The [Essence of the Sun] spell is a spell that Rezen is proud of. It was the first ever magic spell that he had personally created and he judged it as unique even amongst other spells


    “A-ahh!!”


    “W-what’s this?”


    “Hot! It’s hot!”


    The members of Twighlight Beasts cried out in unison as they stared at their bodies


    It felt as if they were in the presence of the sun itself. Just being near it was already painful


    The sun is an extremely hot celestial body. The temperature of it was nothing but terrifying


    People would be dehydrated or burn to death just by being near it and that is exactly what was happening to these mages


    These mages that are close to Rezen and his spell can feel the sunlight burning their bodies. No, it wasn’t just a feeling


    Rezen’s mystic gem turned into a miniature sun. Just being near him would already burn a person


    It didn’t take that long before the mages felt their throats dry. Their lips cracked and even their flesh started giving off a burnt scent


    The feeling was extremely horrible. It was like they are facing the sun itself. The only thing that they can do was kneel down while trying to search for any hint of water or anything that is cold


    They were in a terrible situation and even the 4th fusion rank female mage is also suffering just in a different manner


    The 3rd rank underlings were close to Rezen but the female mage was not. Because of the distance, the [Essence of the Sun] showed the other thing it could do


    Instead of burning the female mage from the heat, because of the distance, what happened was the opposite


    The female mage can feel that all the warmth around her was vanishing or more like it was being sucked out of her surroundings


    Those that are close to Rezen experienced terrifyingly high temperature while those who are distance away from him is suffering from the cold


    Coldness is the result of the absence of heat. As the sun is the source of heat, without it, one would freeze


    Rezen’s spell was sucking the surrounding heat causing the female mage to suffer from cold to the point that ice starts forming on her body


    Heat is vital for survival. External temperature affects humans by arge margin


    Because of the extreme cold, the female mage’s crystal sheet wobbled. Her body was trembling and the cold made her lose her focus


    “Aahhkk!!”


    The Bizarre Eagle seems to have enmity with the female mage. It ignored everyone else to use its w and crush that female mage to death


    Get too close to the sun and you’ll burn, get too far away from it and you’ll freeze to death…


    That’s what the spell of Rezen does though it has one big loophole. If the enemies stood at a proper distance, his spell wouldn’t be able to affect them just like how the earth’s distance from the sun made life possible to exist


    After the death of the female mage and her underlings, the Bizarre Eagle showed a hint of intelligence


    It’s like it feels grateful for Rezen and it didn’t attack him and it just flew away


    Rezen has a more important goal and he just let the Bizarre Eagle go


    He hunted ten members of the Twighlight Beasts but that is just 1/10 of what he needed

    “Here’s the contract, it ispletely favorable to you” Macy said as she handed a folder to Rezen


    Currently, they are inside Rezen’s Mushroom Home sitting opposite each other


    Rezen received the folder and he thoroughly read the contract. He doesn’t know much aboutws and contracts, especially in this world where magic reigned supreme. But even then, he felt that the contract is really favorable to him


    In one of the uses, it states that Rezen can seize cooperation anytime he wants to. If he stopped the cooperation because of something that Daydream did, he would be entitled to apensation of a hundred million mana stones


    Rezen also has no obligation nor does he need to work his ass off for Daydream and many more uses all of which were favorable to him


    Seems like even if ude is missing right now since Rezen has the Token of Gratitude, Macy is forced to do what they had agreed before


    Rezen read the contract several times to make sure that there wasn’t something he had missed out much to Macy’s dissatisfaction


    She just wants this meeting to end as soon as possible. Too bad that with the desire of not ruining her reputation by being forced to create this contract, she came here on her own


    No matter what, she is the Chairman’s daughter and although it was kind of symbolic, she is still a high-ranking executive of Daydream. This much is within her capabilities


    “Drink your tea first, I guarantee its taste” Rezen said, his eyes still on the contract


    “No, I’m good” Macy refused


    The first time that Rezen had her eat something, she went blind and her body became under the “bastard’s” control


    She doesn’t know if it was because of the food she ate but after thinking of the situation back then, only the food could possibly do it since Rezen is too weak to do anything on her


    “Your loss then” Rezen replied since he knew how tasty his tea was. Even the scent was appealing and it took everything of Macy not to drink the warm tea inside the… ss… a drinking ss. The kind that was tall and thin…


    With Macy’s upbringing, she can guess whether something is expensive or not. Based on the scent alone, the tea is definitely something expensive and her heart aches for it


    Who in the right mind would serve tea in a tall drinking ss? Especially tea that is of high quality?


    That does the tea some injustice!


    “Alright, here, I finished reading and signing the contract” Rezen said and he handed the contract back much to Macy’s delight


    After all, she doesn’t want to stay here any longer


    “Then I will go now and… if youck money for high-quality teacups, you can request for it” Macy said


    Although she didn’t taste the tea, her guts were telling her that it was good and is not cheap enough to be poured into a tall drinking ss


    “Psh, it’s just tea. You make it, you drink it. Why bother using some sort of fancy cup?” Rezen replied while waving his hand


    Rich people and their rich habits!


    Rezen has to make sure that even if he can swim in mana stones, he definitely couldn’t be like this Macy, nitpicking on everything


    “S-suit yourself” Macy gave up and she was about to head out when Rezen stop her


    “Wait, why don’t you look at my products first? The contract may be favorable to me but I guarantee you that I have a lot of good stuff” Rezen suggested. It’s time to make good use of some of his mutated nts


    “I will send a team here so— yes, yes, I would like to see your products” Macy originally nned on refusing but after Rezen took out the Token of Gratitude from the Preston Family, she can only give up


    Seeing that token is the same thing as seeing the Patriarch or high-ranking members of the Preston Family


    Daydream is more or less on par with the Preston Family but the former is a businesspany while the other is a family that would team up onmon enemies


    In apany, various interests would collide and even the Chairman cannot decide everything on his own


    Families also have shes of interests but they would more likely put the safety and well-being of the family first as they shared blood with each other


    Many things are moreplicated than it seems and even Macy cannot show disrespect


    “Good, good, please have a sit again”


    Macy was forced to return to her seat and Rezen waved his hand on the table between them


    The metal potatoes appeared on top of the table which piqued Macy’s curiosity


    Daydream does the ‘processing’, ‘research’, and ‘creation’ of various things and does not personally grow the ‘raw materials’ but Macy has seen various raw materials in the past but she never saw anything like the ‘block of metal’ in front of her


    “What are these?” She asked out of curiosity while holding one metal potato in her hand


    “Metal Potatoes” Rezen answered truthfully. Out of all the mutated nts he has, the metal potatoes were on the top of the list he was interested in


    He wants to see these potatoes turn into weapons or armors since the system said that they could be turned into those


    If possible, he wants to arm all of his subordinates with armors made from metal potatoes


    It would even be better if his Nightmare Crows would have them since he nned on turning the Crows into one of the defense systems of his farm
