Chapter 31- Amara


    After some time he pulled away and looked straight in my eyes. His arms were still around me. His


    eyes were back to his beautiful green self. He was looking at me with so much love that I wanted to


    hide myself away.


    “You never seem to amaze me.” he said to me smiling.


    I grinned at him and tried to get up but he won’t let go.


    “Do you mind?” I asked gesturing towards him arms.


    He got up with me in tow. He just wouldn’t let me go. He ced his arms loosely over my waist and


    looked at Cassidy with shame in his eyes. I didn’t even notice when the force field was taken down.


    Cassidy didn’t even pay him the slightest attention. She was gaping at me in wonder and a little under


    tone of irritation. Grayson on the other hand was ring Steven down. I think I did something again. I


    chuckled nervously.


    “H…How?” She managed to say.


    “What are you talking about?” I asked nervously shifting from foot to foot.


    Austin was no different than Cassidy. Grayson was more focused on Steven but it felt like he was doing


    it on purpose. Aaron on the other hand looked amused.


    “How the heck did you pass through the force field?” She more like screeched.


    Her emotions had drastically shifted to irritation. Steven hissed lowly in his throat but she ignored him


    “I don’t know?” I replied more like a question.


    “Let it be. What is going on between you two?” She asked narrowing her eyes.


    Steven pulled me possessively towards him. Even I don’t know what is going on in between us.


    “We are dating.” Steven replied to her but she red him down.


    It’s wonderful to see how a big bad vampire bes a nervous wreck in front of thisdy.


    “Dating you say? This does not look like dating to me. You were acting like someone tried to steal your


    mate.” Cassidy snapped back.


    Yeah I want to know about that too.


    “I don’t know what took over me either. When Aaron said he will take her away, I just lost control.” He


    gritted out. “I don’t like the idea of her going away from me. She is mine.”


    I felt like a property in that moment. I can’t understand his behavior. He was acting like a mate acts


    towards theirs. He is possessive over my freaking ass. Even more possessive than Asher. The only


    person hees close to in thispetition is Ryder and papa. No one canpare to their level of


    possessiveness though.


    “He was just asking to borrow me for like a chat or something. I live there Steven I have to go to my


    apartment at some point.” I tried to reason with him.


    I meane on.


    “You can live with me.” he argued back.


    “No I can’t. I live there and I am going to live there. You have no say in that. We just started dating. I am


    not moving in with you dude. Come on.” I snapped.


    “Are you leaving me?” he looked so vulnerable.


    “I am not leaving you. I am just going to my ce to spend some time with my best friend. Besides I


    live there so I am just going home like a normal person would. That’s not a big deal.” I reasoned with


    him.


    “But he is a guy.” He argued.


    “And he likes dicks which I clearly don’t possess. Why are we even talking about this anyways? What


    has gotten into you?” I asked.


    “You are not leaving me?” he asked expectantly.


    “No. I am just going to my apartment.”


    I was getting irritated with every passing second. Why does every man in my life have to be overly


    possessive like I am some china doll and can’t take care of myself?


    “You will be back then.”


    I nodded.


    “Kay.” He said half heartedly.


    Why the hell does it hurt to see him like that?


    “Oh my goodness! What the hell did you do to him?” Cassidy shrieked.


    She is shrieking a lottely. I was quite offended by her question though.


    “I didn’t do anything to him. I just healed him.” I replied hurt at her usation.


    “He is back to normal.” Austin said awe struck.


    “What do you mean by that?” I asked confused.


    “He is showing emotions. He hasn’t done that since…” He trailed on.


    “That’s a good thing right?” I was getting confused more and more.


    “Off course it’s a good thing.” Cassidy snapped.


    Steven red at her.


    “What the heck is your problem? Are you not happy that he is healed? I am a healer. That’s what I do. I


    heal people.” I replied quite snappily.


    “I am happy that he is getting better. I tried everything I can but that never worked. I am mad because I


    can’t figure out what you are and I am sure as hell you are not just any other healer. They are already


    very scarce toe by and here you are doing things without breaking any sweat what I worked to


    achieve for ages. Do you have any idea you just broke through my most powerful force field.” Cassidy


    said sulkily.


    Grayson chuckled behind her but covered it in a cough when she red at him.


    “I don’t care what I am and neither does my pack. Besides that’s not the first force field I entered.


    Maybe it’s because of papa.” I told her.


    “Which force field did you enter?” She asked her eye twitching madly. “I can’t read your mind anymore.

    She is really starting to scare me. Grayson tried to stop her advancing towards me but she shrugged


    him off.


    “I am not telling you that.” I told her with finality.


    It’s my family secret. No way in the hell am I telling anyone that.


    “Tell me.” she said taking a hold of me and shaking me wildly.


    She looked to have lost her mind. Even Steven couldn’t pry her off of me. She was really getting on my


    nerve. I don’t know what happened next but something took over my body. The golden light from the


    clearing was back and it was surrounding my body like earlier. It wasing from inside me. One


    moment Cassidy was shaking me wildly and the next moment I was holding her up by her neck but my


    body wasn’t in my control.
