Chapter 1297


    “What are you doing…ah!” Before she could finish, she had been flung onto the couch.


    She paled when she realized what Anthony was about to do and he pressed up against her, his shadow


    looming over her.


    Anne had a taste of what it felt like to rather be dead as Anthony showed her the consequences of


    saying those words.


    Provoked, Anthony was determined to sooth the boiling rage within him with Anne’s screams.


    The fact that Anne refused to obey had caused him to be increasingly agitated, and he would not


    stop until Anne obeyed and had eyes for no one but him.


    He did not care what it took to achieve that goal.


    In the end, Anne was sent into the hospital after Anthony’s relentless torture.


    She woke up in the middle of night to find herself in the hospital.


    Anne did not cry and simply stared at the ceiling dazedly, not even realizing it when someone entered


    the room.


    Anthony sat by the bed and reached for her hand, but she immediately pulled her arm away.


    “Still haven’t learnt?” He questioned coldly.


    She did not respond and simply turned to stare at the window expressionlessly.

    “Anne, fighting me won’t do you any good,” he warned her.


    She still refused to speak.


    “Are you mute or something?!” He tilted her face toward him and stared at her roughly.


    Anne stared at him emotionlessly.


    “Do you really think that I can’t do anything if you act like this?” He questioned viciously. “Should I carry


    on with what I was doingst night for you to give me some sort of reaction?”


    Anne did not want to react, but her body instinctively began shaking like a lead.


    Satisfied with her reaction, he pressed his lips against hers.


    Anne was able to bear with it at first, but Anthony’s movements intensified as he tried to draw out more


    responses from her.


    “Umph…” She bit down.


    Anthony grunted, but did not let go and continued to devour her lips.


    She panted and sobbed as she tore at his shirt.


    Anthony let go and licked the blood on his lips. “Finally responding, are we?”


    Just the look on the man’s face was enough to overwhelm her with fear even if he did nothing, not to


    mention his twisted, evil personality.


    Tears scrolled down her eyes and disappeared into her hair.


    “Once you recover, I will take you somewhere else so no one can disturb us. Hm?” He caressed her


    cheek and narrowed his eyes at the smooth sensation of her skin.


    “You want to keep me locked up again, right?” She asked hoarsely.


    “I need you to obey. If punishing you once isn’t enough, I will keep trying…until I am satisfied.” His eyes


    were filled with obsessive possessiveness.


    Terrified, she trembled.


    He nted a kiss on her quivering lips. “I’m not happy with your current performance. You are mine. You


    are only allowed to react to me.”


    She remained frozen as he kissed her and panted as though she was at the brink of dying.


    Throughout the following days in the hospital, Anne stayed in her own bubble and would not say a word


    even when Kathryn spoke to her, as though she did not eare if she was wounded.
