Hermione looked at Grace and cautioned her, "Grace, if you stay here, you might face an even bigger
problem."
"I''m not afraid." Grace raised her head and looked at Hermione in the eye. Just like that, she had
regained herposure. "Since it has already happened, I''ll just face it."
Hearing her reply, Heinz was even more upset. The frown on his face remained. At this moment, he felt
a sense of helplessness that he had never experienced before.
Just not too long ago, during his divorce, he had wronged Grace.
Clearly the matter wasn''t resolved. In fact, it was just getting more out of hand. He had once again
dragged Grace into a mess.
"I''m fine." Grace seemed to be consoling Heinz. She knew that there was no use in pointing fingers at
the moment. Hence, she decided to console him. "You should go back to Northern City."
Staring into her eyes, Heinz saw a persevering gleam in them. He knew Grace was strong, but this
strength was saddening.
He rxed the frown on his face slightly, yet he still looked very solemn.
Alex was also very worried. He looked at Grace as if he had something to say.
Sensing this, she said, "Alex, take good care of Heinz."
"Yes, Miss Smith." Alex nodded immediately.
After studying her expression for a moment, Heinz turned around and left the restaurant.
Seeing that the President was leaving, Alex quickly bid goodbye to Grace and Hermione, and frantically
chased after him.
When Heinz arrived back at the hotel room, Heinz barked an order to Alex in a low voice. "Send
someone to take good care of Grace. If you see anyone suspicious trying to approach her, please stop
that person immediately."
"Yes, sir!" Alex nodded. "President, are you worried that someone will try to interview Miss Smith after
we leave and embarrass her?"
Heinz''s eyes were filled with unconceble worry. "Just in case."
"I understand." Alex immediately called to arrange for people to guard her, so that she''d be left alone.
At the restaurant.
Hermione was very worried about Grace. "Grace, if you''re not in the mood to work, it''s fine. I can
arrange for someone else to help."
"No," Grace shook her head. "I''ve been through worse. I''m not afraid of this and I won''t let it affect my
ability to work either."
Ever since the incident at Alpine Resort six years ago, Grace had gone through all kinds of problems.
No matter how difficult it was, she knew how to push through.
Hermione nodded and studied her with concern. Her heart ached for Grace as she told herself she had
been right about her. "You shouldn''t have to suffer like this."
"It''s fine." Grace shook her head and smiled. "Let''s eat, Hermione."
Probably because she didn''t want to affect Hermione''s appetite any further, Grace forced herself to
smile and regain herposure. She began wolfing down the food in front of her.
Seeing how strong she was, Hermione also felt a sense of respect for her.
As she ate, Grace continued to scroll her phone to read more news articles.
She realised that they portrayed her as the mistress who destroyed Jodie and Heinz''s marriage.
ording to them, Jodie and Heinz loved each other very much. When Jodie went abroad, they said
that Grace took this opportunity to slip her way in. The media outlets even went as far as to report that
the child they had was already five years old. Apparently, she had shown up shamelessly at Heinz''s
house one day with their child, and they even had a picture of it.

Grace was very annoyed up to this point.
Taking a deep breath, she pushed herself to continue reading the article.

After thinking for a while, Grace sighed in frustration.

The articles casually forgot to mention that Jodie passed away six years ago in Alsburg from some
the tale of how he''d turn the other way and had two children with someone else.
This was some kind of twisted joke.

Crunching on a piece of bacon, Grace continued to scroll down the article.
"Okay, you should stop." Hermione was also reading through the news articles. The more she read, the
angrier she became. "These articles obviously distorted the truth. It''s obvious they dramatized the
whole thing on purpose. My god, did you see that they said there''s more toe? They asked their
readers to wait patiently for the grand finale tomorrow."
"I want to finish reading it," Grace spoke with determination. "I need to know every single word written.
That way, I can use it when I need to."
Hermione expressed her thoughts aloud. "Well, we can''t really me the media for this. They may
have exaggerated it on purpose, and then they''ll publish another version of the story tomorrow. Maybe
that one will have an even bigger twist."
Grace took a sip of her mushroom soup. After reaching the end of the article, she pursed her lips and

against him."
"And that''s the most exciting part," Hermione added. "That''s why this is all such a big deal."
As they discussed this, Grace''s phone started ringing.

Zachary who was calling her.
Grace clicked on the answer button gently and greeted him. "Zachary?"
"Grace, have you read the news? What''s going on?" Zachary''s slightly anxious voice emerged from the
speaker of her phone.
"You did?" Grace was bewildered that her cousin would''ve read it this early in the morning.
"I''m not the only one. Even Aunt Nerissa has read it," Zachary cried. "We''re both very anxious about
you, Grace."
"Zachary, I''m fine," she assured him. "I don''t know exactly what to tell you now, but just know that
things aren''t what they seem."
"I know that. You know what, are you in Northern City? I''lle over immediately."
"I''m in Julesburg," answered Grace. "Zachary, you don''t have to worry about me. I''m on a business trip.
Once I''m done here, I''ll return to Northern City immediately."
Zachary continued in a deep voice, "I''ll go to Julesburg to look for you, then follow you back to Northern
City once you''re done."
With that in mind, she was very touched by his thoughtfulness.
"Zachary!" Grace eximed. "If you really came over here, I''d tell you everything."
"Give me some time," Zachary said before adding. "Don''t contact any reporters and don''t say anything.
Remember, anything you say now is wrong."
Grace was very intuitive and she instantly knew what Zachary meant. She replied, "Zachary, don''t
worry, I''ll listen to your advice! I know what you mean."
Only then did Zachary feel slightly relieved. "Okay, take care."
After making sure she was fine, Zachary hung up.
At least for now, she wasn''t alone. At the very least, some people understood her and were there to
support her.
With that in mind, she was definitely more relieved.
"So your cousin knows?" Hermione asked.
"Yes." Grace nodded.
