    Savannah''s POV


    Two dayster....


    I huffed as I looked at the screen. It has been two days since my mate left and there''s no need for him.


    At least he could have called me once in these two days but no that man is really an idiot. He didn''t


    even say anything about his work yet just left like that.


    "Where are you Hardwick? You are already making me worried" I mumbled. I know he has works and


    his responsibilities but I am also his mate and does not I included in his fucking responsibility term?


    "Breakfast is ready Mistress" Luina walked inside as she informed me.


    I am losing my appetite here. First my mate is gone and second that Dney woman popped out of


    nowhere. I don''t know why but that woman makes me uneasy. Looking at her doesn''t give any kind of


    assertive feelings in my heart. I pushed theptop away and looked at Luina.


    "Luina, do you know who Dney is?" I asked. Though I have settled my mind not to interfere in this


    matter until Hardwick tells me everything first but now that Dney is here it''s making me more


    curious.


    "That I really don''t know Mistress. Since I have started to work here, there''s no person called Dney. I


    don''t know if she is a member of this pack" Luina replied, smiling apologetically.


    Hmm....looks like the matter of Dney is kind of sensitive and more secretive than I thought. Is that


    why Hardwick refused to talk about her or there''s more that made him avoid her topic rapidly.


    "Do you know anyone who could have known something about this Dney girl?"

    "Luina, I am your Mistress. If you are hesitating because of your Alpha then you don''t have to. I will

    I shook my head "it''s ridiculous you know" I got up from bed and walked towards the window. In the

    "Sometimes the secrets of the past must be revealed to save the present and also the future because


    the past events are too dark. It affects the present and future as well. If one doesn''t know anything


    about the past how could they handle the current problem? It''s important to know who this Dney is" I


    put my palm on the ss window as my gaze fixed on the two figures.


    "Mistress, maybe my aunt could help," Luina said. I shifted my body, turning around to look at her.


    "Your aunt?" I frowned.


    "Yes," she nodded. "My aunt was a head maid in the pack who worked during the period of thete


    Alpha Master. So maybe she could help"


    I smiled "good, let''s go then I need to meet her immediately"

    It took a 15 minutes walk to reach Luina''s aunt''s house. It was a little further in the pack area. A middle-


    aged woman opened the door and gasped as she looked at us.


    "Luina?" The woman called out.


    "Aunt Rosis" Luina smiled "My mistress wanted to meet you so I brought her here"


    "Mistress" Aunt Rosis''s eyes widened "oh, please forgive my ignorance Mistress"


    "It''s fine" I waved my hand "how are you aunt Rosis?"


    "I am a good Mistress, oh my bad pleasee inside" Rosis let out a nervous chuckle.


    We went inside and settled in the small living room. Rosis made tea and served it. She looked good


    though she has reached middle aged. Her silver hair was tied in a bun but there''s no sign of wrinkles


    on her skin.


    "I never thought this woulde and you will visit me here Mistress. How can I help you?" Rosis


    asked.


    I smiled "Luina told me you used to work as head maid in the pack?"


    "Yes, I have worked for longer periods. I have seen Little Master to grow up and be the Alpha.


    Those golden days are such remarkable memories I could never forget" Rosis smiled.


    I nodded. Since she has worked for such a long period of time I guess she could have known about


    Dney too. So without wasting much time I asked her.


    "Aunt Rosis, do you know who Dney is?"


    Rosis''s eyes widened "Mis....Mistress?"


    And I really do expect such a reaction.


    "Please don''t hesitate, Aunt Rosis. You really don''t need to feel afraid. I just wanted to know about her.

    Rosis sighed "Mistress it''s hard. The matter of Dney is kind of an important matter and because of


    that there''s many changes in the pack. Though I don''t know much about it but whatever I know is also


    prohibited to talk"


    "Aunt Rosis I can understand your feeling but I need to know about her because it''s not about me but it


    includes Hardwick and the whole pack too. If you choose to stay quiet today then whatever will happen


    next won''t you feel regret? "


    "Mistress, what are you talking about?"


    "Dney is here"


    Rosis gasped "what-what? She is here?"


    "Yes, that''s why I am asking for your help. Please tell me whatever you know about her. Even if it''s a


    small thing I need to know" I tried to persuade more.


    Rosis still looked hesitant.


    I sighed "fine if you don''t want to talk about it. I won''t force you. But you remember one thing, Dney


    caused a big matter in the past and now history can repeat itself" I got up from the couch and walked


    towards the door.


    I was about to push the door open when Rosis called out "Mistress please wait"


    I turned around and looked at her waiting for her to continue.


    Rosis got up and took a deep breath "I will tell you everything I know"


    Jenny''s POV


    "Are you done?" I looked up and found dad removing his chef attire.


    "Uh....yeah, it''s just a simple ount dad. Nothing''s hard" I smiled.


    Dad sighed "Bridge will take tonight''s shift. I am taking a break"


    "Are you okay dad? I mean you never took a break so .."


    "I am fine" dad chuckled. "don''t worry. Bridge wanted to take tonight''s work and he almost pleaded so I


    couldn''t say no to him"


    Iughed "he is really interested in cooking?"


    "I guess so. He has been with me a year already. Almost like clinging" dad let out augh.


    "It''s good then. You are old already. So you also need to take some rest for your health" I said closing


    the ount book.

    "Are you happy?"


    I frowned "what kind of question is that dad? "


    "I just..."


    "Dad, is there something wrong? I mean you look troubled today. What happened?" I asked as I

    died we are stuck here in the pack kitchen. Besides since my mate is dead my wolf is weak and


    couldn''t transform anymore" he sighed. There was sadness shing in his eyes "and you are born with


    weak health. Your wolf is not strong like others and because of that you couldn''t train yourself normally.


    I just feel that you are suffering here because of me"


    My eyes moistened and I shook my head "dad what are you talking about? You are thinking


    unnecessary things. Please don''t think like that and burden your heart. I am happy. Besides, I love


    cooking and there''s no problem living like this. And about training then it''s hard. They arepeting


    with each other like enemies and I don''t like it. I feel more secure to live here and try new recipes"


    Dad looked at me with small smile "how lucky I am to have you as my daughter"


    Iughed "because I am cute"


    Dad chuckled and patted my head "you naughty girl always takes things in a fun way. When you are


    going to grow up"


    "When it''s time, I will grow up. But now I just want to live as your little daughter" I squealed and hugged


    him.


    "Silly girl" dadughed.


    After talking to him I walked inside the kitchen. It''s already evening so I wanted to grab some coffee for


    myself. I have a habit of drinking coffee in the morning and evening so when the sun sets my heart


    craves for it. I saw Bridge inside the kitchen.


    "Hi Uncle" I smiled as I walked in.


    "Hi Jenny"


    "You are early here" I said as I grabbed a coffee mug.


    "I thought of preparing the dinner menu. You want coffee?"


    "Yeah, cravings you know"


    Heughed "right. I saw an Italian dish in the fridge. Who brought it?"


    I stopped pouring milk when I heard him. I turned my head to look at him "uh....you tried?"


    He nodded "it tastes good. I am amazed. I was wondering who ordered it"


    I felt blush on my cheeks "um....that I made it"


    "Oh that''s right- what?" Bridge looked surprised "you did?"


    "Yeah, I had free time so I saw it online and tried it" I replied shyly. I really didn''t expect him to try it.


    "Good, good" heughed "I never thought you are so good in cooking"


    "It was a first trial uncle please don''t joke"


    "I am not. It was really good. You should practice more you know"


    I smiled "thanks for the application uncle"


    "Okay, I have to prepare for dinner" he rubbed his hand and looked at the vegetables on the table.


    "What''s the main menu?" I asked as I stirred my coffee with a spoon.


    "I will go with beef"


    "Oh, that''s great. I am leaving uncle" I said and walked out of the kitchen and sat in the dining area.


    Now I can enjoy my drink slowly and peacefully. I thought and took a sip. It''s good. So favourable. I


    closed my eyes enjoying the feeling.


    "Yeah that''s right, I will get it and then-"


    My eyes shoot open at the voice. As expected the person stood holding the phone near his ear but his


    eyes stuck on me.


    "Inform you" saying this he cut the call. He slowly walked forward.


    "I was here to get some drinks but never thought you would be waiting for me," he said as a smirk

    I stood up and put the mug on the table "I am just drinking my coffee"


    "Oh" he walked closer "so you didn''t miss me?"


    "What are you doing?" I stepped back as he leaned more closer.


    "You don''t know?" He asked as his eyes hardened.


    I pushed myself back but stopped when my back collided with the tiled wall. I bit my lips as I cursed in


    my heart.


    "I will see where you can run now" he came closer and put his hand on each side of me.


    "Have you gone crazy? " I hissed.


    "Crazy?" Heughed "I went crazy the moment I saw you. Tell me who''s fault is it to keep me hanging


    in the middle?"


    I bit my lips angrily as I threw a hard re "go and fuck your girlfriends who will be d to warm your


    bed instead of disturbing me here" I snapped.

    "I can call you anything I want. What are you going to do about it?" He challenged.


    "Ryan Wolf you are such a manwhore. You go fucking around with other woman as you please and

    "You think I care about those women? They are a fucking gold diggers only trying to hook up for

    He chuckled "filthy? You like it darling. And for your good information I am totally clean if you fearing


    about that"


    "Who wants to have anything with you?" I hissed.


    "You will have everything with me baby. Of course your wolf is purring with delight yet you are trying to

    I huffed "I am not interested in going through any argument with you. Let me go"
