Chapter 10
Amelia''s POV
He was here. Everyone stood there frozen. I knew he was here. Not knowing what to do I quickly hide
behind Jason. "What are you doing Amelia?"
"Shh. I will tell youter. Just hide." I said. He muttered an "ok" . That''s when I realise he can smell me.
I took out my perfume from my bag and spray it all around me.
Both Avery and Jason arched their eyebrows at me. When the both of looked on the front, everything
made sense to them. Without saying anything, they stood still.
I felt him walk pass us. But for a minute he stood still. I was scared he found me, when he started
walking again. I let out a relieve sigh and we quickly went to the car and drove off from there.
"That was close." I said taking in a deep sigh. "What was that about?" Avery asked me. "I am trying to
avoid him." I said. They nod their head in understanding.
They drove me back to the pce and dropped me off outside. I was still eating my ice cream when I
went in. Avery was right. The ice cream was so nice at the mall.
I was walking up the stairs to my room, when I bumped into someone. I looked up to be shocked. It
was him. He was looking down at me.
I gulped with the spoon in my mouth. He was staring down at me as if I was a deer. I started to fidget in
the same spot.
Not knowing what to do, I quickly ran past him up the stairs and ran straight to my room. I closed my
door lean against it. I just realised that the spoon was still in mouth and took it out.
I ced the melted ice cream in the side table and tried to calm my breathing. Whenever I am around,
my stomach have butterflies and my heart have weird knots.
I know I like him. Even after everything, my heard still yearns for him. Curse the stupid mate bond. I
thought as I sighed.
My phone suddenly rang making me squeal. When I realised it was my phone, I picked it up. It was
Avery. I answered it.
"Hi. what''s up?" I asked plopping down in my bed before putting down the phone. "Well we were
wondering if you wanted to have a sleep over with us." she asked me with so much hope.
"I don''t think so. With the whole witch thing, I am not sure." I said with uncertainty. I don''t want to be
having fun with them, when my mate is going into a literal battle.
I heard her sigh. "That''s exactly why you need this. To take your mind off things. Pleasee on." she
pleaded me. "Let me ask my brother and call you back." "Okie."
'' Nathan." I mind linked him. ''What is it?'' ''My friends from college asked if I cane over for
sleepover.'' ''Amelia, I don''t know. With the whole witch thing, I don''t thinks its safe.'' he said sighing.
''Please.'' I pleaded him. ''Can you ask them toe over instead? Its safer.'' he said making me wonder.
Its still sleepover and safer. ''I''ll ask and see. Thank you'' I squeal at thest part.
''No problem'' he said cutting of the link. I called back Avery. "Avery my brother said its not safe. Would
you like toe over instead?" I asked her hoping she doesn''t get mad.
"You want us toe over to the pce?" she asked surprised. "Yap." "Yes. Wow, I never imagine
I chuckled and hung up. I should probably shower before theye. I went for a quick shower and
wear my white ripped shorts and grey oversized to shirt.
I had messaged Avery to text me once they are here. I thought of doing some of the homework before
theye and started on them. I saw outside my window to see him training along with others.
He was training with Nathan. Both of them fight each other, throwing and punching each other like it
was nothing. I smiled at that. Both of them don''t like losing to each other.
My brother has ego so high up the sky. Xavier, well he is an Alpha. With one swift move Xavier pinned
my brother down. Without intending I started to p my hands.
I saw him turning towards me and quickly hide. That was so close. He would have almost catch me
staring at the fight. Just then my phone pinged.
I saw that it was Avery. She has texted me saying she was here. I put my phone in the back pocket and
went to look for them.
I took the lift down and saw a guard bringing them in. Upon seeing me the guard stopped. "Luna, they
said they are here to see you."
"Yes they are. Thank you bringing them in." I said as I smiled. He nodded his head and left. "Gosh the
ce is huge." Jason said whistling. Iughed at him. I looped my hands with theirs and dragged them.
I felt someone staring at me. I turn around but saw no one. I shrugged it off and dragged them to my
room. All the while, Jason kept making funnyments about the ce, making Avery and meugh.
Upon reaching my room, Avery squealed. "Your room is huge." she said with big eyes. Iughed at
that. "You should see my brother''s Chamber." I said remembering my first time there. I had the same
expression.
"Ok what shall we do?" I asked them. "Lets Binge watch movies. Do you guys have anything in mind."
Jason asked.
"Lets watch Harry Potter." I squealed. "We have a Harry Potter geek." Avery said chuckling. I stuck my
tongue at her. Both of them started chuckling again.
"Harry Potter it is then." Avery said as she switched on the tv. "I''ll get the snacks." I said walking out the
doors. I went to the kitchen as I saw the maids there. "Is there anything we can get for you, Luna?" one
of them asked.
"I don''t want to bother y''all. I''ll get it myself. May I just know where can I get snacks?" I asked her
kindly. She pointed inside as I said thanks and went there.

I took some popcorns, chips and choctes. I also got some soft drinks. I carried them going to the lift.
As I was about to go into the lift, one of the chips packet fell.
I pouted looking at it. There is no way I can take it having all of these in my hands. Just then someone
came and picked it up. It was a boy who looked to be about 19 or 20.
He looked at me and chuckled. "Do you need any help with those?" he asked me pointing to the food in
my hand. I smiled sheepishly and nodded my head.
He took the soft drinks and we both got into the lift. "What''s with snacks? I don''t think such a small
person like you can eat all of this."
"Oh I am having a sleepover with some of my friends. We were going to watch movies. So that''s why
this snacks." I exined.
He nodded his head. Once reaching the floor we both got out. I learned his name is Noah and that he
is a pack warrior. They have been training hard for the battle.
He also said that Alpha King, is someone everyone looked up to. He is very much ready and that they
were definitely going to win the battle.
Hearing this, ease me a bit, but yet I was still worried. I sighed as we walked into my room. Avery and
Jason were kissing when I squealed and turn back.
So did Noah. "Are you guys, er, better?" I asked the shyly. "You guys can turn around. We weren''t
doing anything wrong. Just kissing." Avery said nonchntly.
Carefully Noah and I turn. Both of them rolled their eyes. "Guys this is Noah. He is one of the pack
warriors. He helped me carry the snacks." I said introducing Noah.
"Noah, this Avery and Jason." I introduced them to Noah. They smiled at each other. "Hi." Jason giving
him one of those bro hugs. Avery waved him a hi.
After cing the drinks down, "Alright I''ll leave you guys to it. It was good seeing you Luna." he said
smiling at me.
"Its Amelia." I said smiling back. He was about to go, when I stopped him. "Hey, if you are free, you can
joins us." I offered him.
"Well I just finished my patrol shift. I will only need to go back tomorrow morning. So yeah I am. Let me
just get freshen up. If that''s ok with your friends?"
I looked back at Avery and Jason. "Its alright man. The more, the merrier." Jason saidzily. We
