Chapter 23: Part One Pedition


    A youngdy joins me and Cami Dawn. “Come with me.” She insists.


    She was not rude but she was not very nice either. Well, I guess we should follow her. I am


    prepared for anything at this point.


    “Do not worry sugar. I got this.” Cami whispers to me. I know she does. I wonder where


    Brooke is. I hope she hasn’t betrayed us. It really wouldn’t surprise me. We follow the youngdy with


    the long white hair down a long hall.


    Ancient pictures are hanging on the walls of the hall as we walk. I try to look at every one of


    them but the white-haireddy is walking fast.


    “Who are these people?” I ask.


    She stops and looks at me, It’s an odd pause before she answers me. “They are the ones who


    have served Daniel for many years. We are his kingdom.” She replies.


    She immediately turns around and keeps walking quickly.  Cami Dawn grabs my arms tightly.


    “If anything seems like it might happen to me. Get to me quickly. I do not care how. I have to


    give you something before they kill me.” She whispers.


    I was not afraid before but I am now. The halls are so long. I hope I can find my way out if I


    need to. The youngdy with white hair finally stops in front of a room. The door is painted with a


    magnolia. The smell is magnolia. I smell my mother. She is here.


    The bride of Lucifer, my mother is here in apound of crazies in the middle of nowhere. We


    walk past the youngdy and I stop. I have to know her name.


    “May I have your name please?” I ask. She is reluctant. Daniel appears at the door.


    “Tell her.” He demands.


    “My name is your name Perdition.” She smiles and walks away.


    “Come Perdition, We have much to discuss. Cami, Brooke is waiting for you.” He barks at


    her.


    “Yes sir.” She doesn’t argue, she just goes to where he is pointing.


    He leads me to a corner of this huge room. There are so many people here.


    “Why is Sunnie here, Daniel? I thought she had betrayed everyone. She tried to kill me.” I ask.


    Daniel leads me to a wingback gold chair. “Sit.” He tells me.


    Iply. I sit down. “Sunnie works for me. I told her to kill you. I also told her to kill Cami


    Dawn.” At least he is telling me the truth.


    “Who has my children?” I ask.


    “Izzy, do you even remember ever having children? Do you remember your time in the void with


    Mayhem? Do you remember anything? Pull yourself together. You do not have children. Those are


    mine. They escaped from thepound. Cami Dawn found them in the void and gave them to you


    to care for. You are not a mother. You are a weak excuse for a sister. I have built an empire here on the


    topside. I am going to destroy this ce. Only my people will remain. There will be no heaven or hell


    just the chosen ones.”


    He walks away from me and leaves me stunned sitting in a gold chair. He ns to kill me. I


    know it.


    Cami Dawn was right they are nning to kill her but why? Whose children did I care for in


    the underworld? Where do Mayhem and Chaos fit into this? Why isn’t the apple working for me?


    Thedy with the long white haires back to me; she is carrying a small white teacup. She


    hands me the teacup.

    “Drink.” She says and walks away.


    I hold the cup in my hand for a moment. I can hear Cami in my head saying drink it quickly. I


    drink it. My brother rushes back into the room he is angry.


    “Who gave that to you?” he asks. I do not answer.


    Cami is running. I can hear her running for her life. I close my eyes to try to find her. Sunnie


    appears in my vision. I got to get out of here. I try to get up but Daniel is holding me.


    “Let me go, Daniel. Cami needs me.” Brooke appears.


    “Daniel, Sunnie is trying to kill Cami. We have to do something?” She screams.


    Daniel is not bothered. He doesn’t seem to care. “I know I told her to take care of the problem.


    We no longer need her.” He turns quickly to Brooke. “Do as you are told my love or you will be next.”


    “She is pregnant Daniel. She is pregnant with your child! Do you not care?” I ask him.


    He does not respond to me. “Tell me who gave you the tea Izzy?” he asks.


    He is so angry. The chosen ones begin to merge into the small room I am in. I have to get out of


    here and help Cami Dawn. How did she know she would die tonight? The gray-haireddyes to


    me quickly. She runs past Daniel and grabs me. She ces a small bag in my pocket and begins to


    recite a spell in an ancientnguage. I know these words I have heard them before. Daniel is trying to


    grab her but her powers are strong. She keeps chanting until an energy burst pushes me out of the


    room.


    I am standing at the front door. I have to move. My body is being stubborn. Shake it off


    Perdition. I collect my thoughts and start running across the field toward the magnolia trees. I bet they


    have Cami Dawn at the trees. I am running fast. I can hear her more now than before it must be the


    tea. It has to be the tea. I have no idea how to help her. Brooke and Sunnie have her. I am going to kill


    that bitch. The trees are insight. The rows and rows of sunflowers seem longer than before. I have to


    keep going. I aming Cami Dawn do not give up.
