    She desperately wished that she could see her son and hold him closer, but with her vision taken from


    her, she was rendered helpless and could only wait.


    Chris and Chloe remained in their mother’s arms quietly with tears in their eyes, but did not dare to cry.

    emergency room where Kathryn was already waiting.


    Anne stood in the corridor with her hands on her two children, not daring to burst into tears as she did


    not want to scare them by making them think that Charlie was in critical condition.


    “It’s okay. Charlie is going to be fine,” she mumbled. “Is Anthony here?”

    “We’ve already informed Mr. Marwood and he is almost here,” Ivan said in all seriousness. “This is our


    mistake. We had not anticipated for something like that to happen within such a short period of time.”


    Feeling like she was at the brink of a mental breakdown, Anne said to the nanny, Bring the children
