Chapter 1394
Estelle wandered into the backyard, spotting a man in his forties sweeping leaves. He seemed to be a
housekeeper working for the Ger family.
He nced at them impatiently, saying, “You guys again? Mr. Ger already said he doesn’t want to be
in your show. Please leave, don’t bother us anymore.” Sallie pleaded, “Please give us one more
chance, just onest time, okay?”
The housekeeper, aware that Sallie hade many times before, felt a bit sympathetic towards her.
After a moment of hesitation, he nodded, “Fine, you can go in again. But if Mr. Ger still disagrees,
don’t pester him anymore, or I’ll get in trouble too.”
“Thank you!” Sallie immediately thanked him.
Hans whispered, “Why is Mr. Ger acting so high and mighty?”
Henson snorted. “These so-called artists think they’re all that, but they’re nothing”
“Henson” Estelle shot back at him.
Henson grinned at Estelle, “Ainght, alright. I’ll shut up.”

Sallie knocked and entered. Seeing an elderly man cutting fabric, she gave a respectful smile, “Mr.
Ger, I’m back again.”
“You people are so annoying.” Liam didn’t look up, just furrowed his brows.
Most of the furniture in the room was modern style. The historical wooden shelves were filled with
fabrics and various embroidery for making clothes.
Liam, dressed in grey, had white hair. The sunlight shone on Liam through the old wooden door,
making the scene seem like a throwback to another era.
“Mr. Ger, I had no choice. It’s my job,” Sallie said.
“Deal with your job yourself. Stop bothering me.” Liam put down his ruler heavily, sounding annoyed.
Estelle crossed the threshold, smiling, “Mr. Ger, long time no see.”
Liam paused, looked up at Estelle in surprise, then took off his sses and stared at her, “Are you
Estelle?”
Estelle nodded with a smile, “We haven’t seen each other for so many years. You’ve grown grumpier.”
Liam was thrilled. He immediately got up from behind the desk and looked Estelle up and down,
“Indeed, Estelle, you’ve grown taller and prettier”
Come, sit over here” Liam led Estelle to the side lounge, theri called out to the housekeeper in the yard,
“Make some coffee, and get some pastries, the sweetest
ones.”
He then turned to Estelle with a smile, “You still like sweets, don’t you? I remembered it right?”
“You remembered it right. Thank you for remembering Estelleughed
“Is Old Mr. Quintin well?” Liam asked with a hint of mncholy. “Thaven’t visited Old Mr. Quintin in a
long time. I’m ashamed.”
“Old Mr. Quintin is well. He often mentioned you.”
Tm humiliated” Liam looked sad, shaking his head, “I hope Old Mr. Quintin understood my situation.”
“Old Mr. Quintin has always understood you. He never med you.”
Liam nodded with a bitter smile
