Chapter 20- The Enmity

    Sehreyar said with his deep voice, "Don''t you dare to be pregnant with my child. I will never


    ept that baby."


    " Why? The baby will be yours as well. Then, why you can''t ept him/her?" Meher asked biting her


    lips to control the tears.


    She is looking at him with a hurtful expression. She is very eager to know why he will hate his own


    child.


    Sehreyar stood up and replied lighting a cigarette," Because of the baby''s mother. I will never let a


    whore carry my child and give birth."


    Sehreyar intentionally insulted Meher thinking about Haniya. Adeel did the same thing with Sehreyar''s


    sister. Adeel didn''t ept his own child and killed it with his own hands.


    Meher looked at Sehreyar and found that he is smoking a cigarette and looking a little bit angry thinking


    about something. She doesn''t know why is he angry now.


    Meher felt some unwanted tears in her eyes hearing Sehreyar''s stern reply. She is still on the bed. She


    is lying with a heavy heart wrapping a quilt around her body.


    Meher angrily said with a heavy heart," I am not a whore. I am sleeping with you unwillingly."


    Sehreyar heard her and saidughing," You are a whore. You are warming my bed every day. And it''s a

    " You can say whatever you wanted to say about me. But, don''t you dare to bring my brother in all this,"


    Meher replied angrily.


    She can''t tolerate if anyone says anything about her brother. Meher is very sensitive when ites to

    position. He started wearing his clothes so casually ignoring the fact that Meher is crying on the bed.

    " Sajal is waiting for me. I promised her that we will have dinner together. But, I am wasting my time


    with a whore. I shouldn''t make her wait like that," Sehreyar said dramatically to insult Meher more.


    He told all this to hurt Meher. Recently, he has understood one thing that his fiancee matter always


    bothers Meher a lot. And, he has taken advantage of this matter.


    Meher didn''t reply to his sarcasm. She is just crying without making any noise. Meher can tolerate the


    physical pain which he always gave her but his taunting words always hurt her a lot.


    " Why do you hate me so much? Meher asked with her trembling voice.


    Sehreyar replied wearing his shoes," I just hate Adeel and hate everything rted to him."


    Meher is tired of hearing this same hatred thing. She asked him angrily," What my brother has ever


    done to you that you hate him so much?"


    Sehreyar was silent for a few moments like he is remembering something.


    Then he started saying with a cold voice," I used to have a very good rtionship with your father Mr


    Akram Ahmed Khan. He was a very good and humble person. He used to consider me as his own son.


    Our good rtionship was destroyed by your arrogant brother Adeel Ahmed Khan when he became


    the CEO of your father''spany after your father''s death. Your brother''s arrogance and ego


    destroyed everything. After meeting him I couldn''t believe he is Akram Ahmed Khan''s son. I was his


    senior in the business sector. He started putting his legs in our joined business without asking my

    After listening to Sehreyar, Meher''s eyes get widened. She couldn''t believe her brother and Sehreyar

    No sooner had she took Haniya''s name, Sehreyar marched towards Meher like a raging bull. Meher

    Sehreyar lifted her face by holding her chin tightly. He said anger dripping from his voice," Your

    sess that he didn''t think twice before bringing my sister between our rivalry."


    Meher is just looking at his angry face with her horrified eyes.


    After that, Sehreyar jerked off Meher''s face to another direction and Meher didn''t say anything further.


    She has seen genuine hatred in Sehreyar''s eyes for Adeel.  She is now understanding that her brother


    is notpletely innocent. He is also at fault about some reason. Still, her innocent heart couldn''t

    Sehreyar is now ready to leave the room when Meher asked him," So, you are taking revenge from me


    because of my brother?"

    Sehreyar didn''t turn at her. He replied with a nk tone," Ask this question to your brother that why he


    used my innocent sister to take revenge on me?"

    everything.


    But, something is roaming inside her head. She is now doubting all those incident which happened 7


    months ago.


    Asif''s ident, Adeel''s arrest, herpany being bankrupted and the ie tax problem. Everything


    happened at a time. Meher''s life became upside down just in one night.

    Meher''s p.o.v


    " Mam....slowly....don''t stress yourself," I heard the maid saying with concern where I am vomiting


    continuously. She is patting my back to console me.


    It''s the third time that I have thrown up everything whatever I have eaten earlier. I am feeling dizzy as


    well. My health condition is getting worse day by day.


    Because of my illness, I didn''t go to college today. If this continues what will happen to my study. Hey,


    Ah! Which test you have started taking now?


    The maid helped meing out of the washroom holding me by my shoulder. She helped mey down


    on the bed. I am feeling too much upset without any reason. My feet are aching and I am having a


    headache as well.


    " Mam, you should eat something liquid like soup. If this vomiting continues then your body will lose the


    energy and you will be sicker," The maid said messaging my feet. She is really concerned about


    my health.


    I replied rubbing my forehead," I am not feeling like to eat anything. I will eatter and then take the


    medicine."


    " Mam, you should go to the hospital. There is something very wrong with you," The maid said


    worriedly.


    I said having an ufortable smile," its nothing. Maybe I am having digestion problem. It will be fine


    in 2/3 days."


    The maid didn''t say anything further and continued her messaging on my feet. I am now feeling a little


    bit rxed.


    Suddenly, the maid said hesitantly," Mam, if you don''t mind can I tell you something?"


    I said chuckling," Why not? Tell me what you want to say."


    "Mam, I think you are pregnant," She replied in one go and my eyes became wide like saucers.


    I said gulping down my saliva because of nervousness," What are you saying? I am not pregnant."


    She replied," Don''t be angry, Mam. I am just saying all this noticing the symptoms in you. All the


    symptoms are indicating that you are pregnant. I am sure you are pregnant. Do you remember when


    youst have your period?"


    This time something clicked inside my head after hearing her. My body became cold remembering that


    it''s been almost 2 months since I am not having my period. My heart tightened inside my chest. I felt


    like the ground was slipped from under my feet.


    I thought that I might be having irregr periods. I never thought that I will be pregnant.


    Then, I remembered all those birth control pills which I was having regrly.


    Without wasting any time, I almost run towards my closet and took out all the birth control pills.


    After counting the pills, my hands started trembling where tears starteding out of my eyes. The


    packet of the pills falls on the floor from my hands.


    I understood that I have forgotten to take the pills after his torture. I don''t know when I forgot to take the


    pills. I was so stressed that I forgot to take the pills.


    Does that mean I am really pregnant? I am now rting all the changes in my body and bing


    nervous.


    I fall on my knees and started crying badly. What I have done? He will not ept my baby ever. I


    clutched my belly protectively. What will happen to this innocent soul! What will be my future and my


    baby''s future?


    Seeing my hysterical sobs the maid came forward and started consoling me. She said stroking my


    hairs," Don''t cry, Mam. Everything will be fine."


    " He will not ept my baby. He will kill me and my baby for sure. He has already threatened me," I


    said huping.


    I am not understanding what I should do or say. I have to tell him about my pregnancy sooner orter.


    He will obviously show me hell for bing pregnant.


    The maid said consoling me," Mam, please. Don''t cry. Talk with sir when he is in good mood. Make him


    understand that you didn''t get pregnant purposely. You just forgot to take the pills. I hope he will


    understand."


    " No...He will never understand. He will never listen to any of my words," I said crying like a madwoman


    and cursing myself for my stupidity.


    I am sobbing over my miserable fate and stupidity when my phone started ringing. I am not in the state


    to talk with anyone.


    I took the phone to cut the call. When I will just cut the call when I saw the caller id. It''s from the


    hospital where Asif''s treatment was running. I didn''t understand why the authority is calling me now. Is


    there any kind of emergency? Is my brother ok?


    I wiped the tears hurriedly from my cheeks and received the call.


    Before I could say hello I heard a female voice. She might be the receptionist.


    She said with her professional voice," Meher Afroz khan?"
