    Chapter 2350

Nathan chuckled. "Six billion is rather costly, isn''t it? I''m sure you can name a better price than that."

Joh frowned. “You seem like a man of great power and influence, Mr. Cross. Tell you what, I''ll knock off two hundred million from his debt. Think of it as a gesture to initiate a long andsting friendship between us."

Nathan shook his head. "It''s still too much."

Joh''s smile faded. "I run a casino, Mr. Cross. We do not bargain. If you really are sincere in conducting this transaction, make me a serious offer and if I find it satisfactory, I''ll let him leave with you."

Nathan held out his right palm with all five fingers extended.

"Five billion?" Joh asked, nonplussed. "Thomas'' debt has dragged on for quite some time. As you can imagine, the interest rued is not a negligible sum."

Nathan''s smile did not falter. "Not five billion."? N?velDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

"You can''t possibly mean half a billion?" Joh shouted. "You''re out of your mind. There''s no way I''m letting him off the hook for that measly amount. If you''re not going to make a sincere offer, then kindly get out of my office."

"Tarkie!" Joh called, turning to his subordinate. "Show these gentlemen out."

Tarkie was about to reach out to grab Nathan by the shoulder, but Colin was quicker. Thud!

A heavy fist struck Tarkie on the cheek and sent a spray of blood onto the office floor.

The impact was so immense that Tarkie was sent flying backward before crumpling in a heap on the floor. A bloody crater took the ce where his cheek used to be.

"How dare youy a finger on my men on my turf!" Joh yelled. "Men! Take them!"

    "Yes, Mr. Cross!"

The eight bodyguards started forward like a pack of wolves toward where Nathan and Colin stood.

Without even a shred of fear, Colin stepped forth to confront them head-on.

    Thud! Crash! Pow!

One by one, they fell like flies under Colin''s fists.

In a rage, Joh mmed a button on his desk to summon reinforcements.

At the same time, he pulled open a drawer and extracted the gun within.

Just as he was about to raise it, he found Nathan suddenly standing in front of him.

Before he could recover his shock sufficiently to take aim, Nathan pped him across the face.

    Smack!

Joh''s formidable frame was sent flying backward from Nathan''s p as if he was a ragdoll. He crashed into the statue of himself, his gun falling some distance away with a tter.

Ignoring the gash on his face, he crawled desperately toward the gun. Just when he was about to wrap his fingers around it, he found a ck loafer stepping firmly on the handle.

Gazing upward with horror, Joh found himself face-to-face with Nathan gazing down at him coldly from full height.

"Don''t you dare harm me. I have arge group of men outside who will rip you to shreds before you get out of here alive," Joh warned in a quavering voice.

As he spoke, the office doors were kicked open.

Instead of Joh''s backups, as Joh expected, the men who barged in were the Elite Eight. They were covered in blood of Joh''s men from head to foot.

As it turned out, when the noise of

battle within the office broke out it had roused the suspicions of Joh''s men outside who then initiated the attack against the Elite

    Eight.

As trained military men serving under themand of Nathan, the Elite Eight subdued Joh''s men with little to no effort.

"The threat outside has beenpletely neutralized, General."

Joh was shocked at the news of his own men''s defeat.

"Now, are you ready to hear my terms?" Nathan said calmly, continuing their negotiation as if nothing had happened.

    Joh trembled. "Anything you say,

    Mr. Cross. Anything."

"Not five billion, not five hundred million. I''ll pay you five bucks. In exchange, you will let Thomas go and clear all of his debts." Despite his fear, Joh was outraged. "No way!"

Nathan raised his foot and brought it crashing down onto Joh''s left knee with a loud crunch.

    "Ah!" Joh screamed in agony.

"Just so we''re clear, I am not seeking your approval in this matter. I am ordering you to."

As he was speaking, he broke Joh''s other leg in a simr fashion.

Nathan''s gaze turned cold. "Looks like I may have to."

With his left hand securely around Joh''s neck, Nathan''s right hand rained a flurry of strikes down on his face.

Soon, Joh''s face was covered in blood.

"Last chance. Are you going to ept my terms?" Nathan said coldly.

Joh had never been in a more wretched state. He finally relented at that moment, with the cold embrace of death so close.

"I''ll let him go. I''ll make the call to have him released," he croaked weakly.
