Chapter 215 Found The Treasure

    Chapter 215 Found The Treasure

Tod and the other spirit maniptorsy sprawled on the ground in a state of bewilderment. They could

clearly see who had snuck up on the voracious Centipede-snake, but thought, ''How on earth could it be

him?'' Tod''s sentiment was the same as the rest of the group: Rocky had seemed to be just a low grade

spirit maniptor. He had no power or presence. He merely followed along.

Just then, Rocky turned to Tod and said, "First, help them get all those poisonous stings out."

Rocky, who had appeared so weak just moments before, was now decisive and direct. A powerful

charisma emanated from his body. He had been fearless in the face of the massive Centipede-snake,

which was easily ten meters high.

This night-and-day personality change took them all by surprise.

Rocky turned and noticed that the Centipede-snake was again about to reap chaos. He knew that he

had critically struck it already - he had even put the Centipede-snake''s venom on his Frozen Wind

Dagger, hoping that it was not immune, fighting fire with fire. He had been partly sessful. It had not

lost its power of action, but the toxic reaction had reduced its strength.

Spiritual light suddenly appeared around Rocky''s body. In a sh, his power climbed to the first grade

of the Earthly Stage. Why did he just not show his full strength - the third grade of the Earthly Stage?

Because he wanted to keep his real power hidden, as a secret weapon, just in case. It seemed the only

viable n to acquire the rare treasures without in-fighting amongst the other spirit maniptors.

When Tod and the other spirit maniptors felt Rocky''s power manifest, their faces appeared dazed

and they rubbed their eyes in shock. They were almost in a stupor in how Rocky had suddenly

changed from a loser to a master in a blink of their eyes.

"It turns out he was a hidden master!" Tod remarked to the others. He had only brought Rocky along

with the group through pity, yet by doing so the decision had saved all of their lives. Else, they would be

as dead as the previous group of spirit maniptors.

Rocky rushed forward armed with his Frozen Wind Dagger and activated his Vast Neb Skill, bringing

even more spiritual power into y. This created a star aura of power swirling around him. His figure

was hard to follow as it was quick as a dancing me and in the blink of an eye he was in front of the

    enraged Centipede-snake.

It responded by standing straight up and shooting out its poisonous stings like a storm, rapidly and

    densely right at him.

Rocky raised his hands saying, "Neb Cloud Transformation…" Suddenly, a hazy nebe glow

    surged forth from his chest.

    Boom! Boom! Boom!

Tod and the others could see the poisonous stings moving with incredible speed throughout the sky.

They zeroed on Rocky but impacted with the star neb glow.

Seeing this, everyone was even more shocked. They would not even have attempted to battle this wild

spirit-manipted beast which was already in the second grade of three stars. The Centipede-snake

waspletely beyond their ability to handle. Generally speaking, even a spirit maniptor in the

Earthly Stage may not be able to handle such a beast. And to see Rocky battling it, with no sign of fear

or trepidation, caused them to admire him not only for his superior strength, but also his amazing

    courage.

While Rocky was fighting with the Centipede-snake, Tod hurried toward the other severely injured spirit

maniptors and removed the poisonous stings from them. Before long, they had recovered enough to

    move themselves.

"Tod, who the hell is this guy?" Archer asked. "He is obviously a master, but why did he hide his power

and juste with us?" The feeling showing in his eyes was no longer contemptuous nor derogatory

but respect. On the other hand, his heart was full of chagrin and fear due to the way that he had treated

    Rocky before.

The other spirit maniptors wondered about who Rocky was as well. Most of them seemed to have

forgotten how poorly they had treated him, internallyughing at him because of his cultivation level

    and ability.

"I have no idea. But it is thanks to him that we have escaped this monster with our lives," Tod stated

    seriously. .

"Tod, while he''s holding off the Centipede-snake, let''s go look for the treasures quickly!" Archer

remarked, with a rather sly expression on his face.

"How can we be so ungrateful?" Tod responded. "He deserves the treasures. He saved our lives!" Tod

was amazed. He never imagined that Archer would be so ruthless.

"You''re right. He has tried to save us. However, if he doesn''t defeat the Centipede-snake, we will still

die. If we leave now, and Rookie dies, only his life will be sacrificed. But if we insist on staying here until

the end, that will put all of our lives at risk. We can''t defeat the Centipede-Snake. The danger is too

great. What do you guys think?" Archer spoke quickly to the group. His n was very logical - and it

did seem that it was for the greater good. It was a thankless job for Rocky, though.

The other spirit maniptors felt a little despicable even considering the n. Rocky had saved their

lives. Yet this was the reality of the situation. In such an emergency, no one cared about morals such

as justice or being kindhearted; every person fought for themselves when it came to fighting spiritual

    beasts or iming treasures.

Archer continued speaking persuasively, "Besides, there is nothing really that we can do if we stay

here. When we find the treasure and the spiritual beast, we can always count him in and set aside a

share for him. I think it''ll be fine." Of course, it was only an excuse. After all, only an idiot would actually

share treasures or spiritual beasts once one had obtained them.

Tod frowned after hearing what Archer said. He looked over at Rocky who was still entangled in a fierce

battle. Tod didn''tck the basic morals of being a human being; he did not want to leave Rocky alone

here. However, he could see that Archer''s rationale made sense. They could do nothing but watch the

battle. They did not have the strength to contribute.

After hesitating for a moment, Tod yelled out to Rocky, "Rookie, we will go on ahead. Don''t worry! If we

find the treasures, we''ll set aside a share for you. If you don''t catch up with us, just wait for us outside

    the Spiritual Fairnd!"

Hearing what Tod said, Rocky froze for just a moment then continued to focus on the Centipede-snake.

Tod still waited for a moment when he saw that Rocky didn''t reply. However, Archer was still pushing to

leave. Finally, he made up his mind and led Archer and the other spirit maniptors go on their way,

continuing in the direction that the light had shone.

After Rocky saw the rest of the group leave, he cast a nce at the Centipede-snake and whispered

with a chilling smile on his face, "Let the games begin." Abruptly, he turned and suddenly rushed in the

    same direction.

Seeing Rocky''s attempt to escape, the Centipede-snake gave a shriek. It shook out its long and thick

body and rushed right after him. Everything in its path was knocked down, as if a heavy tank had

    steamrolled right through.

Simultaneously, where the light shone, in the center of the Spiritual Fairnd, there were already seven

or eight teams of spirit maniptors gathering. Among them, there were two that had been sent by the

Crimson Dragon Group. Obviously, they were a step above the strength of the other teams.

Apart from them, the cultivation of the strongest person in all of the other teams was at the first grade of

the Earthly Stage. He had red hair - and Rocky would recognize him, especially since he had framed

him when the red haired man had snuck up on the northeast military camp outpost with a team of

    mercenaries.

At this very moment, at the top of the cliff in front of every spirit maniptor''s eyes, there was

something special. It sprayed colored light. In size, it was half the length of a man''s arm. What was

more amazing, was that it was shaped like a lotus flower and wasyered. This rare treasure was like a

pool of beautiful flowers in a fountain. However, the most attractive thing was not the colored light, nor

the amazing shape, but the strong spiritual power which emanated from it.
