Chapter 576
The kindergarten gate opened and the teacher stood by, watching the children leave their sses and
go to their guardians. Anne and Bet were in the same ss.
When the two children saw us, they smiled brightly.
Anne stared at me and shouted, "Mom!" After a pause, she looked up at her teacher and told her, "Miss
Sunny, my mom and Bet''s dad are here. We''re going now. Bye."
As she said that, the little fellow dragged Bet along and ran toward us.
Anne said while hugging me, "Mom, I''ve invited Bet toe to our house for dinner today. We''ve
praised your cooking skills."
After a pause, she lowered her voice and whispered, "You can''t embarrass me!"
Iughed helplessly and nced at Bet. "Bet, is it alright for us to have dinner together
today?"
This child didn''t talk much as he was an introvert. He held Norman''s fingers tightly and looked up at
Anne who was in my arms. Soon, he nodded and agreed, "Okay. Thank you, Madam Reid!"
"Let''s go!" I eximed.
After returning to the courtyard, Anne and Bet went to the backyard to pick a melon while Norman
drove out to buy some seafood.
I washed the vegetables in the kitchen and started the fire.
This is how my life was now. After four years, I would usually cook by myself and used different ways to
make delicious food for Anne in order to make her healthier.
After a long time, I had picked up on some good cooking skills. After washing the vegetables, Anne and
Bet returned with some freshly picked vegetables.
The two little fellows each carried a small basket. Bet''s basket was fully filled; the melon looked
like it was about to fall out.
There were some beans in Anne''s basket. It seemed like she had followed Bet to the backyard and
picked them.
"Mom, we''re back!" She said as she lounged the basket around with some mud on her tiny face.
Looking at the sweat on Bet''s tiny face, I took the basket quickly and wiped the sweat from his
forehead. I said helplessly, "Next time, give some of it to her. Don''t carry it alone!"
The little fellow smiled. Looking dotingly at Anne, he muttered, "She''s still young, she can''t lift it!"
"Right, Mom. I''m weak and out of strength, so I asked Bet to help me!" She was so shameless. I
suspected that she had learned this from Ian.
I red at her and said angrily, "Next time, if you continue to bully Bet like this, you will water the
vegetables in the backyard all by yourself."
She pouted. "Fine, I''ll water it. I won''t be doing it alone anyway."
This kid had me speechless.
Every time she was punished, Bet woulde to help her. Soon, she learned to be naughty and I
couldn''t do much about it.
Norman then came back with two crucian carps and some crayfish.
Anne was brave. She quickly grabbed a seafood and tried to scare Bet by chasing after him with it
in her hand.

I nodded.
Anne and Bet were probably hungry. They surrounded the stove and looked up at me while taking
in the smell of cooked food.
Usually, Bet would get the bowls and tableware while Anne would continue standing by my side,
waiting for me.
Norman carried her aside and instructed her with a smile, "Anne, go and ce the fruits on the table.
We''ll have dinner soon."
She nodded and looked up at me, "Mom, hurry up. I''m so hungry!"
I nodded and filled the bowl with food. Then, Norman brought it over to the table.
"Mom, well wait for you!" Anne yelled. Although they were hungry, they still looked at me, waiting for
me to join them at the dining table.
