Chapter 1369
I was stunned. I realized he had not been bullsh*tting all along.
After a few seconds of silence, I replied, "Alright then."
Through his reply, I could feel him smirking. "I thought you''d decline," he said. "I''ll send you the
address in a bit. Don''t bete. I''d feel upset if you do."
After hanging up, I tried calling Hendrix once again. Fortunately, the call was connected. It was a bit
noisy at his end like there were many vehicles around him.
"Hendrix, has anything gone wrong at your end?"
"I''m stuck in a traffic jam," He said hurriedly. "No worries. I''ve spoken to Mr. Moore. He won''t be
heading to Asherton anytime soon. So, don''t worry."
I heaved a sigh of relief and said, "Alright then. Fetch him to the hospital. I''ll call my mom to let her
know so that she would stop worrying."
I hung up on Hendrix. Then, I called Valerie.
The address that Sebastian sent was just a stone’ s throw away from where I was. I did not drive
over. Instead, I took a taxi. The destination was a teahouse.

The ce seemed like a private residence from the outside. Had the waiter note over and
greeted me, I would not have realized that I had arrived. I followed him into the tea room.
Sebastian was there, d in a casual blue sweater. The indoor heating system was set quite high.
He put his coat on the tatami. When he saw me, he smiled and said, "Please, have a seat. Let''s
enjoy this tea together!"
I pursed my lips and sat down opposite him. Not in a rush to speak, he busied himself with brewing
tea. Then he passed me a porcin teacup and said, "Smell the fragrance!"
I lifted the teacup and sniffed it. There was a strong aroma of green tea which was tinged with
sweetness. As I saw him smiling at me, I put the teacup on the table and said, "It'' s fragrant,
indeed!"
He smiled and said, "Clearly, you can appreciate fine tea!"
He then poured some tea into my teacup. I frowned. He did not give the impression that he was
getting down to business anytime soon. Agitated, I looked at him and said, "Sebastian, I''m too busy
to idle my time away."
He furrowed his brows. Perhaps, I had annoyed him. He looked at me with displeasure and said, "I
ce quality of life above everything else. Feel free to make a move if you think I''m wasting your
time."
He raised his hand and pointed his slender finger at the door.
He clearly knew that I would not leave, especially since I had yet to obtain the information I wanted.
I pursed my lips and raised the teacup, then I guzzled the entire cup. At this moment, I could hear
his disgruntled voice as he grumbled, "What a waste. You should have just taken a sip. What''s the
point of chugging top-quality tea?"
As I put the teacup on the table, I looked at him and frowned slightly. "To each their own... I have my
own ways of enjoying tea," I retorted.
He frowned. As he poured me another cup of tea, he raised his eyebrows and instructed, "Just take
a sip and enjoy it!"
I was a little irritated. I was not a tea connoisseur and did not know how to appreciate fine tea. Since
he was staring at me, I could not help but try to give the impression that I enjoyed the tea.
Satisfied, he said, "Right, that’s the way it should be."
I heaved a sigh of relief as I looked at him.
He was rather decorous. After taking a sip, hemented, "Impressive!"
As I met his eye, he grinned and said, "Given this, I take it that you reciprocate my feelings for
you?"
I frowned as I resisted the urge to fly into a rage. "I''m married,” I said. "If money is what you''re after,
I can give it to you. Save Anne''s life and I''ll figure out a way to return my grandmother''s box to you."
