Chapter 868 Divide And Conquer (Part One)

After having stayed for a while, it was time for them to leave.

    They made haste through thend.

They could hear the wind in their ears as they soared through the air at great speed; the mountains in

the distance came rising into view.

They passed many mountains before a feeling of doubt washed over Darren.

"Wait, something doesn''t feel right. We''ve been flying for an hour and the scenery hasn''t changed,"

Darren said, as he stopped and looked down at a deep ravine below them. His eyes widened as he

    realized what was going on.

Everyone also halted mid-flight when they heard Darren speak. As Chandler scanned the area, the

thought hit him as well. They had been flying in circles, and were now right back where they started.

"You''re right. We must have been ced under a powerful space rule array," said Chandler. His voice

cracked as he spoke in despair.

Knowing that they had spent an hour''s journey in vain weighed down on the rest of the party as well. A

look of terror and weariness could be seen across all their faces. None of them had foreseen the

    situation at hand.

Luther scouted the area in an attempt to figure out their current location. He started to get frustrated

after a while, as his efforts were turning up fruitless. There was no ce in sight that seemed even

slightly familiar to them. As far as they could see, all the mountains looked the same. They deduced

that the rule array they were trapped in had also inhibited their spiritual and navigational capabilities.

In ast-ditch effort to escape their current predicament, Luther shot out his sword intent.

He concentrated all of his energy into the sword intent and made a quick sh towards a mountain in

    the distance.

With a great boom, the mountain crumbled into several pieces. It wasn''t just debris that littered the

area, but also tiny hollow space cracks. They seemed to be floating in the middle of the space, and

looked as terrifying and horrific as the throat of a beast that was ready to devour its prey.

Refusing to stop at just one strike, Luther waved his sword in all directions. He felt confident that he

could break through the rule array. The earth around them shook and new hollow cracks began to

appear as his sword intent grew more aggressive.

A sigh of relief came around the party as Luther''s powerful sword intent seemed to be working. Their

themselves in quick speed. After a moment, the space looked as if no damage had evere to it.

"It doesn''t look like physical attacks are going to work here."

Chandler stopped for a moment to assess the situation. It seemed the Space-time Pce had no stops

in making a powerful and inescapable space rule array.

"Then what should we do now?" Darren had a sullen look in his eyes as he asked Chandler.

"It looks like we have no choice but to wait this out," Chandler said curtly.

The Space-time Pce must have noticed their arrival and prepared this borate trap long before

    they fell into it.

Since they had been flying through the space rule array for so long, whoever set the trap must have

been alerted already. Chandler opted to wait and see if the trap-setter would appear before nning

    their next move.

"What if the four-tribtion junior holy warrior shows up? We don''t have much of an upper hand

against him," murmured Leighton. Despite being a senior holy warrior, Leighton looked at Chandler

with furrowed brows and deep worry in his eyes.

The four-tribtion junior holy warrior was a force not to be reckoned with. Despite their numbers, their

victory was still uncertain in a battle against the warrior.

"Fear not! We don''t know for sure if he''s going to show up or not," Chandler said encouragingly. This

was not the time for them to get demotivated.

"We can''t do anything but wait it out and see, then," Leighton muttered.

With nothing else to do, Darren and the party began to meditate mid-air. They blocked out their

surroundings and built up their power—something they knew they would need.

Days passed this way until there was a sudden rumble in the distance.

They all stood up, alerted by the noise. What followed could be danger, but it could also be a chance of

freedom. The party desperately clung to their hopes on thetter. Ripples started to appear in the

space and suddenly it began to shatter like ss. The pieces of the space seemed to shatter and

reform into different shapes in a quick cycle. They were dumbfounded as they watched this cycle

repeat over and over again. It went on for a while until it made a sudden halt.

In horror, the party realized what was going on.

They were close to each other, but could not hear or feel one another. It was as if there was an invisible

nket encasing all of them that prevented any kind of contact.

"Shoot! Not this!" It became clear to Darren that the Space-time Pce was nning to take them out

    one by one.

Suddenly, he heard a cracking noise from above.

He looked up and witnessed a dark figure descending from a hollow chasm in the space. A miasma of

death began to fill the air.

The figure wielded arge de over his shoulder. The man, with his gaunt face and sunken eyes,

seemed to have no spark of life in him. He looked like a creature that crawled up straight from hell.

The look of the man was strangely familiar to Darren. He was reminded of the red-haired creatures in

the realm of the Mythological Pce.

The man was clearly a zombie resurrected by someone to do their evil bidding.

"Measly human boy, you''ve got some guts to show yourself in these parts!"

Just as Darren had expected, the corpse''s master appeared; a man with blue skin stepped out from

behind the undead creature—his gaze at Darren as cold as the color of his skin.
