Chapter 1175
“You’ve been mistaken. I came out here to admire the moon and was never going to run away,” she lied
calmly.
“Quit the bullsh*t, Ashlynn. We are all here to guard the ce! You could have admired the moon from
inside the mansion!” Owen was a thug, and his pride meant everything. Not only was he pped in the
face, but he had also been treated like a fool and hit in the head.
“The moon looks different out here. Besides, he was rude to me, so what if I decided to teach him a
lesson? Corentin, you can’t possibly ask me to ept being bullied by your men, can you?” she
argued.
“Corentin, I didn’t…” Owen was about to argue, but Corentin interrupted him.
“Go get your wounds checked!”
Owen gritted his teeth furiously but knew that he would not be able to do anything to Ashlynn and left
with the others.
Corentin turned to stare at Ashlynn like a monster lurking in the dark.
She kept her guilt at bay and said, “You can’t believe what he said, can you?”
“I don’t believe anything but my own eyes.”
Stunned, she thought to herself, ‘Eyes? Corentin saw me escape? Maybe he is just lying.‘
She panicked as he walked closer; she wondered what she had been missing.
“Curious?” He stood before her, his towering height kept the moon out of her sight, and her blood ran
cold.
“I don’t know what you are talking about…” she persisted.
“I forgot to tell you that there are cameras in the mansion.”
Her expression darkened, and she thought to herself, ‘There are cameras all over the mansion? I didn’t
see thating. Doesn’t that mean that Corentin saw everything that I was doing?‘
Exposed of her lies, she backed away.
“Aren’t you going inside?” he asked, ignoring the anxious expression on her face.
She bit her lip and turned to go inside while Corentin followed closely behind.
The main door slowly closed behind them, and the two walked through the garden to get to the living
room.
She instinctively looked around for the cameras but knew that they must be hidden so that she could
not find them. As soon as Corentin told her about them, she felt as though countless eyes were
watching her.
“Stop looking for them. You won’t be able to avoid them even if you know where they are.” Corentin
saw right through her.
“You installed a lot of them?” she questioned coldly, as that was the only exnation as to why she
would not be able to avoid them.
“Every corner.” He propped his hands on his hips as he studied her darkly. “Including the rooms and
the bathrooms.”
“W… What? The bathrooms?” She gasped in disbelief and thought to herself, ‘Forget the rooms. How
sick can this man be to install surveince cameras in a ce like a bathroom?‘
“Your every move is being watched. Don’t try to leave again, or I will know immediately.”
She walked up to him furiously. “I can ignore the rest, but no cameras in the bathroom.”
He narrowed his eyes evilly. “I’ve seen every inch of you, and I might just know your body better than
yourself.”
“Even if that’s true, you can’t do this!”
“Don’t get mad. It’s bad for the baby.” Corentin did not intend on removing any of the surveince
cameras. “Alright, let’s go back to the room and rest.” he stormed up the stairs and darted into the
ensuite bathroom to the master bedroom. She looked around, and when she failed to find anything, she
closed the light and used the shlight on her phone to search in the dark until she found a little red dot
next to the mirror.
She opened the lights and spotted the camera hidden behind the mirror, which faced the entire
bathroom. Anything done in the bathroom would be captured. She reached to tear it out but was
stopped by a hand around her wrist.
“Corentin Lloyd!” she screamed.
“Even if you managed to get it out, I can still put that back in. Don’t waste your energy. If it weren’t for
the cameras, I wouldn’t even know that you haven’t given up.
Is it really so torturing for you to bear my child?” he warned.
“No! It’s not just torture. It’s hell!” she resisted fearlessly.
His expression darkened as he dragged her back to the bed by the wrist. “Go to bed and sleep.”
“I’ve never wanted to bear your child. Not five years ago, not now!”
He grabbed her hair and pulled until she was forced to look up.
“Ah!”
“Are you giving birth? Huh?!” he gritted out.
“Umph! Ugh… Never! Corentin Lloyd, just kill me! Kill me!” She red daggers at him.
He pulled her hair until the veins on the back of his hand began showing. His chest heaved as he
stared at the determined look on Ashlynn’s face before shoving her aside.
“Ugh…” She stumbled backward and fell onto the bed.
“I’m going to take a shower. You are staying in bed until Ie out!” He stormed into the bathroom.
The door was mmed shut.
Ashlynn exhaled through her quivering lips as tears filled her eyes, unable to calm herself as her head
still ached from the assault earlier.
Corentin was a ruthless monster who was capable of anything in order to force her into giving birth.
‘What about me? Am I supposed to stay here for ten months? This is a prison!‘ she thought.
By the time Corentin came out of the shower, Ashlynn was already on the bed with her back facing his
side. Hey down, knowing that Ashlynn could not possibly be asleep so quickly. Having calmed down,
he turned and reached his arm over her body to hold her hand.
Indeed, Ashlynn was awake.
She could not fall asleep, no matter howte it was. She had just been told that the mansion was full of
surveince cameras, and she was not given any respect for her privacy, which would not happen even
if one was in prison.
“Ashlynn, give birth to our baby. I will be good to you.”
Her heart did not waver as she thought, ‘What is it like for a monster to be good? No one would want to
ept that.‘
“If I give birth, will you get rid of that river filled with crocodiles?” she asked emotionlessly.
“I’m keeping that.”
“What for?”
“It will be of use if you lose the baby.” He tightened his arm around her. “I’m d that you are willing to
give birth to it now. That way, the river is just nothing but a decoration at most.”ConTEent bel0ngs to N?v(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
