Chapter 16 ~His Trick ~
XAVIER''S POV~~
My eyes were fixed on the girl over the bed who kept observing little stuffs inside the room.
My subconscious mind couldn''t help but recalled the terrified moment between us. She was just one
step away from loosing her life yet she prompted so powerful at that time. Carrying the puppy with all
her might, she stood frozen as if she was awaiting to embrace the death.
My soul nearly left this poor body once it caught the sight of her startled fatigue, middle of the road as
the track charged itself like a true monstrous creature!
At that precise moment,I don''t why I wanted to save her at any cost. My conscious mind was all alerted
and dragged me in to save the alluring beauty without hesitation. To think about this logically,It had
been only a day since she appeared in my life. But surprisingly I felt something odd between us
whenever Iid my eyes on her and noticed the charming ws in her movements.
As I kept staring at her anxious figure, two female doctors along with one red haired nurse entered into
the room quite hastily. Their eyes fell on my sitting silhouette as they blushed profusely as if they had
encountered their newly wedded hubby.
I shook my head helplessly before getting up andmanded in a chaste voice,
" Check her out fast!"
The group of women jolted tremendously before takingrge stride towards her and started the
treatment.
She had been remaining obedient since we came in here and answered some of the doctor''s brief
questions very patiently.
After making sure that she didn''t get hurt anywhere else, one of the doctor informed me staring at my
cold face like a hungry wolf,
" Mr President, she is all right except some little bruises. Our nurse will help her dressing the
scratches."
Her answer was clear.She wouldn''t need to check on an unimportant person. I was pretty sure that if I
was there on the bed instead of Miss Young, this gleeful doctors would definitely stay here to lick my
boots.
I kept my tone firm as my eyes red at her deeply,
" You do it on your own.I don''t want any bruises on her knee and make sure that she doesn''t feel pain
I shot my words in breath and found everyone''s face dumbfounded. Even Miss Young was staring at
me in puzzlement.
Wait, did I exaggerate too much? I wasn''t meaning anything else jeez! I just don''t want to be the bad
boy boss in her eyes!
It took a while to assert my words in their mind as they kept staring at my static face. Soon after, the
female doctor nodded her head nkly before instructing something to the nurse next to her lowly.
The nurse went out as I stood in front of the bed towering spontaneously. The doctor didn''t dare to
waste anymore time and started scanning her bruises.
It wasn''t a major injury but still a lot of blood flowed down. My mind audibly felt worried when it saw her
bruised skin along with bloodstains.
She had a fair, smooth skin like a raindrop without a single blemish. Her green eyes reflected a
mysterious aura of her that separated her personality from others. I couldn''t help but praise that she
had the best facial features along with talents which was very rare. At least I had never encountered
any other woman like her.
My random thoughts were interrupted as I heard her panicking tone,
" No way! Are you guys nning to inject me?"
I followed her horrified gaze and saw the injection on the tray carried by the red haired nurse. The
female doctor replied nonchntly taking up the injection,
" Yes, mam. It will heal your pain soon or else you may start feeling painter at nighttime. "
She refused instantly protecting her knee curling up like a frightened kid,
" No, no. There''s no need. I will be fine absolutely."
She seemed too afraid of injection thus continued grumbling noisily. I finally spoke snatching her
attention on me,

" Miss Young, it''s just an injection. You don''t need to be so frightened."
She gave me a puppy eyes almost blinding my vision and responded almost pleading,
" No, Mr President. I really don''t want this. I.. I don''t like injections."
I was bewitched by her begging gaze for a moment but quickly returned to my firm state remembering
that her well being was the first priority.
I shook my head helplessly before walking near her bed and assured her while keeping my tone as soft
as I can,
" Miss Young, let me tell you a story. Calm down and listen to me first."
She blinked awkwardly baffled out of my nonsensical topic. My only intention was to divert her attention
on something else.
Thus I started telling her about ourst operation randomly. I thought women were disinterested over
actions or violent issues but unexpectedly she seemed much more excited.
I exined about how we destroyed the most influencal gangs in the state and boasted about how
mastermind trap I setted back then. Her eyes sparked in excitement as if she was picturing those
bloody scenario inside her mind. My tone was quite influencer like my speech. After spending so much
time in politics, I knew that how to seduce people with my charm.
I gestured to the female doctors who seemed awestruck and ordered to give the injection now.
Lucky they turned out to be smart and quickly injected her when she was immersed into my
conversation.
After I figured out that the doctors were done with their injection, I quickly changed my express into my
bossy attitude. Giving her a nk re, I ordered fixing my sleeves,
" Let''s go Miss Young. We need to head for the office soon."
She snapped out of her wild thoughts. Her eyes caught sight of the empty injection holding by thedy
doctor. The next moment, her astounded tone blurted out,
" Wait? What did she do? When.. when did she inject me? "
