Chapter 733
Chapter 733
Owen agreed, thinking to himself that it seemed like Liam and Clyde had a falling out.
Once they got in the car, Owen gave it some thought and advised Liam, “Mr. Reed, you should let your
subordinates handle these situations in the future. There’s no need for you to get your hands dirty.”
He was genuinely scared by the sight of Liam getting out of his suit and rolling up his sleeves earlier.

If Mr. Reed took matters into his own hands and something went wrong, no one could shoulder that
responsibility.
Liam nced at him and said, “Who said I was going to throw down?”
Owen blinked. “Didn’t you just say…”
Liam stated, “If they came at me one by one, I could handle it. But if they ganged up on me,” Liam
paused. “Then I’d have to trouble Owen.”
Owen got a shock: “Mr. Reed, I can’t fight.”
“I didn’t ask you to fight,” Liam unbuttoned his shirt a bit. “Just get beat up. You y the victim pretty
well, and I could even give you some time off.”
Owen thought to himself, what a great boss you are.
While they were talking, Skyler called.
“Liam, have you gone mad? You had the cops take Kaylee away; who knows what kind of people are in
there? Is that a ce for humans? Aren’t you afraid of her getting bullied?”
Liam replied casually, “She needs to see the ugly side of society, so she won’t expect people to always
give way to her.”
His words were dripping with sarcasm, and Skyler’s face turned sour immediately. “You cold–hearted
man! She’s your sister! Have you forgotten how well she treated you when you were young? All
because of a woman, you’re treating your own family like this?”
Liam sneered, “You should be d that Kaylee and I share some blood; otherwise, she wouldn’t even
get the chance to walk out of the police station!” He paused, then added, “Don’t do anything stupid, and
definitely don’t go looking for Clyde. You wouldn’t want any nasty rumors reaching Grandma, would
you?”
Skyler’s face turned ashen. “Are you threatening me?”
“It’s a warning.”
After saying that, Liam hung up before Skyler could blow his top. He then ordered Owen, “Keep an eye
on her; don’t let her bail Kaylee out.”
Just as Celeste got home and was changing her shoes, Nics called, “Celeste, are you home?”
“Yes, what’s up?”
“Nothing, Nics coughed. “I just wanted to ask, is your roommate home?”
“Trisha?”
Celeste thought for a moment, looked at the entrance, and noticed Trisha’s shoes and bag were there.
She should be home. She asked, “You need her for something?”
“Not really,” Nics said. “We had a small argument; she left first and isn’t answering my calls. I’m
worried she didn’t get home, so I called to check. If she’s home, then it’s fine; I’ll hang up now.”
Celeste was a bit puzzled.
What could Nics and Trisha possibly be arguing about that would make him swallow his pride and
ask her?
