Chapter 792
Anne turned to look at Anthony.
Anthony did not have to be here, but he came over by coincidence, and Corentin arrived shortly after.
Anne could not help but suspect if he plotted to appear at the right time.
“So you deny all the usations Ashlynn made against you?” Anthony asked.
“I’ve looked into her past in the past two days and I do look a lot like Salvatore, but apart from looks, we
arepletely different. I’ve never even stepped foot into undeveloped viges like that,” Corentin said
calmly.
Ashlynn could not believe what she was hearing and exined hastily, “He’s lying! That’s not true! You
told me yourself that you are Salvatore. You locked me in your room and asked me why I betrayed you
and sent you into prison. I’m not mistaken!”
Corentin maintained hisposure at Ashlynn’s confrontation to the extent where even Anthony could
not tell any fault in his reaction. “When I looked into your background, I found that you’ve been going to
a psychiatrist for a long period of time after Salvatore was dead. Is that correct?” Corentin asked.
It was the truth and Ashlynn admitted to it.
“I’ve met with that doctor and he says you consistently have illusions and nightmares of Salvatore.
There’s even a time when you called your psychiatrist, telling him that Salvatore is knocking on your
door. Am I wrong?”
Ashlynn stared at him dazedly and waspletely rendered speechless.
“Is that true, Ashlynn?” Anne asked.
Ashlynn tried her best to keep herself from shaking and nodded. “I was traumatized to the point where I
was extremely paranoid, that’s why I went to a psychiatrist, but…he said that
I’ve recovered…”
“What proof do you have to prove that I’m Salvatore?”
“You have the wedding photo of me and Salvatore at your mansion. That’s proof!”
“That’s off. Why would I have the wedding photo of you and your ex–husband? It seems like your
psychiatrist has misjudged and you have yet to fully recover,” Corentin said, “I think she has gotten into
this hysterical state because your grandfather chased her out that day,
Anne.”
“No! That’s not true…”
“I thought that we got married because we feel the same about each other. I didn’t expect that you are
still thinking of Salvatore and that you are mistaking me for him,” he said.
Stunned, Anne said, “You…you two got married?”
They had just met for a few days!
“Don’t tell your grandfather about this for now. I don’t want him to get upset,” Corentin said, “I’ve always
been like this. When I want to do something, I don’t sit around and wait.”
Anne turned to gape at Ashlynn, as Ashlynn had not mentioned that they were married. Though they
did not have a proper wedding, they were legally bound as man and wife.
“He forced me to. I didn’t want to!” Ashlynn jumped to her feet and grabbed Corentin by the cor. “Tell
them the truth! Say it!”
Corentin simply stared at her without moving.
Anne hurried over to pull her away. “Ashlynn, calm down!”
Corentin adjusted his cor and got up. “You are already my wife now, but I’ll give you time to process
this. As for the paternity test, you can send someone over to take my blood sample. I’ll be staying in the
Eastern Hotel for tonight and return to Athetin tomorrow. I wish for this to be settled as soon as
possible.”
He left after that and Ashlynn watched as he walked away, unable to control her emotions.
‘That’s it?‘ She thought, ‘No way. I need to divorce him. I don’t want this to end this way!‘

“Ashlynn, could there be any misunderstanding?”
Ashlynn nced at Anne. “No. He’s lying. He is Salvatore. Ms. Vallois, you have to believe me. He’s
putting on a show to fool us all!”
