Chapter 9


    Amelia''s POV


    I jolt wake up from the thunder sound. I look around and saw I was in bed. I touched at my neck and it


    sting a bit. It must have been only hours.


    I looked at my side table and saw that it was 2 am. I heard another thunder and screamed slightly. I


    was sweating slightly. I decided to take wash my face and to the bathroom.

    I looked at mirror wear the mark. I can see a tattoo forming. By tomorrow, the mark would have healed


    and the pack symbol would have formed Just like Ang''s.


    After washing my face, I went back to sleep. I felt slightly weak. Just then I heard the door knock. Who


    will be knocking at 2 am? I was feeling slightly weak hence unable to use my smelling sense.


    I went to open the door only to get shocked. It was him. He was standing there, ring at me. If looks


    could kill, I would be 6 feet under already. He took predatory steps inside.


    "I came here to tell you one thing. Just because I have marked you doesn''t mean I like you or want


    you, There is nothing between us. You understand little one?" he asked in a calm yet threatening tone.


    I stood there rooted to the floor. He wasrgepared to me. His frame towering over me.


    "UNDERSTAND?" he whispered yelled. I nodded my head frantically.


    He turned on his heels and went out the door mming it. I fall down to the floor crying. His words were


    like daggers to my heart.


    I didn''t know how long I was in the floor, but I passed out crying.


    *The next morning*


    I woke up to the same body aches and realised I fell asleep crying. Again. I sighed and decided to take


    a shower. I stayed in the shower thinking about everything.


    A part of me hopes one day, we''ll be better. I am seriously scared about him going to the war. I know he


    is strong and all.


    But they are going to be dealing with magic. Dark magic. Its not easy to win dark magic. The witches


    fight cunningly. They''ll do anything to win.


    So will Xavier. I have heard stories about him. He maybe ruthless and merciless hence will do anything


    in his power to win. Power against power.


    I sighed and got out of the shower and dried myself. I put on a baby blue jeans and white t shirt and got


    my bag pack. I put in my books and homework and walked out of my room.


    ''I am going college." I mind-linked Nathan. He immediately responded. ''What? Why? Your coronation


    finished yesterday only.''


    ''You said I can go back once coronation is over.'' I heard him sigh. ''Alright wait for me." ''Okie.'' I said


    turning off the mindlink.


    I waited for him at the lift in his floor. "Amelia, how are you feeling now?" Nathan asked hugging me.


    "Better." I smiled at him. "You sure?" he asked me suspiciously.


    "Yes. Nowe on. I am going to bete." I said dragging him. We quickly got onto his truck. I looked


    at the field looking for Xavier, but I couldn''t spot him.


    With a frown, I looked away as Nathan started to drive. I thought of asking Nathan for something.


    "Nathan, can I ask you something?"


    "Sure baby sis. What is it?" he said looking forward. "Can you teach me how to drive? Please." I said


    giving him the best puppy face.


    "Ok, I will. Don''t make that face." he said chuckling. "Thank you so much." I said giving him a side hug.


    We continued talking when I had a question.


    "Nathan, what happened to the previous Luna Queen? I know what happen to the previous Alpha King.


    But I have no idea what happened to previous Luna Queen."


    He stiffen at my words. He took a deep sigh before talking. "She isted herself. After her mate died,


    she couldn''t take the pain. So she isted herself from everyone." he said making me sad.


    "Where is she now?" "She lives all by herself in the east wing. No one is allowed to go there. The


    garden that is on the backyard. It was nted by herself." he said smiling.


    I just nodded my head. Soon we reached. I said bye to Nathan and went inside. The moment I went


    inside, half the school stopped talking.


    They were looking at me intently. That''s when I realised they were the werewolves. They were trying to


    bow their head without the humans knowing.


    I smiled at them and mouth its ok. I don''t want the humans finding it weird. I went to my locker and put


    away some of my books.


    "Why didn''t you tell us?" I heard someone asked. I turn around and realise it was Avery and Jason. I


    sighed before locking my locker.


    "I was not allowed to tell anyone before coronation day. Not only that, I thought you guys wouldn''t


    believe me." I whispered to them.


    "What? Of course we would believe you. We are your friends." Jason said in a ''duh'' tone. "I know and I


    am so sorry. I promise, I wont keep anymore secrets from you." I said smiling at them.


    We took our seats, The professor has yet toe, so everyone were in their own conversation. "So


    what is it like mated to the Alpha King?" Avery asked wiggling her eyes,


    I instantly became sad. "Hey what happen?" Jason asked worried. I shook my head stating it was


    nothing. But they were not having it,


    "Come on. You just promised no more secrets." Avery said. With a big sigh I told them everything.


    Leaving out the yesterday night incident.


    When I finished telling, the professor came as I left them with wide open mouth. The entire lesson, they


    looked at my with shock.


    Once the lesson was over, the dragged me to the side. "Wait everything you said, was it real?" Avery


    asked with shock. I sadly nodded my head.


    Both of them pulled me in for a hug. I was shocked at first but still hugged them back. After sometime


    we pulled away from the group hug.


    "I am so sorry Amelia." Avery said with a sad smile. "Its ok. Its not your fault." I said. We started walking


    towards the cafeteria for lunch.


    We brought our food and went to seat down. I grabbed my sandwich and started to eat. "Hey shall we


    go somewhere after sses. Ourst period is free anyway." Jason said gaining our attention.


    "Sure, Where?" Avery asked. "Well let our Luna choose shall we?" Jason asked. I started thinking.


    Suddenly I got an idea.


    "Lets go for ice cream." I said excitedly. Both of them startedughing. "Now, I didn''t know our cute


    Luna Queen loved ice cream." Jason said pinching me. Avery started pinching my cheeks too.


    I swatted their hands away. We ate our food and went to our ss. All three of us excited for after


    college.


    Once the bell rang, stating ourst ss was over, we made our way to their car as they drove to the


    mall. It was inside the pack territory so no humans were there.


    Once we reached the mall, we parked the car and got out. Avery was telling about this ice cream


    parlour. I was so excited to have ice cream.


    Upon reaching the mall, we went straight to the ice cream parlour. As we went inside, everyone turn to


    look at us. Once they realise its me, they bow their head.


    I smiled at them sheepishly, and asked them to continue what they were doing. Jason insisted that we


    cut the cue since I was the Luna.


    I sternly said no. I wont abuse my power. We lined in the cue. Avery and Jason went first. After they


    were done it was my turn.


    A boy who looked a bit older then me took my order. "What would you like Luna?" he asked me.


    "Please, its Amelia. Can I have three scoops of Butterscotch please."


    I probably looked like a kid looking at candies, but I seriously didn''t care. He chuckled at me behaviour


    getting my ice cream.


    "Here you go Amelia." he said smiling at me. I took the ice cream and spoon, Once paying for our ice


    cream, we took a seat in one of the table.


    We wereughing and smiling till we finished our ice cream. As we were about to go, the boy from just


    now came to me. "Amelia wait." he stopped.


    He hold onto a cup of butterscotch ice cream And there was 5 scoops. My mouth watered looking at it.


    He chuckled at me again.


    He passed me the ice cream. I looked at him confused. "Its on the house. Please take it." he said


    giving it to me. I smiled and took it.


    "Thank you?" I said not knowing his name. "Its Nick. Nichs." he said smiling. "Thank you Nichs," I


    said as I waved bye.


    The moment I stepped outside, I smelt him, Xavier.
