    Savannah''s POV


    I looked at the sky and sighed. Rosis''s words shing in my mind again and again. I don''t know how to


    react on this matter nor I know how true the story is but one thing is sure that the event really


    happened. Is this why Hardwick was hesitating to tell me the truth? Because he was deeply involved in


    this matter? But I am his mate and he can''t hide it from me forever especially when the past is knocking


    hard trying to barge inside in our present life. I don''t know how long it will take him to return but I really


    want him here with me. I want to ask him about it to confirm myself and to know how much of a true


    story it was.


    "Mistress"


    I was pulled back to earth when Luina''s voice rang in my ear "what?"


    "This is your dress. '''' She put the violet-colored silk dress on the bed. Only then I realised that I was still


    in my bathrobe.


    "Thanks Luina" I said before picking it up.

    After dressing up I walk towards the dining area to have my coffee. Just as I walked inside I saw Jenny.


    I was about to greet her but something caught my eyes.


    "Hi Jenny" I greeted as I walked towards her.


    She turned around and smiled "good morning Mistress" . She ced the new flower pot on the table.


    "You look beautiful," I said as I sat down.


    "I....I will bring your coffee" she almost ran away. I chuckled as I looked at her running back. Looks like


    something really happened. I tapped on the table as I waited for her toe back.


    "Here Mistress" Jenny ced the coffee cup on the table. The cup was still hot and I could see the


    steams.


    "You look so happy today. What happened?"


    "Um....nothing"


    I looked at her up and down and then smiled "this shirt looks good on you but don''t you think it''s


    oversized?"


    Jenny gasped "uh....this ..." She looked down on her body then suddenly a blush appeared on her


    cheek staining her skin in pink light.

    I raised my eyebrows as I looked at her closely. It''s clear that the shirt she was wearing is a man''s shirt.

    "There you are, why did you leave the bed leaving me alo-" the manly voice stopped in middle.


    I looked up and gave a smile "Good morning, I was not expecting you to be here in the pack Ryan"


    "Ah.... Luna, are you here too?" Ryan walked in with an awkward smile.


    "Uh... I am here to grab my morning coffee" I replied as I sipped on my coffee. "Well I must say You


    really did have good choice Ryan"


    "Choice about what?" He frowned.


    "Shirt" I smiled "specially the one Jenny is wearing right now"


    Ryan''s eyes raked on Jenny who was standing at the side blushing from head to toe.


    "You two are mates?" I asked.

    "Jenny rejected you?" I asked.

    "3 months ago. Jenny''s wolf is quite weakpared to the others in the pack so it took time to form the


    bond and recognise each other as mates" Ryan replied.


    I nodded "So you both were avoiding each other for a long time then what happenedst night?"


    Jenny blushed again, making meugh inwardly. I still couldn''t believe that this shy girl really had a way


    with her mate. But of course I am happy for her.


    "I had enough of the distance" Ryanughed then nced at Jenny. There was a hidden adoration


    shining in his eyes.


    Finally the forever yboy finally met his mate. He really looked smitten already.

    "Anyways, where''s Hardwick?" I asked Ryan.

    "I don''t know exactly. I was here in the pack to get some files and I need to head back by afternoon"

    a call or message?" I asked, getting annoyed.


    "Don''t worry Luna, it will get over soon. If the matter was not serious then Alpha wouldn''t be working


    hard to handle like this" this time all the yfulness of Ryan vanished and his face turned serious. It''s


    like he was trying hard to persuade me not to take Hardwick in the wrong way for his absence.


    I sighed "I am doubting him. It''s just I couldn''t see him so I am worried"


    Hearing me say this Ryan smiled "as I said, Alpha will be back after the matter is solved. He will be


    back soon to you"


    I nodded "I will be waiting for him"


    The rest of the afternoon went by hurriedly and I spent my time in the library with Luina. Without


    Hardwick it is really boring. I miss his naughty hands that could not stay still and his naughty mouth


    which could not refrain itself from talking dirty in my ear. I miss him so much that it hurts. But I don''t


    have any choice either. All I can do is wait for him to return so that I can throw myself on him and tell


    him how much I missed him.


    Shaking my head I closed the book in my hand. Luina who was sitting on the chair stood up "are you


    finished Mistress?"


    I nodded.


    "Do you want another one? I can search again"


    Iughed "no it''s fine. I can read many books in one day"


    "What would you like to do then?"


    "I want to go out and take a stroll. Sitting here all day making my body stiff"


    "Okay" she nodded and I ced the book on the table before heading out of the library room.

    "It feels good" I smiled to myself as the cold air hit my skin. The library room wasfy and it could


    make you sleepy while reading. I was reading a novel the whole afternoon and now my body started to


    feel numb. But it''s a great time-killing method other than sitting in a room alone and looking at those


    furniture.


    "The gardeners will be nting new flowers, Mistress. Would you like to add some of your choice?"


    Luina asked as she followed behind me in slow steps.


    "The garden is already full. Why are they nning news posts?"

    I nced at Luina who nodded and stepped away from us. Dney looked at her before looking at me.


    Though she looks beautiful with those innocent eyes, I know it clearly that she is not what she seems


    outside. She sighed a few times before opening her mouth.


    "I know you are his mate. But before you came I was in his life. And we have shared so many things


    that you can''t imagine" there was a small smile ying on her lips. It''s like she was trying to recall


    everything that happened in the past.


    "What are you trying to say?" I asked her seriously.


    She smiled gently "My name is Dney. May be you don''t know me but Hardwick and this pack knows


    me well. We almost grew up together and have deep bonding for each other. It''s unfortunate that we


    are not bonded by fate but no matter what we could deny whatever we have between us. So I want to


    tell that please let us stay together"

    I looked at Dney carefully. This woman looks like she is gentle and charming but all I could see was


    her pretense. How could anyone be this shameless? Till now I have seen 3 people who are kind of


    shameless beyond imagination. One is Avan then Reese and next is Dney. They all have the same


    goal, mind and personality that could never change.


    "Are you done Dney? Looks like your purpose got fulfilled" I said after some time.


    "What do you mean? " She frowned "I am requesting you because you are his mate. All you have to do


    is to be a little open minded to ept me"
