Chapter 15 ~Treating Her Injuries~

    IRIS''S POV ~


    My left elbow were smashed against the hardness of the concreted street earning a low muffle cry from


    me. I vaguely sensed a lot of bruises left on my skin as soon as I bounced.


    I groaned instinctively still keeping my eyes shut and felt a firm chest hovering on me. Perturbed,I


    opened my eyes partially and the following moment, I gasped uttering out shakily,


    " Mr.. Mr.. President.. you.."


    My thoughts went nk as I blinked on his handsome dusted face profusely!


    We both were lying t on the street as my head was ced under his right arm.His right hand was


    supporting my back wrapping around my numb body like a chain.He opened his blue eyes letting out a


    low groan and gazed down at my stupefied face murderously,


    " You... are you dumb Miss Young? You were nearly killed because of this little shit."


    He shifted his daggered eyes on the puppy as it whimpered silently protesting to get off from my arms.


    Stumbling out from my bizarre thoughts, I quickly slipped out from his grip hauling up from the hand


    and helped him to get up nervously.


    He patted his ck tuxedo in annoyance checking out back and forth.Rage was written all over his


    face as he again focused on me ready to brust out his anger.But his well prepared scorching words


    were interrupted midway by a tiny voiceing out from the opposite side of street,


    " Tommy.. Tommy... you bad boy.."


    I looked up consciously and found a nearly eight years older child was scurrying towards our way


    anxiously.The puppy in my arms nestled more protectively after hearing out her tone. Thus I assumed


    that she might be the owner of this puppy.


    The tiny girl had worn a pink floral fork as she quickly approached near us putting on a pouted face


    unhappily.She stopped just in front of me and expressed her gratitude sweetly,


    " Thank you aunty for saving my Tommy. He just slipped out of our home sneakily."


    I smiled back as my heart filled with warmness for her innocent face. I handed her over the puppy and


    responded in a soft voice,


    " It''s fine, sweetie. Don''t let hime out anymore. He is still too young and can be hurt easily. "


    The girl nodded like a well mannered kid and smiled widely showing off her two rows of milky teeth


    brightly.Suddenly her eyes periodically fell on the goofy demon beside me and uttered out widening her


    round eyes in shock,


    " Aaaah! Is.. Isn''t that our president, Xavier Gray? "


    I followed her surprised gaze and discovered his erged expression still same as before. The man


    remained nonchnt unwilling to give the tiny girl any answer thus I shot him a meaningful nce


    pleadingly.


    Unexpectedly he understood my hint of words and stretched out his hand hesitantly for shaking like a


    gentle man,


    " Hello, little girl. Nice to meet you."


    The girl quickly groped his hand and answered in her excited tone,


    " Hello.. Hello.. O my god! I should tell my friends that I have met with the president for real. You are


    more handsome than TV."


    I chuckled lightly and was really impressed over the demon''s attitude that he achieved such mini fans


    too. My gaze spotted few people who had started paying attention on us deeply. Lucky he had his ck


    sunsses on his face thus no one recognised their nation''s god in a nce.Meanwhile the


    presidential guards quickly rushed over us and one of them asked anxiously,


    " Mr President, are you alright? "


    He disengaged his hand from the girl''s palm and replied briefly,


    " I''m okay."


    I sensed the public eyes deepening on us thus urged him quickly,


    " We should leave this ce fast."


    He noticed the crowd too thus agreed in a brief moment. I bid farewell to the little girl before heading


    back for the car under the protection of guardsman.


    I will be fired today for sure !


    As we both hopped into the car, I took the front seat as usual. Enduring the burning pain from my left


    knee, I gritted my teeth to stop my howling pain pounding against my chest painfully.


    As my eyes leaped on the rear view mirror hanging on the top of us, I discovered those blue eyes were


    staring at me. At that precise moment, I really saw his brows frowning a little as if he was concerned


    about my scrunched up.


    Breathing hard in anticipation,I quickly averted my eyes in nervousness and thought of wandering my


    eyes outside instead.


    damn!! His eyes really work on me hypnotisingly!


    I know that I was in fault. But as soon as I spotted the little puppy on the street, my only subconscious


    wanted to save him anyhow. Perhaps,my loneliness during my entire childhood was the main reason


    that pushed me into a state that I wished to see everyone safe and sound. After all, darkness was the


    essential part of my life.


    As I was dwelling in my own thoughts, I heard his mechanical tone ordering off the chauffeur,


    " Drive to the nearby hospital !"


    I was stunned for a moment before ncing at him from the corner of my eyes.


    Did he get hurt? Why didn''t I see it? Damn Iris!


    A sudden concern aroused from the core of my heart. Even the chauffeur''s asked looking back on his


    way anxiously,


    " Mr President, did you get hurt? Should I call any ambnce?"


    Mr President only rolled his eyes before ordering through his tightening lips,


    " You talk too much, Ace. Drive the car fast."


    I saw Ace''s baffled expression before starting up the engine quickly. I decided to keep quite and gently


    rubbed my bruised knees while hissing softly under my breath in silence.


    Soon after, the car had parked in front of the city hospital as the guards quickly shoved into the hospital


    to clear the crowd.


    After all, they didn''t wish to create another headline for the president!


    As we both stepped down,I spotted the nurses and doctors were all standing at the doorway to receive


    their honourable president shippingly.


    Mr President walked first emitting his mysterious and powerful aura that made everyone''s eyes


    lowering down subsequently. He gestured me to follow him inside as my concerned eyes scanned his


    figure from head to toe.


    If he gets hurt anywhere because of me, my guilt will have no bound. I followed his footsteps as the


    chairman of hospital greeted him respectively.


    After having some brief conversation, the chairman led us into a vip room decorated withvishing bed,


    a 52 inches LED tv and a warm pair of sofa sets.


    As we entered the room, Mr President. turned his attention back on me and ordered,


    " Lie Down, Miss Young. The doctors are on their way."


    I blurted out instantly without having any damn idea of his words,

    He stepped near me and spoke nonchntly,


    " Your knee is hurt. It should be treated quickly."


    I blinked twice confusedly and tried to register his words in my head!


    Wait, did wee all the way to treat my injuries?


    My face stiffed shyly at his generous act as I denied politely,


    " Mr President, it''s just some little bruises. You didn''t have to bother taking me in here. I will apply some


    ointment on it."


    His eyes dimmed a little as his maic tone echoed in the giant room,


    " Then you should have thought about the consequences before jumping into the street, Miss Young.I


    don''t want any shit rumours about me. If this news leak out, people will think that I mistreat my


    subordinates and can''t take of their medical states. Do you want


    that? "


    I stayed quite for a moment to grasp with his intention. Well, he was just trying to save his image in


    front of the nation.


    Thus I nodded my headpromisingly before walking towards the white bed. I quickly put off my high


    heels absentmindedly before plopping down on the bed obediently.


    He observed my movements attentively and somehow I noted a hint of guilt for speaking those harsh


    words in his eyes.


    The chairman retreated himself before assuring repeatedly that he would send his best medical team


    here. I kept staring at the ceiling waiting to receive my statement as I vaguely sensed his existence


    inside the room.


    He nced at me nkly before sitting down on the sofa crossing his legs domineeringly.


    The silence was weeping but his eyes were still too violent that were piercing through my heart and


    soul quietly.


    As I exhaled a long sigh, my phone beeped beside my pillow suddenly. Reaching out for the phone, I


    snapped it unlock using my finger print as a short message popped out from nowhere.


    Darling, I didn''t like the way, he touched you!


    The fuck!


    I gripped my teeth harder and replied back furiously,
