Chapter 1631 Confronting The Dead Men (Part Two)
After a while, the whole tombstone exploded.
Large chunks of it rained down from the sky and fell into the depths of the cliff.
"Bang!"
After the dust had cleared, a huge hole appeared where the tombstone had been. Freezing air was
wafting out of it and hitting Austin in the face. His nose wrinkled as the smell of death washed over him
once more.
The old man jumped into the air, performed an ted dance, and dashed into the entrance of the cave.
Austin watched his figure disappear in the darkness. The ce was eerie and from what the old man
had told him, dangerous. He debated whether it was worth finding out what was at the end. After
struggling for a while, Austin went into the cave too.
At the same time, miles away, a multitude of people were still gathered around a valley where a one-
hundred-meter tomb stood.
shes and waves of vital energy and magic treasures swept towards the tomb. Each of the people
moved in synchronization, trying to break the arrays which prevented them from entering the tomb.
The entire tomb shook dramatically as if earthquake had struck.
Smiles spread on the peoples'' faces. The tomb was the only one out of eighty one that they hadn''t
managed to enter yet, and they were moments away from bursting it open.
The people around the gorge were the top cultivators from different sects and ns of the East
Maind. They joined hands andunched their best skills to break the arrays around it.
Deep cracks split the entrance of the tomb and a dark, cold aura seeped from the cracks. The sky
above their heads began to turn a misty ck color.
Gradually, sound began toe out of the depths of the tomb. As it grew closer and louder. They could
make out the thunder of horses hooves and battle-shouts of soldiers.
"Attention, everyone! The tomb is going to explode and those hideous evil things inside it areing
out for us.
They are here to protect the tomb and the treasure inside. We need to work together to kill these evil
things so we can get inside,"
one of the strong cultivators shouted.
"Boom!"
As soon as the words had left his mouth, the door of the tomb blew off.
There was now a gaping hole in the entrance of the tomb and every cultivator stared at it, waiting for
the evil things to appear.
In the cultivator''s silence, the noise of the evil things grew louder. The ground at their feet had begun
trembling and roaring. .
A secondter, hundreds of soldiers spilled out of the entrance and onto the ground in front of them.
Some people reacted quick and leapt aside to avoid being trampled.
The soldiers were all dead and were also riding on top of huge, dead beasts. Each had a spear or
trident in their hand and they were dressed in armor, covering their identities. The only part those
cultivators could see were these dead riders'' angry, red eyes.
"Oh, jesus! Why are there so many dead men and dead beasts? "
another cultivator eximed in shock. They had dealt with these horrible things before when they tried
to break into the previous eighty tombs. However, never once had they thought that they would
encounter so many more dead riders in thest one.
Within seconds, a few thousand dead people and dead beasts had escaped from the tomb. The sky
was darker than before and many of the soldiers were beginning to reach the end of the gorge and
circle back. More shouts were heard from inside the tomb, followed by more dead men and beasts
exiting the entrance.
"There are so many of them, and they are difficult to kill. What should we do?" one of the cultivators
said worriedly.
They all exchanged looks but it seemed that none of them knew what to do.
Among the dead men and dead beasts, hundreds of strong creatures covered in long, ck hair
emerged from the tomb. The ground shook at their feet as they walked into the gorge.
asionally, one of them would look up at the sky and roar.
Meanwhile, on the ground, ck crows popped out of the soil like dying flowers and took off into the
dark sky.

As they looked down on the scene, the cultivators noticed that the crows had human faces. The sight
turned their stomachs.
The putrid smell of the death seeped from the tomb and filled the air. Dark clouds gathered against the
ck sky and the crows cawed loudly.
The dead men yelled and the beasts growled, shaking the earth at their feet.
Terrified, the cultivators moved closer together, forming a circle of safety from the evil things. One of
them stepped forward and turned to face the group.
"Come on, guys. Let''s send all of these dead things back to the grave!
This has to be Purple Immortal''s tomb. We can''t give up now," he encouraged.
The rest exchanged nces at one another and nodded their heads, agreeing with what the cultivator
had said. They formed a couple lines and charged at the dead men, crows with human faces, and
human-shaped creatures.
When they met, awful screams could be heard ripping through the air. Weapons shed against vital
energy and bodies fell and rose.
Meanwhile, Austin and the old man walked along a dark and musty passage in the ground. The old
man led the way, holding antern in front of him.
The passage was dark and long but luckily, the two of them hadn''t gotten into any trouble. They
appeared to be alone and Austin once again began wondering why the old man had said this would be
dangerous.
After they walked for several more minutes, a stone door appeared out of nowhere and blocked their
path.
The old man stopped so abruptly that Austin nearly ran into him. They both examined the stone door.
"Where are we now, old man?" Austin asked curiously.
His voice echoed through the small space.
"Purple Immortal''s tomb is in front of us,"
the old man replied, giving Austin arge smile.
''No way!'' Austin thought. His mouth had fallen agape in surprise.
He took a closer look at the man to see whether he was joking and almost jumped in shock when he
realized the old man wasn''t at all.
