“Are you Jenny?” the woman asked with a predatory gaze.
Jenny looked at her helplessly, feeling the paining from her wrist vividly. She couldn’t muster up
the strength to talk to her assant at all.
The woman wasn’t angry and continued to exert force. She finally removed her foot when she saw
Jenny’s increasingly strained expression.

pretty the woman Evan loved could be.”

“What do you think? I’m just giving her a little lesson.’ Olivia Myers stood up, looking at Jenny as if she
was looking at something filthy. “Evan has suffered so much because of her. Are you still going to help
her?” she asked.
Howard red at her and warned impatiently, ‘She’s the person Boss wants. He won’t let you off the
hook if you dare to touch her.”
Olivia was a little intimidated when she heard that, but she still countered boldly, “Evan was shot
because of her. Does he still like her after what she’d made him go through?’
Howard rolled his eyes and gave Olivia a dismissive wave. ‘Do you think you really know Boss so well?
Step aside. He wants to see her.”
“Evan is awake?” Olivia was delighted, and without waiting for Howard to say anything else, she’d
already left the dungeon to see Evan.
Howard looked at the severely weakened Jenny and cautioned coldly, “I’ve already told you everything
you need to know. If you’re a smart person, you should know what to do. You’re on our turf now. If you
want to survive, you better not make Boss unhappy.”
He kept repeating himself, not because he was concerned about Jenny, but because he was worried
about Evan.
Evan had just woken up, and his body hadn’t fully recovered. If Jenny were to act up and go against his

there.
“Jenny,” he called out and beckoned to her, but Jenny stood still. Seeing Evan again made Jenny feel
as if she’d gone back in time somehow.
When she didn’t move, Howard pushed her forward. “Boss, she’s just too worried about you. She’s still
in shock upon seeing that you’ve woken up.”
