s in Edinburgh. In fact, I haven''t seen him for two years
before today. If you have any doubts, I''ll do whatever you want to make you happy."
Gary was taken aback upon hearing Celeste''s words.
It seemed that he didn''t expect her to be so decisive.
He nodded and said, "That''s more like it. As for Janice, I''ll ignore her. Don''t worry."
"So, can we stop the silent treatment now?"
"It would''ve all been fine if youforted me earlier." He grumbled.
Seeing his anger and jealousy, Celeste couldn''t help but smile. She really had no idea what he was
thinking. This man was rather irritating at times.
"Aren''t men supposed to spoil women?" Celeste mumbled, "I looked for a boyfriend to spoil me, not
for me to spoil him. How old do you think you are?"
"We''ll spoil each other." He pulled her over and held her in his arms. His captivating voice rang in
her ear. "I''m incredibly pissed."
"What are you angry about?"
"Flynt likes you."
"Janice even dered she wouldn''t give up on you that day." Celeste said, "She even said the
waterfront pavilion gets the moonlight first. She''ll continue to pester you after you go back to
Boston."
"What?" Gary frowned and lowered his head to look at Celeste. "She meant it?"

"It''s up to you whether to believe it or not." Celeste sighed, "You didn''t believe me when I told you
that day. You still don''t believe me when I''m telling you now. What can I do to make you believe?"
"I believe you." He held her hand. "She can f*ck off. She''ll never have the chance toe close to
me again."
"At the end of the day, both of you are in Boston." Celeste was still a little worried. She let out a long
sigh before saying softly, "Gary, I really feel lucky to have you, but losing you would be my fate."
"I am yours forever," He said with firmness in his tone.
She looked at his earnest expression andughed.
"You sure are easy to coax." He pinched Celeste''s cheeks yfully.
"Of course." Celeste stuck out her tongue in reply.
He narrowed his eyes and whispered in her ear, "What should I do now? I''m really turned on."
"Gary Smith!" She blushed and said coyly, "Don''t."
He also smiled, and his eyes were filled with deep affection.
The tense atmosphere suddenly became more rxed.
At that moment, Gary had a faint smile on his face, and it was mirrored on Celeste''s face as well.
It was much morefortable when they didn''t quarrel.
