Note:
After collecting some plants and flowers earlier, I have crushed some of the leaves into crude watercolor paint.
Its currently approaching midday, and I will soon have to find some form of caloric intake for myself.
I decided to explore the rest of the cave, and in the far reaches was a small alcove with what appears to be the spring that is sourcing the stream. The alcove is filled with crystals. I have painted a few of them using the crude paints. I have left them embedded within the walls of the cave.
Besides their distinct color, they also exude the same glow that the plants outside do.
Specimen #013
Appearance: Stone appears to reflect yellow light.
Glow: Yellow
Mood: A particular nostalgic familiarity
Note: When my hand is barely touching this crystal, a small but sharp pain is felt. This is reminiscent of touching an insufficiently grounded electrical device.

Specimen #014
Appearance: Diffracts red light from an unknown source
Glow: A dull red
Note: Crystal is noticeably warmer then the surrounding stone.
Specimen #015
Appearance: Primarily occurring below the water level of the small pond, this crystal is a deep blue color.
Glow: A soft light blue.
Note:
The crystals and plants I have collected so far indicate that I am on an alien world.
The strange behavior of the minerals and the soft glow surrounding the specimens have lead me to believe that the world I am currently on has incorporated into its ecosystem some sort of element, compound or chemical that is rarely found on Earth.
My next task is to investigate the bio-compatibility between myself and the native creatures.
This will not be fun, but it will be better then dying of poison.
I do hope its not too late already. The human body does not do well when introduced to things outside of its evolutionary chemical environment.
