“Did you make a breakthrough with Chilled Ligament Ghost Valley already?!” Radix was stunned. He looked incredulously at Xia Fei as he yelled, “This is insane. YOU’RE insane! Did you really just let a hundred standard units of spirit energy course through your body in one go?! How did you even withstand it?!”
Radix could not make sense of it. He could not imagine how Xia Fei had just withstood a hundred standard units of spirit energy!
Xia Fei did not celebrate or show any emotion at all. All he did was stare at his spatial ring Peak Rainbow with a strange look in his eyes.
With a whoosh, Chu Jingfeng and Xu Luanbu came rushing over after hearing themotion, asking what had happened.
Anyone would find it incredible if they heard about how Xia Fei had used his spirit energy on his own body. After all, it was a type of energy that was used to kill people’s souls. No matter if the target was a god or a ghost, a single punch with spirit energy could be lethal! !!
Chu Jingfeng and Xu Luanbu knew just how powerful spirit energy was, which was why they were worried about Xia Fei employing such an extreme cultivation method. They even tried to dissuade Xia Fei from cultivating such a crazy body technique.
Unfortunately for them, not even God Almighty could change Xia Fei’s mind after he had set it. No matter that the pair persisted until they were parched, Xia Fei ignored them. A believer in the price theory like Xia Fei did not care for all that. For the sake of going past his limits, Xia Fei was willing to pay the price necessary!
Faced with Chu Jingfeng and all their questions, Xia Fei answered, “Just now I did indeed identally let loose arge amount of spirit energy in my body, it was not done intentionally. Rather, it was because I noticed some changes inside my spatial ring, and in my panic, it caused me to temporarily lose control of my spirit energy.”
Xu Luanbu asked hastily, “Then that sound we just heard, was it actually you achieving the first tier of Chilled Ligament Ghost Valley?”
“Yes!” Xia Fei nodded. “In about a hundred-thousandth of a second, I did indeed send a hundred standard units of spirit energy into my body, but I very quickly retracted it. Even though I did not think of it, my body apparently can withstand such an amount of spirit energy!”
Xu Luanbu wrinkled his forehead and was disgruntled, “Oh, are you bragging? Only you speedsters could attain such a crazy speed that you can send your spirit energy out for a hundred-thousandth of a second and retract it again!”
He thought Xia Fei was bragging. Due to the fact that Xia Fei had mastered the Law of Speed, not only was he quick, his control of spirit energy had also be a lot faster! That was definitely something no normal warrior could achieve, and was why Xu Luanbu felt so unhappy. Speedsters like Xia Fei were really just too much!
Conversely, it was Radix and Chu Jingfeng who were cheering, with thetter widening his eyes in disbelief. “Xia Fei, that’s the shortcut to cultivating Chilled Ligament Ghost Valley! I’m afraid even the ancestral elders of the Unrestricted Sect had not thought of that, and only someone like you, who has mastered both Speed and possesses the Unrestricted Soul Spirit Mark, would think of it!”
Radix also added, “That’s right! Using your superior speed, you’re able to rapidly extend and retract your spirit energy. Right now, you’re able to withstand it for a hundred-thousandth of a second. In the future, you’ll be able to endure it for an entire minute, and end up cultivating the strongest body technique!”
Xia Fei heaved a sigh. Just now he had unleashed a huge amount of spirit energy into his bodypletely unconsciously. That had indeed been very dangerous, but it was also because of the incident that he managed to grasp this unparalleled technique from the Unrestricted Sect!
Truly, Speed was king!
Why should he cultivate in ordance with what his ancestors of the Unrestricted Sect had stated? No matter how strong they were, they were not speedsters!
That was when Xu Luanbu asked, “Then, what was the reason that you suddenly panicked?”
Xia Fei pointed to his spatial ring. “Because of this. Everyone here knows that a spatial ring is linked to one’s consciousness, and so opening, closing, and retrieving something can all be done with a thought. That is why if something happens inside, I am able to immediately sense any changes that ur.”
Chu Jingfeng shook his head. “That’s impossible! Spatial rings are stable connections to an empty space, and the stability is absolute. Otherwise, it would not have been made into a ring. You must have been confused while you were cultivating.”
Xu Luanbu and Radix also expressed their disbelief. The forging of a spatial ring meant the artificer needed to search for a piece of stable, hidden space in the universe. Afterward, they would use the Law of Space to construct a channel to that space, linking the ring to the space and thuspleting the spatial ring.
Any artificer of spatial rings would consider the stability of the hidden space to be of the utmost priority. An unstable space, no matter howrge they were, would be useless. After all, people used these rings to store their treasures and assets inside. If the space was unstable, it could render the person bankrupt! Worse, if the space itself turned chaotic, it could even be fatal!
Long ago, artificers had indeed run into some minor problems when forging spatial rings, but after all these years, the process of making the rings had already matured into this familiar regtion, and there were no longer any sort of problems nowadays. Thus, when Xia Fei said that he sensed some changes urring inside his spatial ring, no one believed him.
Peak Rainbow was an extrarge spatial ring with a million cubic meters in storage space. There was no way it could have been created without a powerful cultivation, and it was impossible for such a well-versed master in the field to make such a mistake!
Xia Fei’s expression was grim. He used his consciousness to sift through the space once more and said, “There’s nothing wrong with the space itself, but something happened to the things inside. It’s up to you whether you believe me or not.”
With that said, Xia Fei waved his hand and brushed it over his ring.
They watched as Xia Fei took out a monster from his spatial ring with a popping, instantly giving a fright to Chu Jingfeng and the others!
It really was a monster. It looked like a giant cactus, and every sharp spine had a single white pearl stuck on its end.
“This is…?” Chu Jingfeng asked, curious.
“That strange cactus that lived underwater that Old Ye found for me. It was this thing that suddenly broke through its botanical preservation canister, and momentarily made me lose focus,” Xia Fei answered.
Chu Jingfeng was stunned, “It had turned into this in a blink of an eye? Isn’t it a freshwater aquatic nt? It could actually live when ced in seawater?!”
Xia Fei shook his head, indicating that he was uncertain as well.
“Let’s go to theboratory,” Chu Jingfeng said after some thought.
…
God’s Eden had many high-tech devices beyond what it had originally installed. Chu Jingfeng quicklypleted his examination of the cactus.
Taking the report in hand, Chu Jingfeng made his way to Xia Fei’s side, the two looking at the strange nt together.
The originally small cactus was now almost three meters tall, and if those white spines were included, it was really hard to describe just how strange the nt was.
“What’s the result?” Xia Fei asked.
“It’s far too stunning! It’s far too stunning! It’s far too stunning!” Chu Jingfeng did not look the part of a master at all. He repeated the same line thrice, the expression on his face very exaggerated.
“Those white things that look like pearls on the end of the many spines, seem to be the flowers that the cactus bloomed. They reced the many purple butterfly-shaped flowers that were on the top of the cactus, and I even found Jade Dragon Frost traces in its gics!” Chu Jingfeng dered.
…
Xia Fei was bbergasted. This strange cactus has gic traces of Jade Dragon Frost?! It was no wonder Chu Jingfeng was so shocked. Anyone else in his shoes would definitely feel the same!
“How could that be? The Jade Dragon Frost were seeds that came from the Four Great Sky Devils, and this cactus was something Old Ye just found deep in an undersea trench. The two had no rtion to one another, so how could they share gic simrities?!” Xia Fei asked, puzzled.
Chu Jingfeng shook his head. “It’s not that the events arepletely unrted. Several days ago, you brought the cactus into theboratory, and I discovered that a seed of Jade Dragon Frost was gone after you left with it.”
Xia Fei was speechless. He mumbled in surprise, “I brought that cactus to theboratory, andter a Jade Dragon Frost’s seed is gone?! Was that the doing of this aquatic cactus? But it has no hands…”
Chu Jingfeng replied, “I don’t understand, either. But look here, the report indicates that this cactus truly has the gic code of the Jade Dragon Frost!”
Xia Fei took the report over and read it, line by line. He was someone who had learned a myriad array of knowledge, so he was able to make out at least seventy to eighty percent of the botanical analysis report.
After he was done, Xia Fei eximed, “You are right! Now, the cactus not only has the gic code of the Jade Dragon Frost, it’s even an enhanced version of it! The gic code that originally made the Jade Dragon Frost has been all but devoured. In its ce are genes that grant it a greater survivability!”
“That’s right!” Chu Jingfeng could barely contain his excitement. “This cactus is definitely a freak of nature! Living several tens of thousand beneath sea level, in a deep sea trench, who knew just how great a water pressure it had to withstand? And this is on top of the fact that it was growing in saltwater, something considered fatal to most botanical lifeforms! It alsocks the ess to photosynthesis nts are known to have!
“Under such conditions, the fact that this cactus could continue to live just goes to show that its survivability isparable to your Immemorial Mystical Armament, Peacock Blue!
“Right now, the situation is that the fragile Jade Dragon Frost and this very tenacious cactus havebined to form a new entity! It’s apletely new nt now!
“I have no idea how they managed to do this, but the fact is right before our eyes! The Jade Dragon Frost has be a super-mutated nt together with the cactus!
“Heavens, I already have no words to describe just how peculiar this thing is. God knows just what exactly this thing is!”
After hearing Chu Jingfeng’s words, Xia Fei’s mouth hung open. He hade across plenty of strange and inexplicable things in his life, but this was definitely the most outrageous!
A moment passed, and Chu Jingfeng spoke even louder, “The most peculiar fact isn’t all this, but ording to conventional nt growth, what does it mean after a nt blooms?”
Xia Fei thought about it and his expression changed drastically! He uttered the next sentence word by word, “nts blossom, then they bear fruit!”
“That’s right! That’s the result! But just look at this ultrasonic analysis chart!” Chu Jingfeng said.
With that, Chu Jingfeng handed Xia Fei an ultrasonic analysis chart. The chart clearly indicated that there was a small fruit inside the cactus, and it looked like a peach, red in color.
Countless veins connected to the fruit in order to provide it with the necessary nutrients.
“This peculiar cactus not only hybridized with the Jade Dragon Frost, but it even bore fruit?!” Xia Fei yelled, absolutely shocked.
…
In a corner of God’s Eden, a spring was flowing. Due to Xia Fei feeding the ce with spirit energy, a pool of Lifewater had recently begun forming.
Beside this pool was a newly-dug garden plot, and in that plot was nted a very strange looking nt, the cactus with the flowers that looked like pearls.
ying it safe, Xia Fei and Chu Jingfeng had decided to open this garden and keep it independent, all for the sake of catering to this unbelievable cactus.
“After restructuring itself with the Jade Dragon Frost’s genes, turning it from an aquatic nt to one that isnd-based, just what kind of situation are we in? It’s as if every impossibility rted to what we know of botany has happened all at once!” Xu Launbu shook his head andmented, “God knows what nt this is!”
