    Anne narrowed her eyes darkly as Bianca said the same thing as Anthony did.


    Bianca was important to Anthony, but she was a cheap recement. She knew it by heart and did not


    need any further reminders.


    She desperately wanted to tell Bianca that she was the woman who spent the night with Anthony,


    wondering how furious Bianca would be. However, she refrained from doing so as her children still


    needed to live with Bianca.


    “Isn’t that a good thing? With another woman in the picture, both of us cany back and rx,” Anne


    said.


    Anne’s careless tone made Bianca feel as though she was punching at a cushion and that her insults


    had no effect on Anne.


    ‘No. It’s definitely working. Anne is just pretending to be fine. She must feel really hurt,’ Bianca thought.


    “Anthony went to another woman, which means he’s fine without you. But I’m different. I’m still his


    fiance and no matter how many women he sleeps with outside, nothing will change. Just wait until you


    feel what it’s like to be thrown into hell!” Bianca continued.


    Bianca turned to leave.


    Anne watched as Bianca opened the door and blurted out, “Did you drug him?”


    Bianca stilled guiltily but turned to look at Anne in disbelief. “Me? Is that even necessary?”


    She sneered and left.


    Anne, too, felt as though she had asked a foolish question since Bianca should not need drugs to be


    intimate with Anthony.


    Perhaps it was another woman who plotted to seduce Anthony when he was out with others.


    Anthony was a powerful man, and apart from women, even the men he had worked with wanted to


    send women to his bed.


    Mr. Walker snuck out to the parking lot and approached a certain car.

    Bianca lowered the car window and asked, “When did Annee back?”


    “This afternoon.”


    “Afternoon?” Bianca repeated, as she had not expected that. “I thought she came back with the others.”


    “I asked around, and they traveled back together, but Ms. Vallois had something else to attend to, so


    she arrived back at the office a littleter.”


    Bianca rxed at the fact that Anne did not return the night before and decided that she had


    overthought.


    Anthony was drugged and desperately needed a woman, and Anne would be too far to help. Bianca


    went to tell Anne about this because she wanted Anne to see just how unworthy she was.


    Anne finished all the urgent matters at work and hurried to the hospital to visit Nigel.


    She opened the door to the ward and saw the person sitting inside. “I knew you would be here and


    didn’t even bother calling.”


    “When did youe back?” Sarah was pleased to see her daughter, tired of sitting by Nigel’s side


    quietly.


    “This morning,” Anne said and reminded the others to say the same thing as well to avoid provoking


    Bianca.


    “You look tired, though. Exhausted from the business trip?”


    Anne stood by the bed and stared at her father while remembering Cory’s attitude with a heavy heart.


    The situation was worse than she had imagined for Nigel to be in such a conflict with his own father,


    and Anne simply felt sorry for him.


    “Dad’s father’s name is Cory Lloyd. He’s a very cold man and didn’t even ask about Dad’s condition


    despite knowing he was in a car ident. Maybe he thought Dad wasn’t that severely hurt!”


    “Did he mention anything abouting to see your dad?”


    “No. He just told Uncle toe,” Anne said.


    Frustrated, Sarah said, “What kind of a father is he? How cruel! It’s good that he’s noting!”
