Powers shing from me and ke caused the hall to shake and for everyone to be thrown off their initial positions.
“As expected, our mate is indeed strong...” Aurora praised as we both tried to parry ke’s ruthless attacks.

Everytime his attacks hit against my defense | felt like my entire body was shaking while trying to resist the destructive power in

“Urk...” | clenched my teeth and retreated, creating a distance between us.

Everything went dark for | subconsciously closed my eyes in anticipation of the attack. The next moment, | felt like my body was

| did not know how far I have gone, but all | know is that there is another way, something warm covering me securely, making me
feel like nothing bad will happen as | continue to drift away.
Only when the harsh winds were gone did | realize that | was actually in ke’s arms and in a sh we were already ina
clearing that was already further away from our territory.
Immediately, my body jolted, | felt an electrifying sensation as | instinctively pushed ke away, “Don’t touch me!”
The cold wind immediately enveloped me once | left ke’s arms, but it is not what | care for at the moment.

“If it is about cooperation, then we must go back in the pack and talk in the presence of everyone. If you insist on keeping me
here then forget about cooperating! We will work separate ways!” My face darkened as | hardened my decision.
“And what, Chloe? Are you going to fight with Alpha Kain with the level of strength you and your pack showed earlier?”
“Tell me Chloe? Would you only stop to harden your heart if everyone around is already gone? You have already seen it at the
banquet! You have already realized it earlier! You can’t do it alone Chloe! You need us just as we need you!”
Even at a distance, | could see how ke clenched his fist, as if he was trying not to leak whatever emotions he was hiding
within.
