    Serenity finished washing her hands and was drying them with a paper towel when she noticed a figure

    The other person was just as surprised as she was. “Serenity? What are you doing here?!”


    Serenity never thought she would bump into Liliana here. Instead of the suit she used to wear, she was


    dressed more like at janitor.


    “What? Is there a problem with me being here?” snapped Serenity harshly.


    Ever since Liliana had assigned her case to the neers at the firm, the seed of hatred had been


    sowed deep in Serenity’s heart.


    Back then, she used to think Liliana was just pettler than her other colleagues, but her “cruelty” turned


    out to be far more than she had anticipated.


    Liliana red angrily at Serenity. It was now her turn to be theughingstock of the firm. From an


    attorney, she had been demoted to a janitor. All this had happened thanks to Serenity.


    Who would have expected Lucas to retate for her sake?


    On the second day, she was ordered by her boss into the office, where she was presented with two


    options. She could either resign from her job or be transferred to some other department. For now, she


    would be working as a janitor. As for where she would be assigned next, things remained uncertain.


    She struggled for half a day before finally choosing the second option. After all, she hadn’t found a new


    firm yet. If she suddenly announced that she had resigned from her job, she would feel humiliated in
