Andrea sent another message. [Are you free to talk on the phone right now? I will give you a call!]
Ivy did not want to hear Andrea''s voice and replied. [I''m busy right now.]
[Okay! I don''t know what happened to your script, Ivy, but I am certain that I didn''t touch it.]
[The manager will look into it. Let''s wait for the result!] Ivy replied.
[Okay! Don''t let what happened to get to you. I watched the rey of your show and you were brilliant!]
Had Ivy received such apliment from anyone else, she would have thanked them, but she could not bring herself to thank Andrea and simply ignored the message.
"Ivy, have you talked to your sister?" Avery asked when she saw Ivy walking down the stairs.
"I did. She said that she will being home with Eric this New Year''s."
"Oh, okay!" Avery beamed. "Don''t you need some more rest, Ivy?"
"I can''t go back to sleep, Mom." Ivy walked over. "Let''s go shopping!"
"Okay."
"I will get changed, then." Ivy hurried up the stairs, and Avery could tell that Ivy was in a great mood. Just then, Avery''s phone rang and Avery nced at the screen to find that it was a call from La. She immediately answered the call and La said, "Mom, can I ask for your help on something?" Avery could not help but nce at Elliot, who immediately noticed that something was wrong.
"What is it? Is it something you don''t want others to find out about?" Avery saw Elliot walking over and knew that there was no way for her to hide whatever La requested from him.
"Well... My passport is at home, so can you sneak that out for me?" La kept her voice low. "I''ve already gotten Eric''s passport from his mom."
Realization dawned on Avery. "You need to talk to Eric about this. Are you nning on tricking him into marrying you?" Avery''s brow twitched at the thought.
"You know him, Mom! He is so stubborn, and if I don''t take the initiative, we will never get married." La sighed. "Mom, just help me out!"
"I thought you are waiting for another half a year? What''s the rush?" Avery wanted to help, but not before she understood what La was thinking. La cleared her throat. "I''m living with him."
"I know that!" Avery said but immediately realized that La meant something else. "Do you mean to say that you are sleeping in the same room?"
"Yeah. His house is quite empty, and
I''m a little scared to be in a room on my own, La lied about her intentions. "I''m worried that something would happen to him in the middle of the night as well..." N?velDrama.Org owns this text.
"The two of you haven''t done anything out of line, have you?" Avery questioned nervously.
She was not worried that La
might get pregnant but was concerned for Eric''s health as he was still recovering from the heart transnt and would need to rest for at least half a year before he could be intimate with anyone
"What are you talking about, Mom?!" La raised her voice. "Do I look like that kind of person to you? The doctors worked so hard to bring him back to life, so I can''t possibly de anything to jeopardize his health! I just think that since we are already living together, we might as well just get the paperwork out of the way."
Avery sighed a breath of relief. "If you want your passport,e home and get it."
"Oh... Is Dad home?" La asked.
"Yeah! He is right next to me now so he heard every word you said just now," Avery said and shot Elliot a look, spotting the conflicted look on his face.
"When you and Ivy go shoppingter, I will stay home and wait for La to drop by," Elliot said.
