Chloe''s POV
How could it be like this?
It has been five years. For those five years, | did my best to forget everything. Desperately, | did my best to abandon my feelings,
to the point where | foolishly fooled myself that | have put everything in the past.
All that sadness, the way my heart aches when | think of those painful memories | had with ke... the way my soul still longed
for him despite everything that happened... the way my body yearned for him toe closer so that | could touch his body
heat...
All those feelings of happiness and belongingness that he taught me...
| thought I have forgotten ke and made everything, all the memories we made together a colorful part of my past. | deluded
myself that when | saw him, | would be able to put everything behind and only strive forward towards my goals.

hit him, he did not flinch.
He spread his arms wide open and closed his eyes calmly, ready to take no matter how dangerous my attack would be. And
instead of putting defense to mitigate my attack, ke dly epted it.
This image of his... one that was embracing death peacefully, made my heart tremble from pain. My body shivered in sadness
as | stopped just before Aurora’s power touched his body.
How could this happen? Despite everything we have gone through... clearly... | couldn''t hurt him...

Upon that realization, my eyes started feeling warm until soon, the first teardrop fell. And like a dam that was breached, my tears
continuously fell down until | started wailing as | copsed on the ground.
Five years might be short for others. But for me... it was painfully long. Everyday, | pushed my body to the brink, hoping that |
would leave everything behind, hoping that the new would be reborn, forgetting everything and only focusing as the alpha of the
Red Moon Pack.
