Chapter 869 Divide And Conquer (Part Two)

Chapter 869 Divide And Conquer (Part Two)

Darren remained silent and carefully sized up the man''s aura. He sensed Conrad could match up to the

blue-skinned man''s strength—he needed to buy some time to strike.

Darren tried to size up the resurrected corpse, but he met this task with difficulty.

"I didn''t expect that I could lure you into this ce. It seems there is cause for celebration at the Space-

time Pce," the blue-skinned man cackled. His sinister smile gave away terrible intentions.

It became apparent that the supposed appearance of the holy emperor''s power was a conspiracy

    invented by the Space-time Pce.

Their plot was simple: bait and trap humans and elite beings of other races with the arrays, and then

ughter them. Aside from this, they had also hoped to trap Darren, specifically.

They knew Darren had obtained the item they''ve been scouring after for a long time—the dark-spirit

crystals. News of the holy emperor''s power was the perfect bait for Darren and they intentionally made

    this up to trap him.

The favorable results of their n were stillpletely unexpected on their end. Darren had fallen right

into their hands. This greatly pleased the Space-time Pce.

"You bastard! So you faked the holy emperor''s power to capture me?" Darren asked coldly. Darren

already knew this for a fact. He just needed to stall.

"Fake the holy emperor''s power? Stupid brat. Do you think faking the holy emperor''s power would work

against these old foxes?" the blue-skinned man said scornfully. He seemed defensive.

This answer piqued Darren''s interest. Based on what he said, it seemed that the holy emperor''s power

    could actually exist.

"Don''t y dumb. If you could actually obtain the holy emperor''s powers, why go through all the trouble

of capturing us? If you wielded that kind of power, then we would have been dead by now," Darren

snarled. He knew he could get more information out of the blue-skinned man if he was agitated.

"It''s useless to make inquiries when you''re on the brink of death, measly human. Once I y you and

take the dark-spirit crystals, I will bring about the end of your entire race!" said the blue-skinned man,

grinning. The blue-skinned man then let out a bellowing cackle throughout the space and prepared to

have the corpse man attack Darren.

"Hold your horses!" shouted Darren. "You dumb ass! Do you think I''d be stupid enough to bring

something as important as the dark-spirit crystals with me?" Darren hollered.

"Are all the people from the Space-time Pce as stupid as you? Do you all just carry all your

valuables around so you can show them off everywhere you go? Sounds like something only idiots do,

    really."

The blue-skinned man began to grit his teeth and clench his fists as Darren''smbasting continued.

He was starting to lose it. He tried to hold back for a moment but enough was enough. The man

shouted ferociously, "What are you ying at, boy? Even if what you say is true, I''ll still manage to

squeeze its location out of you."

"That''s rich! To be honest, even I have no idea where they are. I gave the crystals to the Primitive

Emperor. So if you want them, go get them from him! I doubt you''d have the guts, though." Darren was

making all of this up as he spoke, hoping to deceive the blue-skinned man. If he lost interest in Darren,

it would make things much easier for them.

"Who is this Primitive Emperor? I have never heard of such a man. You''d better be telling the truth."

"He''s just an average, normal emperor. It''s no big deal, really. Just find him and take the crystals."

"Shut up, brat! If you humans really had a holy emperor to protect you then you wouldn''t have been

cowering like dogs for as long as you have. Now, enough with this useless chit-chat.

Number 89, y this filth! He''s useless now." Tired of Darren''s drawls, the blue-skinned man ordered

    the corpse man to attack.

The eyes of the corpse man shed with a murderous glint as he stomped towards Darren. You could

hear its quick and staggered breath as it went.

The creature took its time as it lumbered towards Darren. Every step it took shattered and cracked

through the space. It was obvious that it held immense strength.

"This must be some kind of joke. To waste a two-tribtion inferior holy warrior plus its grand master

on some weak human boy? What the hell do they take me for?" grumbled the blue-skinned man.

From the blue-skinned man''s grumble, Darren deduced that the zombie was among the holy warrior

corpses they must have collected and reanimated. This creature in front of him ranked the eighty-ninth,

meaning by strength, and it was at least on par with a mid-level senior holy warrior.

Based on information, the blue-skinned man knew Darren''s strength was limited to ying, at most, an

    ordinary junior holy warrior.

Darren was relieved to hear the blue-skinned man''s mumbles.

Now he knew that the creature was only a two-tribtion inferior holy warrior, which was more or less a

manageable enemy to Darren. Despite the feeling of relief, a gamble was still at hand here. Defeating

an inferior holy warrior who had survived two tribtions would be an easy feat for Darren. On the

other hand, there was a fear that the creature might be of three or four tribtions—crushing any

    chance of escape.

    "Go to hell!"

The corpse man''s cold and merciless eyes met with Darren''s as he muttered in a hoarse voice. It

seemed it was a struggle for him to even cough out the words.

The creature raised his weapon. It was arge de, thick and rust-covered. Arge sh appeared

and a number of electric snakes emerged and quickly sprung towards Darren.

"His de channels powers of the thunder punishment!" Darren felt he underestimated the size of the

corpse man''s strength and the powerful weapon he wielded.

The electric snakes darted towards Darren like hound dogs tracking their prey.

The space began to rumble and shake as the hissing of the snakes filled the air.
