“What… What else can you do apart from forcing yourself on me?”
“I can make you beg for mercy,” he mumbled in a hoarse voice with his lips pressed against her flushed
cheek.
She refused to listen to him and closed her eyes.
“If you agree toe back tonight, I’ll let you leave.”
“Why do I have toe back?” she scowled.
He let her go and turned to head into the room. “The medicine’s effect hasn’t worn off.”
“What? Still? You have to be joking! Even if that’s true, why don’t you go to Bianca?” she yelled after
him.
“I don’t want to hurt her.”
Anne stilled and bit her lips as she red at the towering figure before her with a dark look on her face.
‘That’s right. He’s been drugged and doesn’t want to hurt Bianca by ident, so he turns to me
because I deserve to be tortured to death!’ she thought.
Without another word, she turned and left the apartment.
Anthony narrowed his eyes when he heard her mming the door shut and thought, ‘She’s still quite
energetic if she can throw a tantrum like that. I shouldn’t have held back. It’s fine, though. I can save it
for tonight.‘
Anne returned to the office and sat down, feeling like her body was falling apart.
She had to struggle through the difort throughout her body to leave the apartment. She could not
help butpare Anthony to a wild beast.
In a few minutes, someone knocked on her door, and she immediately straightened her back.
Ken walked in. “Here you are, Ms. Vallois.”
“Yeah. Did the others arrive in the morning?”
“Mr. Stahl and Mr. Allen are back, but Ms. Thompson isn’t back yet.”

“She’s still in Athetin?” Shocked, Anne asked, “Why did she stay behind?”
“I heard that something was wrong with the contract, and Corentin needed her to fix it. Since Ms.
Thompson worked for us, she knows what’s going on and won’t make any mistakes. That’s why Mr.
Stahl and Mr. Allen came back first. Your belongings have been sent here as well,” Ken exined
before ncing at the couch.
Anne had left some documents, her purse, and her phone in Corentin’s mansion. She nodded and
asked, “I assume there’s a lot of work piling up in my absence?”
“Yes.” Ben handed the documents in his hands over to her. “These are the receipts of the factory
construction.”
Anne nced through them. “Are these all?”
“Yes.”
She would have to look past the surface and run calctions andparisons with the cost along with
the expenses such as sry for the construction workers. Since she had worked in the finance
department before, she was familiar with the task and would be able to find out if everything was right.
Just as she was speaking to Ken, the door mmed open. Anne looked up and found Bianca staring
down at her arrogantly.
“You don’t wee me? This is my dad’s office. You are just borrowing it. Don’t think that it’s yours.”
Bianca turned to Ken. “Get out.”
Ken nced at Anne.
“Why are you looking at her? Are you ignoring my order? Have you already forgotten who I am? How
forgetful, Mr. Winston!” Bianca questioned sharply.
“You may go, Mr. Winston,” Anne said and turned to stare at Bianca coldly after Ken left the office.
“What are you doing here? To emphasize who you are?”
“When did youe back?”
“I’m not aware that I have to report to you.”
Bianca stared at her in contempt. “I just don’t want you to miss out on the most recent development
and misjudge the situation to think that you are important. Anthony was druggedst night, and he slept
with another woman. Here I thought you were special. I guess not,” she mocked viciously.
Anne listened expressionlessly. “Well, I’m no one. You are his fiance, the future Mrs. Marwood, so why
didn’t he go to you? Judging from how you are showing off, one would have thought he went to you.”
“That’s because he cared about me too much and didn’t want to hurt me!”
