Avery had yet to hang up on the phone, so La heard what Elliot said.


    She had not mentioned that she was going to take her passport immediately, but since Elliot was determined to settle the matter, she had no excuse not to go to the mansion.

    "Why not? Is she afraid of me?" Elliot asked calmly before taking his seat on the couch.

    "Things are different this year! You''ve moved in with Eric, and you need to shop for your new household now. You are quite upied with work and taking care of Eric, so I decided not to invite you," Avery exined.


    "It''s not that busy at work..." La said but realized that she had indeed been quite upied. "Fine, so I''m a little busy in the past few days. You should go ahead with Ivy, then! Get the same things for me as well, and I will take them with me to Eric''s house!"


    Eric needed to remain home and rest, or La would have dragged him outside to shop for New Year''s as well. Since Eric was under house arrest, La was not in the mood to go out shopping.

    Getting married was not something to be taken lightly and Elliot felt humiliated that La was trying to force Eric into marrying her.
