“Go ahead, Mr. Lawson. Feel free to use the conference room,” Cayden offered as he put out his
cigarette.
The negotiation came to a temporary halt.
All the representatives of Vivi Group headed for the conference room next door in an orderly manner,
while Avery and her colleagues returned to the design department.
Avery had wanted to spend some time alone with Cayden. After the intense business negotiation that
they had just had, Cayden must have felt exhausted. She wanted to give him an encouraging hug.
However, they were at the office. Since they had not publicized their rtionship, she did not find it
appropriate to go to him for no reason.
Just when Avery reached her desk, she received a call from Cayden through the internalndline
asking her to go to his office.
Under the teasing gazes of Cecelia and Nina as well as a jealous look from Yulissa, Avery headed over
to Cayden''s office.
The hallways were covered by thick, soft carpets with intricate patterns. The design of the carpets was
simple yet tasteful. Walking on the carpets felt like walking on fluffy cotton balls. It was beyond cozy.
As Avery stepped on the carpet, she felt a warmth radiating from her heart.
Ever since she got pregnant, Cayden was worried that she might hurt herself. He had intentionally
hired people toy the carpets in the hallways, showing her how thoughtful he was.
A handsome face appeared in front of her the moment Avery knocked on the office door. Before she
could react, she was already wrapped in his arms.

eptable range, so why did you hesitate?”
A slight stubble had grown on Cayden''s usual clean-shaven chin. It pained Avery to feel the stubble as
she moved her fingers gently across his chin.

Avery knew that the main reason Cayden did not want to sign the agreement was not that he thought
