Chapter 319

    Chapter 319

After dinner, Grace got up and went to the kitchen to wash the dishes. Alice and Jensen exchanged a

    look.

Alice lowered her voice and hissed, "That b*stard must have bullied my sister."

Jensen was a policeman so he definitely understood. He looked at Alice with his sharp eyes and

reassured, "Don''t worry. Your sister is an adult, not a child. She can take care of herself."

"Whose side are you on?" Alice couldn''t help but get angry at him. She said angrily, "If you''re siding

that b*stard Heinz, you can leave now. Don''te to my house ever again."

Jensen realized that Alice was mad, so heforted her, "Of course, I''m with you. What I meant is,

your sister will feel awkward. Don’t put her in an awkward situation. Otherwise, it will make her feel very

    embarrassed."

Although Alice suspected that Jensen would side with Heinz, she had to admit that he was right.

Seeing that Alice had acknowledged his words, and she had calmed down a fair bit,

Jensen then continued boldly, "I think that Heinz has figured it out himself. He likes Grace, it’s just that

the first time he found out about Little Gary, he didn''t know that the child is his. He was too shocked

    and said harsh things."

"Heh!" Alice sneered at his words. She retorted, "Did he suddenly bepassionate? Are you

saying that he couldn''t stand it? Why didn''t he think of the sin he hasmitted instead? Who would

know of the hardship my sister has been through all these years?"

Jensen understood that Alice was adamant on protecting Grace, and he also knew the misery that

Grace had been in. He nodded, "Alice, Heinz doesn''t know about Little Gary''s existence. If he knows,

he will definitely raise the child."

"Don''t speak for him," Alice warned in an angered voice. "I don''t want you to speak for him."

Jensen opened his mouth but didn''t say anything.

After a long while, he uttered, "I''ll go help with the dishes."

Alice blocked his way and said, "You don''t have to do that. I can help Grace myself.”

Jensen felt very helpless. After Alice entered the kitchen, he couldn''t stay idle so he followed her in. "I''ll

wash the dishes. Both of you can rest."

Grace saw theming into the kitchen. She was still wearing gloves and washing the tes and

    cutlery.

She told them, "Don''te in. The kitchen is already small, it won''t do if you both enter. I''ll do the

dishes, you two can go and rest."

"Sis,e out and let him wash," Alice said as she pointed to Jensen.

Jensen nodded, "Let me do it."

"It''s okay, I''m almost done," Grace pointed to the tes and cutlery in the sink. "I just need to rinse

    them."

Left with no choice, Alice helped to clean up the other things.

Soon, the three of them came out from the kitchen together.

There was no one in the living room. It seemed that Little Gary and Tyler were still in the room.

Grace felt strange. She didn''t know what that child was up to, but she felt sorry for Little Gary because

of Heinz. She felt apologetic and thought that perhaps Tyler could enlighten Little Gary. Therefore, she

    didn''t think much about it.

"Sis, were you bullied by that b*stard today?" Alice couldn''t help but ask.

Grace was stunned by her question and soon she understood that Alice was referring to Heinz. She

looked down and answered, "I’m fine."

Alice frowned and said, "Sis, if he bullies you the next time, call me. I''ll deal with him. This person is too

abominable, he needs to be taught a lesson."

"Forget it," Grace shook her head. "I don''t want to have any contact with him anymore."

"Did you really meet Heinz today?" Jensen asked in surprise upon hearing this.

Grace nodded, "Yes, Officer Charm. I have something to verify with you."

"What is it?" Jensen nodded without hesitation. He would cooperate, whatever it was.

    Alice snorted at his demeanor.

Grace then said, "Alice, I''ll talk to Officer Charm alone outside." "What is it that I can''t listen to?" Alice

was very surprised. She said disapprovingly, "You''re hiding it from me because that b*stard bullied you,

right? Sis, I''ll beat him up for you, you just need to tell me."

"You are no match against him." Grace watched her little sister and murmured helplessly, "And this is

not a problem that you can solve."

Alice suddenly became upset and she dropped her shoulders. She gave in and said to Grace, "Well, I

have nothing more to say. You guys go ahead."

Although Alice was reluctant about it, she didn''t say anything when she saw Grace''s reaction.

After that, the two of them went out together.

When they got downstairs, Jensen asked, "What''s the matter?"

"Officer Charm, is Ernest Heinz''s son?" Grace did not beat around the bush and asked directly.

hearing this, Jensen was in a daze. He snapped back to reality after a long time and asked, "Have you

    found out about Ernest?"

"Yes. I''ve known him for a long time. He''s Little Gary''s ssmate." Grace added, "I didn''t know he''s

    Heinz''s son until today."

Jensen nodded and replied, "Yes, Ernest was raised by Heinz, but he is not Heinz''s biological son. He

was abducted and kidnapped. I handled this case, but I couldn''t find the child''s parents. Heinz

happened to see the child and insisted on raising him the first time he met him."

Grace was shocked to hear this. She asked in disbelief, "He is not Heinz''s biological son?"

"Yes," Jensen nodded in all seriousness. "Ernest is indeed not Heinz''s child. Heinz raised him but did

not tell others about Ernest. As you know, Heinz is from a wealthy family, so he is worried that the child

will be kidnapped for ransom. He has never told the servants about it either. So no one knows the real

identity of Ernest except his trusted subordinates."

Grace smiled sarcastically when she recalled the moment Heinz said that Ernest was not his son. She

said frankly, "I believe in your words. Heinz said the same thing before, but I didn''t really buy it then."

It was because Heinz had never admitted what had happened that night, therefore Grace''s impression

    of him took a dip.

"Now that you said this, I believe it," Grace looked at Jensen and pursed her lips. Her smile was a little

bitter. As she thought about Ernest''s past, she felt very distressed. She muttered, "Ernest is a good

child. I didn''t expect him to have such a past."

    "Agreed," Jensen responded.

Grace then inquired, "Didn''t you look for his parents?"

"We did, but we couldn’t find them," Jensen sighed. "No one came to look for him either."

Grace felt a strange sense of aching in her heart and she sighed.

Jensen then asked, "Grace, you met with Heinz today. Did he request to reconcile with you?" "Yes,"

Grace nodded. "Yes, that''s what he wants. But

I really don''t want to be with him now."

Jensen advised, "Grace, don''t be angry at him all the time."

"I''m not angry," Grace shook her head. "I am just uncertain if I love him."

"You don''t love him?" Jensen blinked at Grace in surprise.

Grace nodded and said, "I think so. Hence, I can''t force myself anymore."

Jensen''s eyes were filled with shock. He looked at Grace in disbelief and probed, "Are you muddled by

    anger?"

"No," Grace shook her head. "You should go upstairs. I''ll make a call to Heinz."

She had made up her mind to make things clear. Since Ernest was not his child, there was no need for

him to do the test. She was just making excuses anyway.

Jensen hesitated for a moment and nodded, "Okay, I''ll go back up."

"Okay." Grace then took out her phone and dialed Heinz''s number.
