Chapter 36- Amara


    Steven had got us business ss tickets. Thank the heavens for that. Cassidy and Grayson on the


    other hand couldn’t get them on the time and were in the premium economy ss. We boarded the


    ne and I made myselffortable on my seat. Steven was sitting right beside me. Austin and Aaron


    were in the seat behind us. I stretched the seat for sleeping and curled up on it immediately after we


    were allowed to take our seat belts off. Steven woke me up when the flight attendant brought us our


    breakfast. I gobbled everything in a record time and went back to sleep. I wanted to smack Steven so


    bad forughing at me but I controlled myself and turned away from him. I am so not talking to him…


    for now. Steven woke me up for lunch and I groggily ate everything up.


    “Did I wear you out too muchst night love?” Steven whispered in my ears when I was about to go


    back to sleep making me blush.


    I didn’t reply to him and closed my eyes. I woke up around quarter to six fully rested.


    “Feeling better?” Steven asked me.


    I nodded and got up to freshen up in the washroom. Thank the heavens I had packed a pair of jeans


    and a blouse in my duffel bag with some essentials. I went in the washroom and changed into the


    clothes. I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I pulled my hair in a pony tail and exited the


    washroom after stuffing my things in the bag, only to bump into a hard chest.


    “I am sorry.” I apologized to the person who I crashed into.


    He looked a little older than me. Okay a lot older than me. Maybe in histe twenties or early thirties.


    He is hot though but he has nothing on my mate. Ohh that sounds good. My mate.


    “It’s okay darling.” He slurred seductively.


    I almost nched at him but controlled myself. I smiled at him and was about to go back to my seat


    when extended his hand to introduce himself.


    “Michael Rodriguez”


    “Amara Cross.” I said shaking his hand.


    He didn’t let go though. He was stroking my hand with his thumb, smirking at me. I pulled my hand


    quite forcefully. His touch made me feel nauseated. He was surprised by my sudden disy of

    strength. He was standing in my way though. I was about to tell him to move his ass off of my way


    when I saw Steven stomping his way towards us. I didn’t knew if I shouldugh or be thankful to him.


    He looked so sexy like that. He put his arm around the prick and pulled me towards him, ring


    murderously towards Michael. Michael shrugged and went in the washroom. Steven practically


    dragged me back to our seats and put the duffel bag in the luggage carrier. I was about to make myself


    crook of my neck, making me shudder. The mark was still fresh after all. I pecked him to calm him


    down.


    I can hear Austin and Aaron trying to control theirughter from the seat behind us. Rest of the flight


    went like that. Steven was ring at the air hostess’s back when she told me take my seat and buckle


    up for thending. Poor women scuried away quite fast from our seats. The three of us wereughing


    at Steven non stop making him more mad. We boarded two taxies to Greycoast with Cassidy, Grayson


    and Aaron in one and the three of us in the other. An hour driveter we were inside the borders of


    Greycoast. I felt Steven and Austin stiffen. At half past eight we reached near the pack settlement. The


    taxies dropped us on the main road. We can’t take strangers inside. Leo, Alec and the twins were


    already standing there waiting for us.


    Aaron ran towards Carter as soon the taxies stopped. They started making out quite passionately. They


    haven’t seen each other for months after all. Alec came running towards me and crushed me in a hug.


    Steven pulled me away from him and hissed at him menacingly. Caleb replied him with a growl. Steven


    stood there confused. I just couldn’t stop myself fromughing.


    “Steven, Austin, this is my twin brother, Alec.” I introduced him in between myughs. “That’s his mate


    Caleb.” Then I motioned towards Leo. “This is our alpha, Leorio and that is Carter, Aaron’s mate.”


    He looked quite embarrassed while Alec was ring at him. I hugged Leo who looked quite amused at


    Steven’s behavior.


    “What is taking you people so long?” Alex’s voice came from behind Leo.


    I threw myself in his arms as soon as he came into view making Steven growl. Austin wasughing his


    ass off behind him. Leo nodded at Cassidy and Grayson which they returned.


    “How are you kid?” Alex asked twirling me in circle and put me down on my feet.


    Hepletely ignored Steven’s hissing self.


    “I am good.” I replied grinning at him.


    Just on the cue my stomach grumbled making him shake his head amused.


    “Lets go. We are having a pack dinner out side.” He said pulling me towards the houses.


    But Steven pulled me out of his arms and wrapped his arms around me possessively. Alex gave him a


    once over, his eyesnded on his neck and then mine. He looked at me with his eyebrows raised. I


    grinned at him making him shake his head in amusement. We made our way towards the houses with


    the males carrying the luggage. Steven still wouldn’t let me go.


    After walking for a while, reached the small clearing with the houses. The clearing wasn’t dark though.


    It was lit up with the fluorescents and five tables were pressed against each other making a huge dining


    table. Mathew and his mate, Abigail were pulling a white table cloth on the tables. Ryan and Stan were


    arranging the chairs. The others were bringing out mounds and mounds of dishes and cing them on


    the table. Austin and Steven were looking around with their mouth hanging open while Cassidy and


    Grayson looked around in wonder. Oliver came bounding towards me and scooped me in his arms,


    snapping Steven out of his trance.


    After introducing my new group to everyone we took a seat and started piling our tes with food. I still


    have to introduce Steven, Austin , Cassidy and Grayson to them. I just did the introduction one way.


    Asher and his parents were sitting on the opposite side of the Alpha and Luna’s seat, that is on the very


    far corner. Leo’s parents were sitting right beside him just like everyone else’s. I was sitting in the


    middle with Steven and Austin while Cassidy and Grayson sat opposite us. Yup we are arge party.


    After everyone was settled, Leo told me to introduce the new additions.


    “This is Cassidy and Grayson. They are a witch and warlock as you already know.” I said motioning


    towards them. They got up and nodded at everyone. “This is Austin. He is a vampire and a very good


    friend of ours.” I said pointing towards Austin who got up and nodded towards everyone grinning may I


    add. I pointed towards Steven who got up after Austin sat down. “And this is Steven. He is also a


    vampire. He is my mate.”


    There was pin drop silence for a second while Steven shuffled nervously beside me. I could feel him


    getting anxious through our bond. I squeezed his hand to calm him down. A cheer of ‘congrattions’


    broke throughout the table making me rx. I felt Steven rx too. A growl broke through our


    happiness as Asher abruptly got up.
