"Dominic, can you pleasee with us?" Nathan asked with a little bit of urgency in his tone which
made Athena frown.
Athena who was putting a morsel in Ace''s mouth stopped doing what she was doing and looked at
Nathan with a frown. She didn''t like the tone of Nathan. It was filled with a tense feeling. He seemed
worried about something and that immediately made her worry more.
It was the first normal day and dinner of their lives. All three of them cooked dinner together for the first
time like a real family. But now it was ruined because of something that happened. It seemed like the
whole world was against her happiness.
Anyone could understand her frustration and Dominic could feel her frustration through the mate bond.
She was he pissed.
"What is it, Nathan? Did something happen?" Athena asked in a cold and intimidating tone while
looking at him with squinted eyes. She was literally ring at his soul. That was so intimidating that
Nathan looked away from her immediately and looked at Dominic for an escape. Dominic immediately
understood and shook his head a little before looking at Athena.
"Athena, don''t scare the poor soul. Why don''t you continue feeding Ace. I will be back soon and then
we both will have dinner together. Trust me, it won''t take much time." Dominic quickly exined without
giving her any chance to say anything. He just wanted to walk away from there as soon as possible

"Wait!" Athena snapped at him, making him stand straight and close his eyes tightly.
But Athena wasn''t going to let it go so easily. She was adamant at that moment and that shows her
displeasure to let Dominic go at that moment.
Dominic gulped down, knowing that it was going to be hard for him to convince her.
Athena looked down at Ace who was busy ying some wolf running game on her phone. He didn''t
have any attention toward the adults. Athena knew he was going to be stuck there until she was done
with the conversation with them. So, she put another morsel in his mouth and walked toward Dominic.
She stood in front of Nathan with her arms crossed and gave him the same intimidating look which
made him squirm in his ce.
"I asked you a question, Nathan. Did something happen?" She asked in a cold tone. He gulped yet
again and looked back at Dominic for help who shrugged his shoulders at him, leaving him on his own.
''Do whatever you want, say whatever thates into your mind. Just don''t let the actual thing out if it''s
something serious. Make up something fast, don''t let her doubt.'' Dominic''s mind linked him, making
him re at Dominic. He gave Dominic an unbelievable look.
''What a great leader you are! Leaving yourpanions in the middle of the battlefield!'' Nathan scoffed
at him through the mind link.
''The person you are battling against, I can only have white gs in my hand in front of her, not any
sword.'' Dominic said, making Nathan sigh.
He couldn''t say anything after that. Even though he was afraid of messing up in front of Athena, at the
same time he was proud of Dominic. He loved hearing Dominic dering that he was always going to
submit in front of Athena.

"Nathan! Are you buying time to make up a lie? Don''t even try it. Tell me what''s going on? Why do you
need him at this time? It''s sote." Athena said with a deep frown, adamant to not to let Dominic go
without knowing the reason.
But it was toote. Nathan came prepared already. So, he was confident. He looked at her with a
strained smile, trying to look normal.
"Oh, Athena. I am sorry if I caused you worry by sounding urgent. Please don''t worry. It''s nothing. It''s
just that I am in a hurry for dinner as well. Suzanne is waiting for me." Nathan exined with the same
smile, trying to sound as casual as possible. He smartly passed the actual question and gave her the
assurance she unknowingly needed.
''That was a smart move.'' Dominic couldn''t help but praise him and he felt happy after getting praised
by his alpha.
"You still didn''t answer my question, Nathan. Why do you need him?" Athena asked with a frown,
almost letting go of the worry after hearing his exnation.
"It''s just the paperwork which needs his signature. We had some project of development with a
neighbouring pack which was supposed to start from tomorrow after getting a pass signature from
Dominic. But as he was in aa, it got dyed a little. We need to start the project tomorrow only.
So, we need the signature today and send it to the neighbouring pack so that they can continue with
the work on the exact day as previously nned." Nathan exined in one breath and took a lot of
deep breaths as soon as he was done.
The look of confidence didn'' t weaver from his face as he patiently waited to hear something from her.
She silently judged him for sometime, a few seconds, before directly looking away from him and walked
toward Ace. She walked past Dominic and didn''t even look at him.
"Fifteen minutes. You have exactly fifteen minutes to return back to this dining table and have dinner
with me if you don''t want to sleep in the garden tonight." She said in a cold tone and continued to feed
Ace again.
Dominic and Nathan shared a confused look. They couldn''t understand what was going on in her mind.
They couldn''t understand if she bought the lie or not and it made them anxious. But they decided to not
to poke her more at that moment and take the opportunity. They can think about the restter.
"I will be back in exactly fifteen minutes, love. After all, what are the uses of these powers if they can''t
save me from sleeping in the garden?!" Dominic joked before turning around to leave with Nathan
quickly. They didn''t want to waste another second there.
"Oh, Nathan?" Athena called him at the end moment, making him turn around to look at him.
"Yes?" He asked innocently yet anxiously.
"Too much exnation and smiles can be anything buttrue."
