Anthony’s reply did not make Anne feel happy, but she did not feel unhappy either. It was as though she

“What is the matter?”
Anne shifted her eyesight. She had a sudden urge to remove the bandage on her face so that he could
not take a bath while facing her in such a condition.

The bathtub was huge, like a mini pool.
Anne sat in the tub, the water rippling lightly. The water level was just right under her corbone.

The distance between them was shortened, and Anne was feeling on edge, as though she was sitting on
a fire.

Anthony retrieved the towel from the side and said, “Lift your head up.”
Anne obediently lifted her head. Anthony used the towel and dipped some water, then wiped her body
gently over her neck, her corbone, and her shoulders. He was helping her to bathe.
Anne remembered that when she was a kid, the vigers used to take baths in big metal pots that could
be put on fire and heated up.
She was tiny and did not know how to bathe, so she always slipped to the bottom
and choked on water.
Her aunt would always help her to bathe, and she would do the same, helping her by using a towel.
Her eyes were warm, and her tears suddenly fell onto Anthony’s chest.
Anthony’s hands paused, and his heart tightened. He ced his finger beneath her eyes. “Are you
feeling unwell?”
Anne shook her head. “My mother… And my aunt was murdered by Lilian. She admitted it…”
They had been unable to find the murderer all along because they were killed because of herself.
“We found the murderer now. They could rest in peace now.” Anthony wiped her
tears away.
However, Anne knew that the murderer of her father was still very well alive.
