Introduction: A young man wanted to be known for something, nothing big but he wanted to find something nobody else could do and show them, just to prove he could do it. He had heard about a long string of missing people cases who went into the same part of the same woods every few years. Some even said it had been happening for some centuries (though most, including historians and scientists, don鈥檛 believe it could鈥檝e been that long), and yet nobody ever ended up finding anything, so he figured he could find out what patterns there were to eventually find out what really happened to all those people and return with his discovery. He picked up his journal and wrote what he wanted to do and went to do it, but he forgot to consider that it had been some years since the wood鈥檚 last missing case.(POV of the guy's journal, canonically he didn't write the quotation marks separating entries nor did he write the lines doing so as well)...
