126. Guard''s mate
"Ugh! How could I get caught?!" Nathan eximed in shock and disbelief as they both kept
walking fast toward the pack house office.
He still couldn’t digest the fact that his master n was caught by Athena so easily.
"You are thinking about that? I am still stuck at the smile she was having at the end. It''s still
giving me chills." Dominic said as he actually shook his head, as if he really got a chill run down
his spine at that moment.
"Oh, don''t even talk about that." Nathan said with a nervous look on his face while opening the
door of the office room where a guard was waiting with Justin.
"Whoa, you came fast." Justin eximed in surprise as he thought it was going to take time to
convince Athena. "What''s wrong? Why do you both look like you have been chased by a ghost?"
He asked with a frown as he couldn''t think of anything else seeing their faces.
"No, we have been chased by a ghost smile." Nathan said with a small roll of her eyes, confusing
Justin more than ever.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"Nothing, he meant nothing. Forget all these. Just start with the god-damned meeting. I have
only thirteen minutes left." Dominic scowled at them and that widened Nathan''s eyes.
"Oh yeah, otherwise you have to sleep in the garden. Let''s hurry up." Nathan said, immediately
earning a re from Dominic.
The thing Dominic was trying to hide from the guard actually came out through Nathan. That stupid
man!
Justin''s eyes widened when he heard Nathan and he immediately understood what was going on. He
got serious in no time after all he couldn''t let his best buddy sleep in the garden. But the guard was
having a hard time handling his smile.

"Enough now! Why did you call me? It obviously isn''t for signing some damn paper and what''s he doing
here?" Dominic snapped in annoyance while looking at the intruder. Suddenly everyone got serious
again.
"Alpha." The guard bowed in front of him to show respect which he epted with a small nod. Dominic
looked at Nathan to exin what was going on.
"Dominic, he is one of our guards. And he has found his mate." Nathan said and Dominic frowned
hearing him.
"And why are you telling me that? Do you want me to congratte him?" He asked with a frown. He
was being extra sassy at that moment because he was displeased after being called at this moment as

Dominic frowned hearing him.
"Derrick is torturing his mate as well? I swear to the goddess, I am not going to leave him this time if
that''s the case." Dominic said with gritted teeth and fisted hands.
As a leader, he couldn''t bear anyone going through any bad experience luck torture and abuse.
Nothing angers him more than an abusive man. He swore to protect everyone in his region when he
promised to be their leader. And he was going to keep his promise even if that means killing an alpha.
"No, it''s not that. His mate is actually off Derrick''s rader and she has been handling herself very well
there. But the fun thing is, they found each other for a long time now." Nathan said with a smirk, making
Dominic confused.
"For how long?" Dominic asked the guard with a frown.
"One month now, alpha." The man answered.
"Why?!" Dominic asked with a deep frown, unable to understand why someone would stay away from
his mate for so long.
"She said she had something to do there before she left the pack and joined me here." The guard said
in a monotonous tone.
"What is that?" Dominic asked yet again.
"The destruction of her current alpha." The man answered with his eyes held high, making Dominic
shocked.
"Why does she want his destruction and how is she going to do that alone?" He asked with a frown.
"She didn''t tell me why yet, alpha. But she is going to once she is here. And how is she going to
do that? By giving me the pack''s inside news." The guard answered while looking away from
Dominic.
Dominic''s face went cold seeing him look away and he immediately understood that the guard
was lying.
"Stop lying to me, bud. You know that''s not going to end well!" Dominic snapped at him and the
guard looked at him with widened eyes. He looked unprepared.
"L..I''m... alpha, actually..." He tried to find words but gave up atst when he saw that he couldn''t
win this against his alpha. He let out a sigh. "She didn''t tell me this yet but I heard from someone
in the pack that-..." He trailed off, closing his eyes.
