They needed no further explanation and rooted around in the bags for the present Endermon''s parents had placed in there. They pulled out a rather small parcel and handed it to Rutus. She tore into it and was speechless when she saw what it was.
It was a deed to the stable that they had put their horses in. The note stated that anyone who used the stable owed Rutus money. It wasn''t a lot, so it wouldn''t be immediate, but it would build up. So every so often someone would have to collect the money.
Rutus asked how they would enforce that, if they were rarely there, and Rutus flipped the note over and it said as soon as the deed (which was enchanted) passed the threshold, would prevent them from leaving until they paid.
And also the person or persons collecting the money would have to say a word or phrase to collect the money. It could be anything, but once it was in place, it could not be changed. So make sure it was something that could have multiple meanings should anything happen.
As soon as she finished reading the note, it crumbled into red ashy powder. That looked suspiciously like the powder Endermon had given her parents. This did not escape the other two''s notice either.
So this meant the fairy kingdom would profit from the dwarves, and Endermon was going to have a word with her parents. A bird landed on Endermon''s shoulder and began speaking.
It said there were no strings attached and the stable was Rutus''s free and clear. But there would always be an animal keeping watch and they would know if there were any wrongdoings. Endermon told them what the bird said as it flew away.
They all agreed that was the best option, and now, outside of the shared estate, Rutus was a landowner. Sure it was only a couple hundred square feet, but hey, she had to start somewhere.
They asked what Rutus what the password would be, and Rutus shrugged and said she''d know when the time was right. They said alright, and chatted for a while about heading back and Rutus saidshe should go and tell her parents.

As they waited for Rutus to return, Endermon amused Shiloh by making the foliage make shapes and words. When they heard Rutus heading back, Endermon let the foliage do as it pleased. She also thanked it for being entertaining. It appeared to wave at her.
They gathered their belongings and headed to Rutus''s stable. As soon as they entered, there was a brief shimmery effect, and Rutus said, By the legends of Tirumia, welcome to Skarmout stables. Then the shimmer disappeared and by the door was a box with a slot in it.
They all looked shocked including Rutus, who seemed most affected. They asked how much Rutus would ask for and she said she didn''t know. Shiloh, who had rented stables before said a price which was slightly below what was usually quoted.
Rutus said that sounded like a good enough price and as Endermon got the horses ready, Shiloh counted out the amount and put it in the box. And by the time the horses were packed, the door was open and they were ready to leave.
They walked the horses down the trail, and even though it took a little longer with the three of them, they made good time. When they got back to the meadow, they were getting hungry. So they set up and made a quick lunch.
While they were eating, Shiloh asked where that phrase came from. Rutus said she had no idea, it was coming out of her mouth before she was even conscious of saying anything. Shiloh took a drink and said that it sounded cool anyway.
They finished eating lunch and got back on their horses heading for Dresden''s village. They chatted as they rode on, wondering how they knew when would be a good time to have someone collect the money, and where would it go, once acquired. They figured Rutus would have to Come up with a time and tell the designated person.
