Chapter 37- Does he know?

Sehreyar has opened his eyes feeling a sharp pain in his right shoulder because of the bullet wound.
Otherwise, he is fine. The operation was sessful.
After opening his eyes, the first word he took is Meher''s name. He uttered softly,"
Meher.........Meher.........."
" Are you ok, bhaiya? Haniya asked worriedly.
Sehreyar just nodded his head in positive and again asked," Meher, where is she? I want to meet her."
" She is in somewhere else. In some better ce. Away from your cage," Haniya replied sternly.
Haniya is very angry with Sehreyar for hurting Meher. She can''t believe her brother made a teenager
his mistress. She is too much upset and hurt about this matter.
Sehreyar eyes shot open and he asked Haniya knitting his brows," what are you talking about?
Sehreyar is thinking that Haniya doesn''t know anything about his wrongdoing towards Meher. That''s
why he is surprised by hearing Haniya''s words.
" Why did you destroy that poor girl''s life, bhaiya? If you think that I don''t know anything then you are
wrong. I know everything about your injustice towards Meher," Haniya said with a disappointed tone.
Sehreyar asked Haniya angrily," From where youe to know about Meher? Did you go to meet that
fucker? What lies he told you this time?"
" Wow! Aren''t you a hypocrite, bhaiya? He is a fucker in your eyes. Then what are you? He is far better

Sehreyar snapped at Haniya," Mind yournguage, Haniya. I am your elder brother. Whatever I have
done is to give you justice."
"By raping and humiliating an innocent girl, you gave me justice! Just wow Bhaiya! Just wow," Haniya
sarcastically said pping. She is too much upset that she isn''t caring that her brother is in the
hospital bed.
Sehreyar lowered his head and stayed silent. Because deep down in his heart he clearly knew that he
is at fault. Meher was always innocent. His anger and thirst for revenge have destroyed Meher''s life.
" Everything is veryplicated. You don''t have to put your leg in my business. I need to find Meher,"
Sehreyar said and tried toe out of the bed but couldn''t as he is still very weak.
This time Haniya couldn''t control her anger anymore and said," Khuda ki vasstee ush bechari ko app
ak chor dijiye(For Ah''s sake leave that girl alone.) Let her lead her life peacefully."
" Woh sirf meri hey(She is only mine). I will mar.........." Sehreyar tried to say but couldn''tplete his
sentence because of Haniya''s interruption.
Haniya snapped at Sehreyar," She isn''t a property that you can im her as yours. Aur aap saheyed
bhul rahi hey ki aap shadi shuda hey ( And you are forgetting that you are already married)."
" I never epted that trashy so don''t remind me of that," Sehreyar replied with his cold voice.
Haniya took a deep breath and sat beside Sehreyar. She is understanding her brother''s obsession for
Meher which isn''t good. She remembered Meher''s request and made her mind to make Sehreyar
understand that he needs to let go of Meher.
" Agar aap ki andar thodi si bhi insaniyat bacha hey tu ush bechari ko jaane dijiye. Ushke piche firshe
mat jayei. Woh aapse nafrat karti hey. Samajhne ki kowshish kijiye. Apki wajah set du aworti ki zindagi

one hand on his shoulder.
Sehreyar heard Haniya''s every word carefully but said nothing. He is unusually calm but his eyes are
looking dark.
" Don''t give lectures to me. I know very well what I should do," Sehreyar said looking outside through
the window.
Sehreyar said mentally like aplete psycho," Meher belongs to me and I am going to make her
mine anyhow. She will love me just the way I have loved her. If it takes to force her then I will dly do
that."
Haniya is going to say something again when Sehreyar''s Dadi entered the cabin with her crying face.
" Sahu........" She screamed and hugged Sehreyar tightly who is lost in Meher''s thought.
Meher''s p.o.v
I came back to my apartment with Mehrab in my arms. He is very tired and hungry too. I can hear his
stomach grumbling sound.
I took a bath as I was too much tired. I need to return to Bhopal. I can''t risk Mehrab''s life again. I will
talk to thepany authority and give my resignation letter. In front of my child''s safety, this job is
nothing.
I showered Mehrab as well and put on a soft cotton baby dress on him. He is looking too cute.
I heated the food items and ced them on the dining table. Mehrab is now in myp and ying with
a toy.
" Mamma, that aunty was very good," Mehrab said while chewing the food which I am feeding him.
He must be talking about Haniya Ji. Indeed she is a good woman. I can''t believe she is Sehreyar''s
sister. How can she be that monster''s sister? She is too much humble and kind. The way she talked
with me touched my heart.
I tried to feed another spoonful of food to Mehrab when he said with a scared voice, "Mamma, I am
scared?"
" What''s scaring my Mehrab baby? What happened mera bha(my child)?" I asked him
affectionately.
He said clutching me tightly," Mamma, that bad giant. What if he againes and scolds you and me!"
" He will not againe and bother us," I said to him and finished feeding him.
Then, Mehrab asked me curiously," Mamma, why is that man very bad? Why he scolded you that
day?"
" He isn''t bad. He is just stupid," I said to Mehrab patting his head and blissfully looked outside.
But, I am not understanding one thing about Sehreyar. Why he saved Mehrab? He was fuming in rage
thinking that Mehrab is another man''s baby. I can''t forget the hatred I have seen in his eyes for my son.
Then, what happened to him suddenly that he took a bullet for Mehrab? Did hee to know
everything about Mehrab''s identity? Does he know that Mehrab is his son? Will he try to take away
Mehrab from me?
These questions are roaming inside my head like bugs and I am feeling too much worried. Whatever
will happen, I will not give my son to anyone. He is my everything.
